My drink was good and not overly sweet. It was a papaya frappe but I didn't really taste papaya. It had a faint coconut taste to it so I'm not sure if coconut water or milk was added. There wasn't any fruits in my drink or pulp fibers. I think their fruit drinks are either from concentrate or syrup flavorings. The way my drink was blended wasn't thorough. I had many ice cubes that were not crushed. When I finished my drink there was at least 5 ice cubes sitting on the bottom of the cup. The lady helping me was nice and made the drink quick. I had a hard time hanging out there because the seating area was small and the music was a bit too loud for me. It wasn't really ideal for studying or group hang out, although it has seating I saw it as more of a grab and go kind of place.

Goodtogo app: great deal, love that they made the drink when I came into the store. Also I really appreciate that it's two different tea flavors than your standard milk tea. Parking: parking lot available and shared with other stores. Hawaii POG with boba: orange juice with other fruit like passion fruit. Thailem Lime mint with boba: bit tart because it's lime instead of lemon, sour and sweet like lemonade. Popcorn chicken (spiciest level): bit salty depending on the chicken piece. Chicken pieces are pretty big compared to other cafes. However, it's not that crispy coating in texture when fried.

As far as the Drinks being super good, the games and the atmosphere is welcoming. I didn't get greeted or spoken to at all until the transaction was done. It would have saved us some time if the person behind the counter would have told us to order from the kiosks and that's the only way because the sign said something along the lines of saving time which seems like an option. Fix the customer service or create a sign that says "Must Order Here" and not make it seem like an empty space without being busy the person can't take the order.

Tried a strawberry banana drink and it was really good! Not too sweet which is my style of drink but still very flavorful. Service was super quick and the cashier was very nice. My go to before enjoying some Thai food next door.

DIGUSTING MOLD IN THEIR DRINKS AND THE SERVICE IS SLOW!I'm pretty understanding when it's just one person working but it took 30 minutes just 2 drinks. No toppings or adjustments just a basic To top it off the drinks weren't even good. Very basic and flavorless. Not impressed given that there's plenty of other boba shops close by that are muc h better. Also, there's mold at the bottom of their cups. Looks like they add their toppings ahead of time and just keep it there. So disgusted. DONT COME HERE.

Found this boba location using the Too Good app and decided to try them out. Great customer service and fantastic drinks. Will be back to try their snacks!

The service is stupid slow here. 11 minutes for a single basic boba drink. Maybe I just came when it was suuuper busy. I came here once about 4 years ago. Service was very slow and the drink was meh at best. This is why I haven't been back. Came this time to see if anything was different. Same slow service, but at least the drink was good. Not better than most places in the area. Only better than Quickly, Gong Cha, LAN Noodle, Jack in the Box, Yoshinoya. So many other better and faster places around the area.

Wanted a boba after dinner so came to try this place out on Friday. First things first it's really small and hot in here. I was sweating by the time I started ordering. There was one worker behind the counter. Seemed like he had a lot to do. No smile or anything when taking our order but he also wasn't rude. I ordered a Thai tea and a taro smoothie. It was alright. Definitely needs a pick me up and some cleaning and air conditioner but drinks were good!

Before visiting my family in Walnut wanted to check out this boba shop since it's on the way there. I don't know what's going on the building says Uncle Tea but my cup says FULI which I believe used to be in Glendale. Anyways I stopped by around 1:30 on a Sunday. This plaza isn't that busy considering they have a lot of restaurants and shops here. There was only one worker helping with ordering and making drinks. Boba shops should have a minimum of 2 employees. Maybe there's one in the back making food orders. But employee was working hard on everyone's order and even greeted everyone. I ordered from too good to go app to see what they would give away. I checked in when worker was done making order from previous guest. Got 2 drinks, I didn't ask what it was but tasted like some iced peach tea with blueberry popping boba. Their cups are super cute with the capybaras, I also like their straws. I'll stop by with my own order next time.

Uncle Tea was one of my favorite tea shops during the pandemic, so I was excited when I returned and saw that they had remodeled their storefront and menu. I had the opportunity to try three of their specialty teas, all of which were good for the simple fact that they weren't overly sweet. I'm usually someone who drinks my boba at 25-50% sweetness, and I was happy with my choices at their regular sweetness. My favorite that I tried was the Thailem, which was super refreshing and probably tastes great with boba! My least favorite would probably be the Coconut Throne because I didn't love the texture of the coconut pudding, and the flavors of the drink were super subtle. I also tried their waffle "Cheese slippers" which is exactly what it sounds like I'm not too keen on cheese, so I liked that it wasn't an overload of cheese inside. The batter was typical for a boba shop waffle, not too sweet and pretty light. All in all I'm happy with the changes that they've done at Uncle Tea and I'll definitely be back to try more.

