I had high hopes for this place- when I first tried it right when they opened I had a Ceylon milk tea and liked it; but, after coming back and trying the House milk tea, Oolong milk tea, Okinawa, and others, I'm left rather "eh." I tried numerous drinks in the hopes I would find one I liked (I really wanted to like these drinks) but I had a few sips and already felt finished with the drink on multiple occasions. They aren't *that* bad, but for the price? I don't think it's worth it. The interior and cups match the quality of other stores popping up, but the drinks and service don't. It's hard to be a new tea store that replaces another one, but for the price of these drinks it's tough to come by. I got their honey lemon green tea. Honestly, I will not be able to tell the difference if I got the same drink from Quickly. This place is very pricey for its drinks. My biggest disappointment is their honey boba. I don't know if this was a bad batch or what, but the boba is not chewy AT ALL and barely sweet. I hate boba's that are soft argggh. This is my new favorite go to place for drinks! Their drinks are not overly sweet. I tried the Tiramisu milk tea, Jasmine milk tea, Thai green tea (they are so bomb!!) Tiramisu milk tea: milk tea is semi sweet but most of the sweetness comes from the cream on top. It has a perfectly balance level of sweetness. I went here today to get a quick boba fix with my friends after lunch. They were advertising one of their new drinks which was the watermelon green tea. I decided to get the watermelon green tea with 75% sugar. I wished the drink was a tad bit sweeter but the drink was still pleasant. The prices are normal prices ($4-5/drink). The place was nice and clean. Definitely would recommend to come here to study. Parking can be a pain from what I see. The parking for the plaza is pretty small but there are a lot of popular places in that plaza. I will definitely go back to try other drinks! read more

It was at the Night Market that I noticed Uncle Tea. Since it wasn't too far from my area I figured I'd go to their establishment in West Covina and try it out. I decided to try the strawberry matcha milk tea after seeing photos of it. I've never had that combination of a drink but I found it to be flavorful. It's sweet with a little bit of a tart to it. I say that because I had like maybe 70% of matcha and 30% of strawberry instead of 50 50 but I'm not complaining too much about it 'cause it was good. And it's always a plus to know that you can adjust the sweetness of your drink. I also got the Uji matcha with cheese milk foam instead of sea salt milk foam. Found it to be tasty and sweet like I expected but the foam was not as creamy as other places I've been to that have the same kind of drink. Uncle Tea is a pretty decent tea and boba shop. When I was there, it seemed this young man was the only one working (I probably came in during their least busy time). He was accommodating with the substitution of a drink and the questions I had. It's a very clean place with good seating, perfect for hangouts. I like the simple but cute cup design, too. Price can be a little better considering you're looking at about $5 on average for a drink. If it's your first time, I recommend you take advantage of the 20% off when you check in. read more

Super cute and clean place to study or catch up with friends! It's located in a busy plaza but there's a lot of parking if you circle around. I went on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy inside, but there were a lot of people grabbing drinks to-go throughout the night. I got the Peach Passion Oolong tea with the crystal boba. Its $0.25 to change it to the oolong base and the crystal boba is $0.70, so after using my card (additional $0.50), my drink was about $6 but it was pretty refreshing and I like the overall vibe of the place. My Hokkaido milk tea tasted like water and sugar. It did not have any milky texture like rich milk tea would have... it was straight up watered down. Brand new, love going to trying new boba. FIRST their cup is pretty legit, it seems like a one time use cup but I think it's reusable but I'm not sure, very durable quality plastic cup. I tried the rose milk tea, I thought it was alright, I felt the rose flavor was a little bit strong but it was a good drink to have.
