I came for a get together of 9 people. Our waiter was very bad at getting our stuff, refilling drinks, etc. I had beef quesadillas and it was mediocre. I'm mainly giving it 2 stars bc of service, if I could just rate the food it would be 3 stars. It took him 1 hour to get our orders (yes we were waiting on a few others, but he didn't need to wait that long). He missed several of our drinks we had to ask him for them. Then it took him another hour to get us to go boxes, our checks and payments. It was ridiculous. May be a great place for smaller parties, but I don't know. read more

Went on a busy Saturday night. The chips here are amazing, the salsa they come with is a bit bland but the chips make up for it for sure, I was eating them by themselves. We started with a house margarita and a "Swirl" margarita, both very good but the house margarita was quite sour, so get the "Swirl" if you're not into super sour drinks. Guacamole and Queso combo appetizer was fantastic! Queso tasted great and had generous chunks of pico in it. Guacamole was also fantastic. Our guac wasn't tableside, but I saw our neighbors get the tableside guac, which you can customize to your taste, and it looked so good I'm going to go back next weekend just for that! I got the Guadalajara Fajitas: 3 shrimp diablo (shrimp, cheese & jalepeno, wrapped in bacon) AND chicken AND beef fajitas. Everything about this dish was amazing. Wife got the Cheese Enchilada dish which she really enjoyed. We were too stuffed for desert, but that Chocolate Piñata looks worthy of a special trip. Our server was Kayla. She did a great job introducing us to the concept, the made-from-scratch open kitchen and had great recommendations. I would definitely recommend her. The ambiance is nice but what really impressed me was the ample waiting space inside and outside. They have couches where you can order drinks, and even one with a little fire pit for chilly nights. This is a good thing since they are new and wait time can be longer than expected, even with a reservation. The wait was worth it, though. I won't just be back, I CAN'T WAIT to go back. Finally got around to trying the place. I had high expectations, unfortunately they fell short. The place has a lot of potential, the dining area is nicely spaced and decorated, the outside sitting is very nice. Our server was overwhelmed with too many tables and the place was not even full. She tried though. Now the reason for the 2 stars, very overpriced, the fajitas had no flavor, no seasoning. The beef fajitas are mostly fatty, the rice and beans as well had not much taste. We ordered the chocolate piñata filled with fruit and mini churros. The churros were burnt. However they did replace them with fresh ones. Loved this beautiful restaurant! This is a large Mexican restaurant that's pretty busy. Has a nice bar area and is located in a newer shopping area, with outdoor seating and pleasant views. The food is great! Service is top notch! The only thing that stops me from giving another star is that they offer craft beer, but it is served in a bottle and is pricey. We have been coming here for years because their food and margaritas are amazing! We recently went here and their margaritas are now super sweet and overpowering with sweet and sour mix. I have been to other Uncle Julio's locations and never been a fan, but this location has changed my mind! I went to this location over the weekend and it was slammed, but we had a reservation and got seated pretty quickly. We order the table side guacamole and I loved that they actually made it table side. Many restaurants list table side guacamole, but make it in the back and bring it to the table. It was very fresh and you can even customize what goes in it which was a nice touch. For dinner my husband had the shrimp tacos and I had the pulled chicken flautas. We both really enjoyed our dishes very much. Service at this location was a tad slow, but understandable since they were so busy. read more

While in town for work, I stopped here with some coworkers for a late dinner. We sat outside and we were the only table out there and only a handful of tables were occupied inside. Our waiter was polite but I think he kept forgetting we were there because he would disappear for long periods of time. We started with a queso and guac dip and chips, both were delicious. My entree was two beef enchiladas with rice and beans. My coworkers got chicken enchiladas, fajitas and quesadillas. We all enjoyed our selections and were happy. Stopped in with a group of friends because we had heard great things about this spot! We ordered the white queso (which apparently is very hard to find around these parts of Texas), and guacamole. Everyone LOVED the chips & queso, even the table salsa was great. Our server was kind enough to bring over a spicier version of their salsa too which was really great! We ordered a variety of margaritas, I ordered a blackberry margarita and had the server add muddled jalapeños (which they did, and it was amazing!). Overall, would definitely come back for drinks & apps- pretty big restaurant with nice outdoor seating and a big fire pit and heat lamps. UPDATE: I came here again last weekend and am changing review from 4 to 5! Had fajitas and enchiladas and was much more impressed with the entrees this time. My husband and I have been here three times before; tonight is the fourth time. We have LOVED it every single time we've been -- the food is good, the service is pretty good, BUT...tonight my husband had two drinks over an hour. I had one drink over that hour (wine) and ordered another. TWO hours into our visit (we ordered copious numbers of over-priced appetizers), I got a last glass of wine. My husband had finished three drinks of Jack Daniels whiskey & coke over the TWO hours we were there (and I have it ALL notated on my phone with exact times to the second) and wanted a "shot" of this new tequila. Well, five minutes later they tell my husband they have a "three drink limit" and that he can't have the shot of tequila. One, I KNOW my husband and he weighs 200 pounds and three drinks over two hours is nothing. What REALLY happened (we were sitting at the bar) is that they MUST have heard us discussing our Faith and a little (very little) politics. We have 7 kids and when we go out we talk about all those things we want to (maybe) discuss with them (or maybe not). It's our only true alone time. Additionally, how do they KNOW we weren't going to call an Uber, OR even that we didn't have a limo waiting (my brother's best friend owns MANY restaurants and KNOWS how to run them -- even has a private jet)? How do they know? Because I could have had a limo there in a blink. Just saying. We'll never spend our money there again. read more

Horrible service. My son and his group of friends went there for Homecoming dinner this past weekend and they were treated horribly. It was their last homecoming since they're senior is. Even though they're teenagers, we've taught them how to order, conduct themselves, and tip well (minimum 20%). Perhaps the waiter underestimated a "bunch of teenagers" because their bill was not high (no alcohol). Regardless, our kids should have been treated with respect. They were well behaved, not perfect, but they know how to act in a restaurant and they were paying customers. The waiters were not courteous, friendly, attentive nor did they get their orders right. Really disappointed with the service. Food was good, but took about an hour to get served our fajatias; had to flag down the manager to check on our order status (after our waiter had checked twice). Guess we were seated in the wrong section as the table adjacent to us sat down 10 minutes after we did, ordered the same meal, it arrived and they completed their dinner and left the restaurant before our food came out of the kitchen. The manager offered no apology and said we should get dessert on her- but the waiter was unaware of her offer (would have taken another 15 minutes to resolve) so we left as it's a school night. My new favorite Mexican restaurant. I had fajitas they were amazing.. the beef was like a steak.. tortillas were just made and still warm in a unique container. Our sever Miguel was the best. Our server Ashley was amazing, hostess Ariel is absolutely incompetent , if my father in law was meeting us there I would have walked out due to the hostess attitude ! If I was the owner I could not let lazy attitude sink my business she is not the nicest person. My sister in law asked her if she knew where to get a hot cup of water for my daughters bottle and Ariel stated they don't have hot water ! Really ? Are you kidding me ? I went up to her on our way out and let her know you can request hot water ! Saying it I felt completely stupid because what kind of restaurant can't get warm water ?