Uncle Tea is a solid boba joint hidden in the Walnut area. I tend to come here if I end up passing the Amar and Nogales intersections. Prices are fair in today's market and the drinks are pretty tasty. They have a cashier, and a tablet for self service. I usually get one of their milk teas such as the oolong, since it is my favorite. The store itself is pretty spacious with a couple of tables to sit at should you choose to dine in. Great tea selection and the tiramisu foam is bomb on milk teas. Haven't tried any of the crazy sugar bombs on the menu but every time I'm there I see at least one person walk away with the signature frap so must be good! read more

Very cute place! Although a bit small, it's very cozy and nicely decorated. The strawberry matcha milk tea was SO good, as well as the matcha green thai tea. I added boba for both drinks but they forgot to add it to BOTH of them! Unfortunately, I didn't notice until I got home because they were in cup holders so I just assumed there was boba at the bottom of the cups. Their Pink Lady Drink was also not very flavorful, tasted kind of watered down. Kind of disappointed, I wish they paid more attention to the details of my order but the drinks came out fairly quickly so I guess that's nice. Their house fries are well seasoned and were pretty good for the price. Not the best but good. Overall, I would recommend trying it out! read more

I had high hopes for this place- when I first tried it right when they opened I had a Ceylon milk tea and liked it; but, after coming back and trying the House milk tea, Oolong milk tea, Okinawa, and others, I'm left rather "eh." I tried numerous drinks in the hopes I would find one I liked (I really wanted to like these drinks) but I had a few sips and already felt finished with the drink on multiple occasions. They aren't *that* bad, but for the price? I don't think it's worth it. The interior and cups match the quality of other stores popping up, but the drinks and service don't. It's hard to be a new tea store that replaces another one, but for the price of these drinks it's tough to come by. They also have a $10 minimum for cards, otherwise there's a $0.50 charge! read more

This was the closest boba place while on the way somewhere and I just needed a fix. The classic boba milk tea is ok, I've had better. The boba was hard and chewy though. And they charge extra if you want to use a card. It's not my favorite place, but it'll do the trick if you have a boba craving. Otherwise, I'd avoid this place completely. read more

I got their honey lemon green tea. Honestly, I will not be able to tell the difference if I got the same drink from Quickly. This place is very pricey for its drinks. My biggest disappointment is their honey boba. I don't know if this was a bad batch or what, but the boba is not chewy AT ALL and barely sweet. I hate boba's that are soft argggh. Overall very expensive even with the 10% check-in. Not worth it imo. Stars deducted for the price and the soft, non-chewy boba. :/ read more

This is my new favorite go to place for drinks! Their drinks are not overly sweet. I tried the Tiramisu milk tea, Jasmine milk tea, Thai green tea (they are so bomb!!) Tiramisu milk tea: milk tea is semi sweet but most of the sweetness comes from the cream on top. It has a perfectly balance level of sweetness. Jasmine milk tea: sweet but you can still taste the tea, super refreshing! Thai green tea: it sounds weird but the combo is great. I like their drink even though they also use the syrup mix with real fruit. It is located in the plaza with Korean tofu house, Thai restaurant so I can get food and drink all at once. I like their shop setting, very cozy and nice service. read more

This is not based on the tea, this is based on the fact that I pulled up at 5pm on the dot opened the door and the workers stated sorry we're closed. As a customer this is a complete turn off. Haven't tried their drinks but 5pm on the dot ....come on , you could of serviced us. Next time lock your doors if you're that punctual with your closing time. read more

I went here today to get a quick boba fix with my friends after lunch. They were advertising one of their new drinks which was the watermelon green tea. I decided to get the watermelon green tea with 75% sugar. I wished the drink was a tad bit sweeter but the drink was still pleasant. The prices are normal prices ($4-5/drink). The place was nice and clean. Definitely would recommend to come here to study. Parking can be a pain from what I see. The parking for the plaza is pretty small but there are a lot of popular places in that plaza. I will definitely go back to try other drinks! read more

