    Chicken kebab pita

Delicious as always! I truly crave this sandwich! From the pita to the sauce. I got lucky my brother had an appointment near there today and was kind enough to pick it up for me!

    So good!

I love TJ's! I'm a truck driver so I'm not home for a long time. When I get home I can't wait to get my large pepperoni mushroom pizza and a dozen hot wings. Best New York pizza in phoenix.

    Boneless Wings

Enjoyed a nice meaty calzone and boneless wings! I don't know, I don't do pizza that often -especially not dine in- it seems that calzones have fallen out of favor in the past couple decades; probably has been that long at an establishment that isn't part of some bowling alley or indoor kids' play area but, the moment I saw it as menu item, it was 100%. Between the sauce, meaty chunks and damn that's a lot of cheese the calzone did not disappoint. I am not a fan of wings and though I certainly don't understand the huzzah my wife got the taste for them. Didn't see bone-in (her preference) on the menu, kind of made her sad a little but she appreciated the crispy boneless bits. The sauce's spicy was just right, edging the line of numbing the tongue as once you wade into those waters all flavor is gone. (Okay for me it wasn't *that* hot) All in all, we barely finished everything and by we I mean whatever the missus can't finish I can't waste. There was a lot of food. Speaking of, I was also satisfied with the overall cost. Well done!

    Chicken parmesan

Accidentally found this place. It is close to my house, but on a side street I rarely use. The food turned out quite good though. The chicken parmesan hero had a nice amount of mozzarella melted on top and some good cutlets inside. Also tried the parmesan bread sticks and those were also very good, soft and buttery and loaded with parmesan. The dipping sauces also seemed homemade and the owner was very nice. Will return.

Picked up dinner from here last night as it was nearby and looked good! My husband and I ordered cheese breadsticks, cheese pizza, and cake! The breadsticks were very thin and crispy, a tiny bit too greasy but otherwise good! The pizza was not bad, we liked it but thought it kind of had an odd aftertaste. Glad we tried it though!

I asked two nice gents at the bar if they'd mind making room for me to pull up an unused stool a couple nearby let me move. Such kindness by everyone involved! This is the norm here and includes the entire staff. New buddies Shane and John, who made room for me and I, enjoyed our conversation, the match, and great atmosphere. I ordered my favorite (off-menu) Cuban sandwich with a side of extreme horseradish and steak fries. So good I forgot to get a pic. After settling my tab I returned to the also great pet grooming spot nearby to bring our pooches home. I would've enjoyed staying but duty called. Once home I received a wonderful thank-you text from John with a photo. His first (& highly likely not the last) Cuban sandwich! So delicious. Photo is his. What an incredible day!

As a side, y'all Ranch eaters need to grow up and be adults and start ordering Bleu Cheese. There's a whole different taste explosion when you stop eating Chicken tendies with ranch, a toy and a cleverly shaped box it all comes in. Come on over to the Bleu Cheese side and watch your finances grow, you'll find the woman of your dreams (or man), you'll drive a car instead of taking a Segway to work; possibilities are endless. I digress... Tavern Grille is one of my favorite Scottsdale staples. It's worth anyone's time to drop in and enjoy the experience.

The outside honestly looked like one of those cozy restaurants you'd see in a K-drama with the glowing lights and busy vibe. When we walked in, it was already pretty packed, and more people kept coming in after us, so that's always a good sign lol. The service was also amazing and everyone was really nice. Obviously we had to order the fried chicken, and I loved that all the sauces came on the side so you could dip and try different flavors without the chicken getting soggy. And the biggest surprise for me was the cheesy corn topped with pork. I would have never thought of that combo myself, but it was actually so good. Creamy, savory, cheesy perfection. We went pretty late at night, so parking was easy for us, but I could definitely see it getting hectic during the day since it's in the same plaza as H Mart. So best to double check before going!

After deciding on fried chicken, instead of traditional wings, it took way too long to place an order despite 5 employees (not sure if they were actually employees, it just seemed like 5 people running a co op and hanging out or something) being near us. As we were waiting for our food, we glanced around and saw many odd things like a filing cabinet used to store chopsticks and other items. We wanted to sit at the bar but half of it was taken by employees, boxes of shoes, really random items. After about 15 minutes the chicken came out. No sign of the ranch that we requested, but at least we had food. After looking at the chicken, it became apparent that they had brought us wings. I asked the employee if they had made a mistake, but he let me know that their fried chicken is all wings, despite the word "wings" never appearing on the menu in the fried chicken section. The saving grace here is that the chicken WINGS were quite tasty. The breading was crispy and the sauces were good. I could see how this would get soggy for takeout, so I recommend dining in for fried chicken WINGS. Overall, super weird place but the chicken WINGS are good.

A Hidden Gem Worth the Drive!…read more I had the most amazing chicken dinner at Caribbean Palms! The chicken was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, with just the right amount of spice. The rice was absolutely delicious, and the plantains were cooked to perfection. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding customer service. We interacted with three different staff members during our visit, and every single one was warm, welcoming, polite, and genuinely kind. You can tell they take pride in both their food and hospitality. I drove over 30 minutes from the other side of town to dine here, and it was worth every minute of the drive. There was a steady stream of customers picking up to-go orders, which speaks volumes about the quality of the food. While takeout is clearly popular, I highly recommend dining in and enjoying the full experience. This family-owned restaurant is a true hidden gem, and honestly, it serves the best Caribbean food I've ever had. I will absolutely be back and will be recommending Caribbean Palms to everyone I know!

I recently visited Caribbean Palms and walked away with mixed feelings…read more First off, the service was great. The woman kept checking on me, and I actually liked that the cook brings out the food that's a nice personal touch you don't see everywhere. That said, the portions were underwhelming. I understand it leans more toward a dine-in experience, but the oxtail serving felt small. The presentation almost plays tricks on you it comes on a large plate with separate bowls for the sides, which makes it look like more than it actually is. On top of that, having to choose between cabbage or plantains felt a bit limiting for sides. The rice was a little dry and slightly hard for my taste, but I will say the plantains were really good sweet and done right. I couldn't help but compare it to another Caribbean spot I recently tried in Glendale, where the portions were generous and the oxtail was big, tender, and full of flavor. Here, the flavor was good, but it didn't stand out. I've definitely had better, so my expectations were a bit higher. Overall, it's not a bad spot it just feels pricey for what you get. I spent around $60 total: two cocktails at $15 each, plus the oxtail at market price (which can run $30-$40). The biggest plus is convenience it's close to home, so it's an easy option when I'm craving Jamaican food. But if I'm being honest... next time, I might still find myself making that drive back out to Glendale.
