The counter employee repeated the order back to the kitchen as "half pineapple." When the pizza was brought out, it was half pineapple and ham. I called politely to explain the mistake and asked if it could be corrected. Instead of acknowledging that there may have been a mix-up and offering to fix it, I was argued with and told that my brother had ordered a Hawaiian pizza. I've been vegetarian for 14 years, and my brother knows that. He would never intentionally order a Hawaiian pizza for me. The woman on the phone, who I believe was the same employee who took the order, repeatedly told me, "He said Hawaiian," rather than trying to resolve the issue. I completely understand that mistakes happen. What I don't understand is why a simple mistake couldn't just be acknowledged and corrected without arguing with the customer. Side note: I had my one-year-old with me, so I really wasn't interested in going back and forth over a pizza. I was simply trying to get the order corrected and move on.