It was at the Night Market that I noticed Uncle Tea. Since it wasn't too far from my area I figured I'd go to their establishment in West Covina and try it out. I decided to try the strawberry matcha milk tea after seeing photos of it. I've never had that combination of a drink but I found it to be flavorful. It's sweet with a little bit of a tart to it. I say that because I had like maybe 70% of matcha and 30% of strawberry instead of 50 50 but I'm not complaining too much about it 'cause it was good. And it's always a plus to know that you can adjust the sweetness of your drink. I also got the Uji matcha with cheese milk foam instead of sea salt milk foam. Found it to be tasty and sweet like I expected but the foam was not as creamy as other places I've been to that have the same kind of drink. Uncle Tea is a pretty decent tea and boba shop. When I was there, it seemed this young man was the only one working (I probably came in during their least busy time). He was accommodating with the substitution of a drink and the questions I had. It's a very clean place with good seating, perfect for hangouts. I like the simple but cute cup design, too. Price can be a little better considering you're looking at about $5 on average for a drink. If it's your first time, I recommend you take advantage of the 20% off when you check in. read more

Super cute and clean place to study or catch up with friends! It's located in a busy plaza but there's a lot of parking if you circle around. I went on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy inside, but there were a lot of people grabbing drinks to-go throughout the night. I got the Peach Passion Oolong tea with the crystal boba. Its $0.25 to change it to the oolong base and the crystal boba is $0.70, so after using my card (additional $0.50), my drink was about $6 but it was pretty refreshing and I like the overall vibe of the place. There are 3 big tables and a few high tables and this place closes decently late (11PM), making it a decent place to study! read more

My Hokkaido milk tea tasted like water and sugar. It did not have any milky texture like rich milk tea would have... it was straight up watered down. It also took quite awhile for my drink to come out. I understand that employees are busy and whatnot, but there were only 2 orders before mine and it seems that they waited for quite awhile as well. I was excited for my drink, totally under the illusion that the time I waited would equate to the quality and taste of my drink. At least the restaurant was really cute! I love the yellow and uncle tea logo. Adorable!! I'd like to come back here and order something else next time, just to see if my review is right. Brand new, love going to trying new boba. FIRST their cup is pretty legit, it seems like a one time use cup but I think it's reusable but I'm not sure, very durable quality plastic cup. I tried the rose milk tea, I thought it was alright, I felt the rose flavor was a little bit strong but it was a good drink to have. My friends and I stayed there for about 4 hours to study...but I'm not really sure if it's a great place to study, it gets really loud at times when the blenders are on and there's a lot of customers. Keep in mines, seats are limited it's not a great place for a big crowd but perfect for like a one on one. read more

First time here & I used the 20% off check in deal. We ordered boba milk tea, strawberry milk matcha tea & the house fries. Everything was great! Food, drinks, the service everything was great! The fries aren't like regular fast food fries the seasoning on them had a bit of a tang to it that we were pleasantly surprised with. It is a bit pricey here, but the cups are pretty large, have a cute design & are reusable. It's a thumbs up from me! I will definitely be coming back! read more

I honestly just gave them an extra star because I think their cups are cute and probably the main reason why I wanted to visit this place. I ordered their strawberry matcha milk tea and at first I thought I liked it but after a while it just tasted bland and just too milky overall. My other two friends got the Hawaii POG tea and the Ovaltine Tiramisu Creama and we were all just underwhelmed. I don't think I will be returning. read more

The teas here are okay, but I would not come back. Customer service is not good. A short girl in glasses gave me the wrong drink and did not apologize to make a new one. Same thing happened with my coworker, she received a wrong drink and a guy worker said she could come back and get a new one, but according to her, the same girl said no. I don't know where this attitude comes from, if I can give 0 stars I would. read more

Met my friend here for a quick boba run and got a thai tea with boba. Atmosphere is cute and simple but they're a little limited on seating. Good place to stop and do homework, they have free wifi! My thai milk tea was a little sweeter than I usually have it at other places but overall nothing to complain about. Ill be back! read more

Small place, but a unique selection of drinks. Although, the drinks I ordered were missing a certain "umph." Opted for the Classic Milk Tea and a Hokkaido Milk Tea with Boba Employees are nice and service was quick. Both drinks were a tad bit watered down. Looking forward to give this place another try. Maybe I just came in a busy day. The cups are very IG worthy though. Note: Located in small plaza. Parking can get difficult during peek hours as multiple restaurants are share the parking lot. read more

Tasty tea. I love how they customize the sugar amount. I got the green tea iced latte and got it with have sugar (as of the recommendation of the staff), and it tasted fantastic. I love this place, but everytime I come I have to wait to order, the baristas are fast even during rushes but the cashiers do not seem to care about whether the customers are waiting or not. Especially when I come in the early afternoons, there's always one cashier, I think her name is Sandy? She always waits until the last minute until she comes out, one time I saw her calling someone in the kitchen, while the other girl, I am guessing the barista, went to go get her to take my order. This customer service is unacceptable and the owner needs to do something about this read more

