I've been to UJMH numerous times and the meals are always spot-on and delicious! Tonight was magical! We tried a couple new plates - steak sandwich and the Sugarloaf burger. Holy cow the burger was super tasty but the steak sandwich was THE best I've ever had. The grilled octopus was tune best is ever been! Super tender! We asked to be seated on their covered patio since it was a beautiful, sunny, and warm summer day! Loved the indoor space as much as the outdoor. The decor inside is unique. Looks like a cool and fancy butcher shop. I tried the following: Applewood Smoked Bacon $12 Ooey Gooey Mooey Burger with fries $17 Passion Mule $5 One of the girls had been here before and recommended the bacon app. So glad she did! The hype is REAL, y'all. Never thought about spreading peanut butter on my bacon, but I kinda liked it. The Ooey Gooey Mooey burger typically comes with prime beef, "secret sauce," onion jam, maple pepper bacon, and buttermilk bleu cheese fondue. However, I had them swap the cheese for pimento, I think. The burger is huge in size and flavor. Thoroughly enjoyed it with the seasoned fries. The passion mule is one of their signature mocktail drinks. Comes with passion fruit puree, ginger beer, cucumber, and lime. Very refreshing! Service was fast and pleasant. We went in for lunch after a photo shoot and never expected to discover that gourmet cuts of bacon dipped in house-made smooth peanutty goodness could be so delicious. We were warned ahead of time that it was a bit pricey... and indeed it was, especially for lunch. But as one of our last meals in town, we were okay springing for the extra treat. Service was friendly, food was hot, and, honestly, the greeting by the young hostesses were genuinely nice/personable people and good front-of-house representatives. So unusual these days in most restaurants. Minuses - The Prime Rib-Eye I ordered was cooked to the right temp but not a $39 cut of meat. Very gristly. Could've been a one-off bad cut. To our server's credit, he offered for me to speak with the manager but I declined and he took it off our bill. I helped my wife eat her steak so it all turned out ok. Nonetheless, would eat here again. FYI, sensitive NON-smokers be advised: an outdoor smokers' lounge area is next to the outdoor tables so you WILL catch the wafting of cigars, etc during the meal. I always enjoy the friendly service and food here--the reason I'm giving it only three stars is because of the price for the food portion quantity. Prices have increased and portions have gotten smaller. Very disappointing. I understand increased pricing, however why penalize us both ways with higher prices for smaller portions? I finally found "my jam" here. I've been several times before and the only thing that impressed me was the bacon. But that all changed on my last visit! I am a huge seafood lover. I decided to get wild and crazy and order the Jack Pot after I read all the different seafoods included in this. Let me tell you, this was amazing! In a tasty coconut milk seasoned beautifully, there is a sea of swimming muscles, shrimp, fish (salmon this time), crab claw and lobster! The grilled bread was great to dip in the broth. I LOVED IT! I also loved the bacon with homemade peanut butter and chipotle(?) maple syrup. I loved, loved, loved the Brussels sprouts. The cheesy cauliflower was good (and I hate cauliflower). The macaroni and cheese was good too. My favorite drink? On the "mock tail" list there is a blueberry spritzer. I had them add gin and I had the most glorious beverage ever. Definitely a better experience than the last time I came. The food was really good, had the steak sandwich was dynamite. So much great flavor and tender steak! Had a Smokey cocktail that was nicely balanced as well. The only negatives tonight were that the bacon was much fattier than normal and I'm not a fan of that so only ate a couple pieces, kinda surprised she didn't notice but it was getting late. I've been here a few times when I'm in town for business, never had a bad experience. Last week, everyone who was with me ordered the Monday BBQ special. Let me just say, this was the worst BBQ I've ever had in my life, and I'm from Washington state - where there is only a handful of BBQ joints, and only a couple of good places to eat when ordering BBQ. The BBQ ribs at the Delta lounge at the Hartsfield-Jackson airport were wayyyy better than this place. I mean, the onion rings weren't even good. The slaw tasted spoiled. The only good thing on the plate was the cornbread. I never expected bad BBQ from Georgia, but I guess that is not always the case. If you visit this place, don't order the BBQ. read more

