On top of this both Corgi's became extremely aggressive towards each other. We had to keep them separated at all times, unless we wanted to risk getting a stray bite from trying to break them up. With a baby on the way I was faced with a decision. I could either get rid of one of the dogs, who was my first dog or look at alternative options: try to adopt out a dog known to be aggressive or probably end up euthanized. I was fortunate to be put in touch with Anton Yablonsky who scheduled a consultation came over and did an assessment based off of listening to our past history with the dogs. I love my dogs to death and was tearing up at the end knowing that I might have to say goodbye because I couldn't trust them around my child. Anton took the time to understand everything and both dogs were boarded once he could see that they both were aggressive towards each other. They were boarded for 6 weeks while he worked with them and what I appreciated was his honesty. They were initially scheduled to come back at 4 weeks, but he let me know that he didn't believe they were ready yet, so he kept them for an additional two weeks in order to ensure they were both properly trained. He did also stop by with the dogs, so we were able to see them in person during the training process which we both really appreciated because we did miss them. When our dogs were introduced back into our home, I was amazed at the change in their temperament. They are now calm, confident and well-behaved pets. We are truly able to enjoy our fur babies again! I can place them both on a doggy bed in my home office right next to each other and they will stay their all-day side by side without any aggression towards each other. They also understand commands on and off leash to a point where I said to my wife it's like they understand English perfectly now because they always listen to what I say. Walking with them is easy and I don't have to worry when another dog is walking towards them because they will follow my commands and sit while I speak with another dog owner. This is also true when I take them to the vet. The anxiety of having our dogs with a new baby in the house has subsided. I can't thank Anton Yablonsky enough for what he has done to save our dogs-literally. I continue to go to the group classes that he offers to continue to socialize and keep the dogs sharp with their training. I have already recommended Anton Yablonsky to friends in need. Rex also didn't greet us the way he normally does. That evening he was lethargic, panting, refused his dinner, and had several episodes of loose stool. Overnight he developed profuse diarrhea and excessive drooling and stopped eating entirely. The next morning, August 5, we took him to the OSU Veterinary Medical Center Emergency Service, where he was diagnosed with severe septic pneumonia and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS). He was hospitalized for over a week, requiring high-flow oxygen therapy, IV antibiotics, blood pressure support, and intensive monitoring before he stabilized enough to come home. Our vet bill for his treatment came to $17,148.74. Rex was healthy when we dropped him off. Within hours of pickup he was showing signs of serious illness, and he spent the following week in intensive care. I've never experienced this at another dog daycare before! I was elated that all dogs were not crammed together and had space, along with the trainers being close by. My German Shepherd Husky mixes have loved learning all that Paige and team have put in front (more like to the side ) of them. Their controlled walking has been a night and day difference, especially when there are other distractions around. We've continued to work on everything that we have learned; heel, sit, place, and come. Since I live and work downtown, it's really nice to take him to a place that's only a four minute drive! They have a spacious parking lot and it's super easy to get him in and out. The facility is awesome! They have a little store just inside the entrance and behind that is their boarding area which is in front of the daycare parks and next to the grooming station. You cannot beat the prices and service here. I was going on a last minute out of town trip and needed boarding services and they allowed me to bring Dozer in before they opened. They were so gracious to work with me. I loved watching him on the cameras. He had a blast playing with new friends and running around. Their outdoor area is awesome! It's turf so Dozer's grass allergies weren't agitated. I learned that they clean it regularly and that it has a draining system. Very cool! I was so comfortable leaving my little man there and I know he had a great time! Their grooming is awesome too! Their prices are so good and they really took care of my nervous guy. He left looking and smelling fresh! I can't recommend this place enough! And they're open 365 days a year! They have a very unique approach to doggie daycare. No cages! I was concerned at first until I saw how Christie and her staff gradually introduced other dogs to Arnold and were very aware of behaviors. I watched from a tv monitor in the lobby area. Next thing I know there are 5-7 dogs with Arnold and he was loving it. They let the dogs spend hours together the first day and today he was there a full day. I'll be boarding him overnight Friday and Saturday. The staff is very attentive to all the dogs and know how to redirect if playing gets a little escalated. Today I was working and was able to check on Arnold from my phone, watching the cams in all of the rooms. I love that he can play all day instead of being caged for 2/3 of his stay. I highly recommend CRAM to anyone who has a socialized dog, to treat them to a real play day or two. I look forward to using them more in the future!