I'm a huge tea fan - especially matcha. I found this place through my trusted Yelp and when I saw they had a strawberry matcha I knew it was the place for me. I was soooo right! The strawberry matcha was delicious and the serving size was perfect for me (there's only one size but it's big). I loved the custom cups too. I'll be back whenever I'm in the area. read more

I feel backstabbed. I was craving boba and this place caught my eye. With an name like "Uncle Tea" I knew this place was destined to be good, unfortunately after going to this place I was thoroughly displeased. I ordered 4 drinks and it took around 15-20 minutes with no other costumers. The bobba tasted burnt and added a Smokey flavor to my Thai tea and milk tea that I didn't appreciate. My other drinks were good. Just the drinks with the boba left me displeased and unsatisfied. read more

Nice place to study BUT there are only 2 outlets - didn't have any problems studying on a Sunday late afternoon since there weren't too many people doing work. No complaints on wifi. Lots of customers coming in and out and frappes seem to be very popular so caution if you're sensitive to the sound of the blender. My rose milk tea tasted more like chocolate milk with a hint of rose - didn't care much for the chocolate flavor since I really wanted rose, but it wasn't too bad. LOTS of ice in my cup - would order with easy ice next time. Boba had nice chewy consistency. There's a credit card fee if your purchase is under $10. read more

Yelped "boba" because I'm not from this area and this popped up; was a mile away so decided to give it a try. Super clean interior and they have a bathroom, that's a plus considering a lot of other places I've gone to have clocked bathrooms and though it's locked it's still filthy! ANYWAYS back to the drinks. Ordered their mango passion fruit "fruthie" with boba, taro milk tea with boba and strawberry-matcha milk tea. The two milk teas come in a cute plastic cup, which I'm guessing is why their drinks are a little pricey. This is a pretty typical milk tea/boba place. I wanted to try their crema (cheese foam) milk tea, as I'd tried is somewhere else recently and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, their's was waaaay too sweet and I didn't really like it. My bf and I went here to study and it was a super cute and quiet place to work. My bf got a strawberry smoothie (or something like that), which was also just okay. We'd both definitely had better. Like I said, I'd be willing to give this place one more chance, since it's cute, close by, and had good service. I came in today and bought a jasmine green milk tea let me just say it was made of pure water and sugar just horrible. Above that I waited a maybe 8-10 just so my order could be put in . The management at this place is horrendous no WiFi so you have to use cash or Venmo. Do not recommend this place at all ! read more

Was close by to this location stop by order my Taro milk w boba online gave it couple minutes so they can make it. It was gross it did not taste nothing like Taro milk tea and it had some extra ingredients in there that I did not ask for. I stumbled upon this little spot called Uncle Tea, and was instantly drawn in by its cute, cozy vibe. Once I stepped inside, I could really feel the owner's care in every little detail of the decor. Around sunset, sunlight pours through the glass windows, casting colorful reflections across the space-- absolutely beautiful and peaceful, perfect for slowing down and just being in the moment. Their snacks totally stole the show: the Crocs-shaped egg waffles and the little bear-shaped waffles were beyond adorable! The bear one even has ice cream inside--crispy on the outside, cold and creamy on the inside. It's the kind of thing that makes both kids and grownups want to pull out their phones and take a picture first. I love finding places like this--small but thoughtful, sweet, warm, and full of charm. We ordered the iced Spanish latte, the peach black tea, and the peach oolong tea with lychee jelly. The Spanish latte was a 10/10 ..the perfect balance of espresso and sweetness. Both peach drinks were super refreshing and nicely sweetened as well. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the decor inside was fun and cheerful -the whole place has a really happy vibe. First, I'm not a big brown sugar fan. I've tried a few of their drinks, and they tend to get a little too rich and sweet for me after a while, even when I adjust the sweetness level. The location is also a little unusual. There are businesses nearby, but nothing is really within walking distance, so it feels like you have to make a separate trip and specifically drive here. I've also tried their boba a few times, and it's a little too chewy for my preference. I personally like my boba softer. Their drinks do come in pretty large cups, but there's also quite a bit of ice, so I don't necessarily feel like the larger size makes it a particularly good value. The shop itself has always been clean whenever I've visited. Since it seems like most customers are just picking up their drinks and leaving, there isn't too much for me to comment on regarding the atmosphere. The interior has more of a nostalgic, retro-style design. As for the service, I usually order to go, so I haven't had any particularly good or bad experiences to comment on. I did meet a Chinese-speaking staff member once--I'm not sure if she was the owner or store manager--but she was very friendly and took the time to introduce and explain some of their drinks, which I appreciated. Overall, I can see why some people like this place, especially if you enjoy brown sugar drinks and chewier boba. It's just not really my personal preference.