Great service. Our server, Gloria, was patient, attentive & just has a great personality. Our food was fresh and delicious. Nice, clean restaurant with a hip vibe. The manager Sean, obviously has a passion for the restaurant business. We started with the charcuterie board. The goat cheese was surprisingly delicious as well as the hummus. The ambiance here is more that of a sports bar than a fine restaurant, but the food here is as good as any high end restaurant. The bacon appetizer is to die for. Everything I've had here was great which includes several burgers, smoked brisket and the ribs. Everything was awesome and I wouldn't hesitate to order a steak but I've just not been in the mood. This location is convenient for the Gas South area hotels and it was so good I didn't feel the need to venture any further than the .5 mile drive up the road. Charred to a point where the charness was all I can taste. Second it was tough and extremely chewy. Not only did I almost choked but also had to spit it out after chewing on a piece for what seemed like several minutes. Third, prices are extremely high. Steaks come with no sides, therefore have to pay additional 8-12 for a side, on top of an expensive steak. This was the first and last time coming here. If you're thinking that coming to a restaraunt called meat house will have good steaks, then you are absolutely wrong. I've honestly had better steak at chilis or Applebees for a third of the price meat house charges. Not worth your time or money. We started our night out with the pork belly, which was extremely salty and chewy but did have good flavor! The Gruyère pop over were delicious but sadly was still cold in the middle but hands down a must try. We shared a beet salad with a charred onion vinaigrette, truly the best part of the meal. For dinner I ordered the "Ooey Gooey Mooey" Burger which was cooked perfectly medium and juicy but was extremely salty that you couldn't enjoy the burger it self-and I am normally the one asking for salt at some restaurants but for this burger I had to ask for water--my partner ordered the Sugarloaf burger which he couldn't finish as well over the high volume of salt the burger had. Our Bill had the charged steak that we couldn't eat. Also no apology on the overcooked steak. Ordered chicken sandwich that said it would be topped with coleslaw also it said the sandwich would be sweet and spicy which it wasn't at all it was just a regular fried chicken sandwich. Stuck in a small plaza next to a T-mobile shop and Vinny'a pizzeria, the restaurant was more of a nice Gastropub. For a place that offers $45 steaks with no sides, you would think you couldn't stroll up in a t-shirt and flip flops, but in fact, most patrons were very casual. Also, I was surprised that a kids menu was not available for a place in suburban Suwanee. We ordered a variety of dishes including surf and turfs, Mediterranean salad, Mojo salad, and burgers with a mix of sides. The shrimp and salmon was WAY too salty and the sides were all small - I'd recommend shareable by 2 ppl, 3 max. The best things we got were the meatballs to start ($14 for 5 meatballs) and charred octopus. Another feature that surprised us was the fact that our check stated that a 3.9% service charge would be added if we paid by card. I eat out often, however, I have never seen this at a restaurant at the pricing tier of Uncle Jack's. And if your bill is $300 ... well, it adds up. Fabulous! The scenery, the service, the food, oh so good! We both ordered burgers and honey, the burgers are so much food you'll be limping out of there. To start we sat in the shaded patio and with the lights and decor it was already a mood. It had a nice breeze and lighting that gave a romantic feel. For drinks I got the margarita and my pal got the Moscow mule and no complaints there. We def were feeling a tinge after one drink. Now the burgers did not disappoint. I wish my pictures did it justice. They were big and juicy and the bacon jam mash on mine added a perfect taste and balance on the burger. I selected this restaurant because we wanted to try something different for my wife's birthday. We had a party of 13 and had called several places to find someone who would take a reservation for that many in a Saturday evening. I was told I would have to make a $250 deposit to make a reservation.l and it would be applied as a credit to our bill. They didn't tell me this until the day of our event so I reluctantly agreed. We were really disappointed at the quality of the food and service. The waitress forgot drink orders, sauces and sides for our meal. Our steaks were way over cooked and our "jumbo" shrimp were 3 tiny shrimp. Our meal came to about $550 before the tip and I was told they had already charged my card for $250 plus a $7.95 service charge. They said my card would be refunded in 5-7 days. The only redeeming quality part of our dinner is the two desserts we ordered were really good but couldn't make up for the rest of the experience.
