We came here yesterday bc I wanted some catfish and my bf wanted some fried oysters. We haven't came here in 2 years but I remember it being really good. Food didn't take long to come out and we realized their portions were smaller than before. I ordered catfish and fried shrimp. I didn't even finish my food because there was that oily after taste and it just didn't sit right with my taste buds. It was like the oil was old or hasn't been changed out; or maybe they didn't drain the oil off the shrimp and catfish. The oil just coated the shrimp and catfish. My boyfriend was upset about how small his portion was. We paid about $70ish dollars and it wasn't even worth it to me. Cool and fun looking place that I went with the family a few years back while they visited me while I was in town for training. We had enough to share and brought the rest back to the hotel . They bring you white beans , hush puppies, creamy coleslaw, pickles and onions . This restaurant is authentic southern cuisine at its finest. The service was friendly and on point. The waitress immediately brought to the table hush puppies, coleslaw, baked beans and pickles. I would have been so happy with just that as my meal. The best baked beans and coleslaw I ever had. My first time trying catfish and I was pleasantly surprised. Seated right away and was brought bowls of white beans, slaw, pickle slices with sweet onion, and very delicious Hush Puppies. Went to Uncle Bud's on a Saturday night around 6pm. After reading on Google that there is usually up to a 45 minute wait, we were happily surprised to be seated (table for two) within 10 minutes. Our waiter, greeted our table with hush puppies, pickles + sweet onions, coleslaw, and white beans then brought us some waters shortly thereafter. We ordered the catfish fillet and the frog legs which both came with fries. The catfish fillets are a bit small, but I didn't mind given the delicious never-ending fixins - could've filled up on those alone. The catfish is to die for!!! Wish we ordered more of it. The jambalaya was okay, but a little greasy with not a lot of meat.
