We visited Aquarium Restaurant for Father's Day lunch and had a wonderful experience, giving it a solid 4 stars. The Vibe & Ambiance: The atmosphere here is absolutely incredible! We had just visited Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg the day before, and eating here felt like a seamless extension of that experience. You are completely surrounded by stunning marine life. One important tip: it is very cold inside the dining room. They understandably need to keep the temperature low for the massive aquarium tanks, so definitely bring a sweatshirt or light jacket along to stay comfortable. The Food: The food was amazingly good. We started with the shrimp & crab dip appetizer, which was rich and flavorful. For our main courses, we had the steak and lobster, the grilled shrimp, and everything was cooked perfectly. The Service: Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. However, the kitchen was severely backed up due to the Father's Day lunch rush, so our meal took a very long time to arrive--just over 40 minutes. We didn't mind too much since our server was so nice and we had the fish tanks to look at, but it is something to keep in mind on major holidays. Location & Convenience: The restaurant is located right inside the Opry Mills mall, which made parking incredibly easy. It is also situated right next door to the Grand Ole Opry House, making it the perfect spot to grab a bite if you plan to visit there too!

    Castaway Combo. Typical, nothing special.

Sam S. was super nice! Decided to try it because I've never had alligator before and it just basically tasted like breaded nothing. Dip was not as good as I thought it would be and everything else was pretty much typical. I would not order again.

We heard good things about how cool this restaurant was and the food being pretty good too. So we came and were not disappointed. The staff was really nice and prompt. There were cool fish and some we had never seen before. The food was delish, we love some good noodles, seafood, a great salad. We left full and impressed.

The food was okay. Not five star, but it'll definitely feed the craving for seafood. The aquarium inside the restaurant is beautiful. The service was relatively quick, and our drinks were always full.

Lets face it, you come here for the ambiance. Food is mediocre at best. Service at the bar was very good. Wouldn't rush to come back.

Enjoyed a recent visit to meet up with family staying in town near Opryland. It has been many years since I visit last. I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service was good as well. I enjoyed fresh and chip platter and it was good. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals as well. Ambiance is what you come for and loved seeing the fish. Plenty of viewing walking around too.

Because this place was in a mall thought it was just going to be ok....BUT...to our surprise the food so really good! This place wont disappoint you!

Quentin provided great service! The calamari fritto misto surprised me as it was all fried -- calamari, carrots, jalapeños, banana peppers and artichoke hearts. No seasoning at all but I was able to add some salt and pepper. Aquarium views are very calming with a fascinating collection of salt water fish. Prices are as expected; definitely worth a visit for the aquarium.

Yes this is a tourist trap but I don't care. I went to Aquarium Restaurant with my friends back in college and never wrote a review (shame on me). My friend wanted to come back so we made this a priority on our weekend getaway. We arrived Friday night and we were surprised that we did not have to wait at all to be seated. They did ask if we had a reservation so I highly suggest getting one even if you might not need it. The theming is amazing. Every small detail down to the salt and pepper shakers are themed after the ocean. They also have a massive tank with all different types of marine life in the middle of the restaurant. The menu specializes in different seafood dishes but they do provide other options if you're not a big fan of seafood. I ended up ordering the Louisiana Cajun Pasta and loved it. The portion was huge and had a spicy kick to it. It comes with spinach but the team was very accommodating in removing it due to a dietary restriction. They even put a wooden flag in the bowl so they made sure no spinach went in the dish. Since it's a tourist trap, it can be expensive. My dinner alone was 25 dollars so it's not a place I would visit often. If the restaurant wasn't as elaborate as it is, it wouldn't be worth the price but I think the experience is worth the splurge

Very cool experience, but reservations are a must -- and they are serious about timing. You only get about a 15-minute grace period, so arrive early. The highlight is definitely the ambiance. Walking through the tunnel when you arrive is awesome, and dining while surrounded by fish is a unique experience. You can also walk around and enjoy the aquarium, which is fun. The food was decent. This is definitely a place you go for the experience rather than the food. Overall, a fun and memorable stop, especially for first-timers in Nashville.

We were visiting the Opry Mills Mall when I saw the sign for the Aquarium Restaurant. I had heard from a friend that it was a really great place. I was with my family and I told them we had to stop in. Later, we were meeting some friends for dinner, so we decided to just have some drinks at the bar. The 200,000 gallon tank is in the middle of the restaurant and tables surround it. There is room for people to walk around it and stand in front of it without disturbing the diners. We saw stingrays, fish, eels and sharks, and I took plenty of pictures. I learned from their restaurant that they have mermaid shows. I will have to go back for that.

The Aquarium is in a mall. You can walk if you're able to walk a mile from the Gaylord Opry hotel. We drove. It's mostly fried food. Fun for kids because of the aquariums with fish. It's not my type of restaurant. We had the broiled crab cake and that was delicious. I had the Greek salad with shrimp. It was okay. My partner had the blackened catfish but they forgot to put the catfish on his plate. It reminds me of "The Rainforest Cafe" for those of you who know the place. It's busy. I'm a high class foodie so it's not a place I'd return to. Our waiter was bouncing and he was great! The wine was 1/4 glass for those wine concierges. Friday night reservations at 5:45. Enjoy. I gave it a 3 star due to it was noisy, LOTS of kids (naturally) and no Gluten Free options. Enjoy!

this is the first time eating here. we ordered the $22 appetizer. the cheese curds were cold so we had to send those back to get new ones. the crab dip contained no crab but shrimp and runny sauce. the quesadillas were ok. the fried alligator was tasteless. the main entree was the broiled platter. the lobster was ok and most of the platter. my son's French fries were cold so those got sent back. the restaurant was way too cold so it wasn't enjoyable. the food is overpriced!!! the aquarium was super cool too look at. that was the coolest part of dinner. military discount was nice. too expensive for the amount.

With a 4.77 aggregate rating across all user-driven platforms and nearly 1,700 reviews to date, Krustaceans is much better on paper than it is in reality, a very overrated restaurant! As the highest-rated seafood joint on the entirety of Highway 70 across the America, it simply did not live up to the hype as I passed through Nashville. Perhaps I should have ordered crab or shrimp or some other boiled seafood which seems to be more of their specialty. But the fish and chips caught my attention. Beware, these aren't the fish and chips you'll find in the UK or the Northeastern United States. Instead of a crisp, beer-battered exterior, this is more like a catfish breading. And it's not bad, but it's just very different than the name would imply. The batter is probably too salty, but the fish is very fresh! The Cajun fries are horribly mediocre. They're definitely just frozen fries from a local supermarket with an uninspiring spice mix. The employees didn't seem very welcoming either, which was kind of sad since I was excited to be there. It's not a bad meal at all, but the ratings are way higher than they should be! If you're haphazardly shelling out five-star reviews, you've probably never had real seafood on the coast and have only inflated the truth for online viewers. Don't expect too much out of Krustaceans, hope for a decent meal, and you won't be disappointed.
