    Baked Ziti
    Maria S.

Ordered take out from here for dinner today, for the second time and had a good experience. I tried the Portobello salad, which I asked for without tomatoes but they did add them. I removed them so it's not a huge deal. Besides that the salad was great, all ingredients were fresh and the portion was huge. The baked ziti was absolutely delicious and my favorite. I split some of this and the portion was enough for two people. It also came with bread and a side caesar salad. Overall, I would come here again! The service was good and the food was fresh.

Very good pizza and definitely satisfying the hunger. Quick, fast, courteous and clean.

    Spaghetti with white clam sauce

We've been living here for 21 years and have only ever stopped in for a few slices of pizza during lunch. On this occasion, we had the opportunity to eat dinner here and it was surprisingly good. Service was very good. We started with a bottle of inexpensive red wine and some baked clams. The wine was totally acceptable and the baked clams were fresh, plump, seasoned well and served with a rich sauce (maybe olive oil and butter?-but very flavorful and perfect for dipping the complimentary, warm Italian bread). Our entrees were the scallops with risotto, linguine with white clam sauce, and the homemade sausage with broccoli rabe and sweet red peppers. Scallops were on the small side, but fresh and delicious, as was the risotto, served correctly, al dente, still slightly firm in the center. Linguine with white clam sauce included plump littlenecks in a flavorful, garlicky olive oil base, pasta was also just a touch past al dente, but totally delicious. The best dish of the night was the homemade sausage and broccoli rabe served with a side of linguine and marinara sauce. The sausage was juicy, not over cooked and the broccoli rabe was sauteed in sliced garlic and garnished with some sweet red pepper slices as well. The fennel wasn't strong and not overly salted. The serving size was generous and easily served 2. We finished up with some cappuccinos. Totally surprised that we haven't eaten dinner here sooner and also slightly surprised by the low ratings. Dinner for 3 with an appetizer and bottle of wine, tax and tip, just slightly under $200. Pretty fair for the quality, quantity and service. Manhasset is home.

The rabe, sausage pizza was yummy even though the crust was a bit soggy. The neopolitan was very good but I feel the crust is off. Maybe they're using a different flour now. Good service even though restaurant was empty and hostess asked if I had a reservation. Lol.

Aperol Spritz: aperol, prosecco and Seltzer. Enjoyed every drop.

What a turnaround! My prior review was from 3 years ago when the restaurant was called Sandro's and…read morebefore the renovation. We would not have come back except we had plans with friends who wanted to meet here. So glad we did! My main complaint before was the acoustics. The renovation with added decor to dampen noise did the trick. I didn't even notice that the restaurant was full. We ordered different dishes and ate it family style so got to try a few different dishes. I didn't order so don't know the specific names but we shared a salad, a spicy calamari, egg yolk ravioli, black linguini with seafood, catfish, and a veal parm. I especially enjoyed the ravioli. Flavors were nice on all the dishes. I don't know if it was the company but I didn't notice a lapse in service. The servers were attentive. The parking was still ample. I'm glad we came back and a little regretful that we waited so long.

Let me start by saying this was hands down one of the most exceptional dining experiences I've had…read morein a long time. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was truly next-level. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and every single person from the host to the bartender to our server and everyone in between played a part in making the night feel special. The attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine kindness did not go unnoticed, and it set the tone for the entire evening. We were first greeted with warm bread and olive oil, which was absolutely delightful and the perfect start. Our server, Paulino (I hope I'm spelling his name right), guided us through the menu with such care and knowledge, which made the experience even better. We started with the mussels Bianco and baked clams both were outstanding, easily a 9/10. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, we had the branzino and a pasta dish that was nothing short of amazing. The attention to detail like freshly cracked pepper added right at the table made everything feel elevated and thoughtfully done. To end the night, I mentioned that my mom had just passed her real estate exam and that we were celebrating her. They went above and beyond by bringing out an apple crostini with a candle, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. And yes, we devoured the entire thing. It was that good. Truly a 10000/10 moment. What made this experience even more meaningful is that it came after a long, stressful day at the ER. Walking into such warmth, care, and genuine hospitality meant more than I can put into words. Thank you again for the incredible service, attentiveness, and overall experience. I truly wish I could remember everyone's names because each person we encountered was a pleasure. Please let them know my mom and I are so grateful. We dined on April 3rd around 9 PM, and it's a night we won't forget.
