What's a Poké bowl with no pickled ginger and Wasabi? My bowl didn't come with that as well as the sesame seeds and seaweed toppings (I actually had to ask for the sesame seeds and seaweed after the lid was put on). I thought Umami would have unlimited toppings like other Poké places do but here you only get 3. And if you want avocado, and even though the menu states it's an extra $1 (understandable), once you reach your 3 it's actually an extra $2. Sorry, I'll spend my $11 plus on a Poké bowl that has limited toppings. And the portions are super small. 2 stars though for at least having fresh tuna and salmon. read more

I still really love this place, but wanted to update my review to say: I wish there were a couple of kid-friendly options on the menu, even just chicken or beef teriyaki. Because as much as my husband and I love the menu, my kids won't eat anything from here, so if I want a poke bowl, I either need to fix them something different, or eat somewhere else entirely. read more

One of the worst poke place I've ever been too..I really wanted it to work out since it's the closest to home. However, the tuna wasn't fresh and the girl serving me was really stingy. She grabbed two scoops and then started removing a scoop out of my bowl. Overall, I overpaid for what I got and I couldn't even finish. The bowls here are truly ono-licious! Great food, and great customer service. The fish is always very fresh, and the serving size they provide is way beyond what most poke places give you. There aren't many poke places in the area so when I am feeling a fish need or am taking myself to a mental hawaiian vacation I always stop by and grab a bowl. I highly suggest signing up for their points system with Clover as it allows you to get rewarded on every visit. After so many points you get free food. I like sushi but I LOVE sushi burritos! I decided to try this place out while visiting with my dad one day. He couldn't stop raving about how much he enjoyed it! In fact, I told my brother about it and he ended up going with his girlfriend too! It's very close to my house, which is convenient but I'm also afraid I'll start eating there too much because it's so delicious! I got the chef special Seahawks burrito, which was amazing. Had the Hokkaido milk tea (~$4) and the gyozas (~$5 for 6 dumplings). Gyozas were good, with a nice dipping sauce. Milk tea had a funny aftertaste at first but it was enjoyable once stirred. Easily my favorite restaurant in Everett! When I found out there was a Poke and Sushi Burrito place in town, I was there instantly. It did not disappoint, and I've gone back many, many times since! I love a restaurant that allows you to customize your order, and you can do that with every detail of your bowl at Umami! It's like a Subway for Poke, where you tell them the base, the proteins, the toppings, and the sauces you want. The same goes for the sushi burritos, or you can order one of their chef specials. They also have some other specialty bowls, like the unagi bowl, which are equally delicious! I've tried many different things from Umami and every single meal has been amazing! Now, you might be thinking, a lot of poke places are like this, however, Umami stands out because the quality and flavors of the ingredients are top notch! I've had lots of unagi from lots of different places, their unagi is somehow some of the best! The salmon is always fresh and tender, as are all the ingredients. I frequent Poke Pekoe at the SPO so I've been wanting to try Unami. I finally came in one Friday afternoon and ordered a few things off their menu board. I ordered two identical Poke Bowls with rice/salad; tuna; shrimp; avocado, tamago and mango. Just okay. Portions weren't enough. I also tried the Snow Mountain Burrito - shrimp tempura, snow crab, avocado, cucumber, eel sauce - not my favorite and would not order again. The sides were okay - chicken karage (seems to have been sitting on the hot well for sometime it dried out); takoyaki (I've had better) and gyoza which was fine. Staff were friendly, but I wasn't too happy when the staff was in the middle of putting my order together and another customer walked in and the staff dropped everything to ring up her order and proceeded to make her bowl. Okay, I get it, I ordered and paid for a few items and the other customer only ordered one bowl, but the staff could have said something as a courtesy. First one i went in-store to order a regular bowl of spicy tuna x2 but the guy serving me gave me spicy salmon, only noticed it after i went home and tried it. Who would have thought it was spicy salmon that is getting on my bowl when in fact i said spicy tuna clearly. ( he probably did it on purpose ). I was so frustrated and threw out $30 on the trash! And lastly i gave them another try. Ordered online and getting the same x2 spicy tuna regular bowl, picking up the food, i went home and tried it. the spicy tuna only had a small portion and it had a grayish color of it! You know a tuna is fresh when it just melts in your mouth! And under of it was a spicy salmon! I dont eat raw salmon! Only wanted the raw tuna! Just tell me when your out of tuna! Walking in the door is smells good the staff is amazing very sweet and friendly people. The place looks nice and has a well thought out menu and ordering system. I went for their specialty the poke bowl sushi style salmon and tuna being my protein. The food is fresh and looks like a lot of work goes into the prep for each day. I also ordered a bubble tea toro flavor with light boba. They prepared the food fast and I was out the door. Now I'm eating the food the poke is nothing special not out of this world delicious not melt in your mouth fish just nice and easy it's fresh but nothing amazing I would eat again when I'm in the mood but I want a poke place to be better the Costco poke and it's not. The tea is the real reason for the low rating it's just an iced milk drink with boba when I think bubble tea especially a fun flavor it should be blended and smooth and sweat. It's a tasty place but they got me and my dads order wrong this time. They said it would be maybe 7-10 minutes so we said what we wanted and then waited. Once we got home To eat it I noticed there were carrots and seaweed salad which is not what I said I wanted and I asked for spicy Mayo and there wasn't any in there. I couldn't really enjoy it because the carrots and seaweed salad in there ruined it for me :/ as for my dad they barely put any tuna so he said it was like eating rice and the vegetables he added in. I love that you can pick all of your own topping for the poke and there are enough variations in protein that you could potentially please any type of person. This place really does have it all since they also sell sushi, sushi burritos, and bubble tea. I went yesterday evening. We are.frequent customers, but yesterday the young lady helping us was wearing her facemask only covering her mouth, and barely. I asked her if she could cover her nose, and she said she forgot it was down, and it was too hot. I asked her again to pull it up, and she got really offended, riled her eyes etc. I asked if I inconvenienced her. She said no, it was just too hot. She then was murmuring under her breath, and I couldn't hear her. Or burritos were thrown together, and not tightly wrapped so they fell apart. Normally this place will give you 2 scoops of protein, she only gave 1 to my daughter, but 3 in mine. Zero quality control, disregard for covid precautions.
