Ordered delivery and it arrived 40 minutes after ordering. The delivery guy was very nice and called me when he arrived. Food was hot and steaming. I ordered the special dinner for two, which consisted of (2) crab puffs, (2) fried shrimp, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, sizzling rice soup and steamed rice plus fortune cookies. The flavor was decent and there was a good amount of food, but the issue I had was with the Mongolian beef which was mostly scallions and white onions than anything else. Meh...ordered the appetizer combo, hot an sour soup and combo fried rice. First the appetizer did not come with any sauce so it was boring bland fried stuff. 1/5 stars. The hot and sour soup lacked basic hot or sour flavor 1/5 stars. Oh and they didn't give me any soy sauce so no additional flavor there. Last was the fried rice. This is our go to Chinese place. Our original that was closer to our house closed down so we started trying different places and this is the one we both love. I'm a vegetarian and being 100% honest, I sometimes have difficult orders. Most of the time I expect my food to come incorrectly. However, this has NEVER happened here! Everything we've tried here is great and the staff is always friendly when we walk in. We've never actually sat and ate in the restaurant itself, but it always looks very clean. I have no idea why more people don't eat here besides the fact that its not on 4th st. Seriously, if you're looking for good Chinese, try this place! The vegetable chow mein is the best. Oh Uncle Wing, how you disappoint me! I decided to give this place a try just cause I'm not impressed with any of the Chinese restaurants in Marin. So I crossed my fingers,but this is another one for the list! I decided to go with the lunch combo, which included some sort of egg and tofu soup, which really had no flavor at all. For the main dish I settled with the classic Chinese delicacy- kung pao chicken. Cause nothing says authentic Chinese like like chicken in a sweet sauce tossed with canned peanuts! Then of course there was the egg roll served with that wonderful pink Chinese sweet sauce! You know, the kind of pink sweet sauce you see all over Hong Kong! This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Marin. I am addicted to their kung pao chicken. I live nearby but didn't take a chance on the place until a few months ago when a friend told me she goes here at least once a week. That surprised me, but when I ate there I definitely understood why. Their food is very tasty, it's healthy, and it's affordable. Plus the staff is really nice. Roseanne is my favorite. She always remembers my name, and once when she saw that I parked across the street, she actually came to my car to tell me to park in the garage next time because they can validate. Anyway, back to the food. I love their chicken dishes, and I like that they serve brown rice. Some restaurants in the area don't. I give them five stars for great food and great service. read more

However they always seem to care more about getting you out of the way than care about your concerns as a customer. We work hard to pay for his food we deserve a little respect, I've ordered food and it comes to me 1 HOUR and 40 minutes after they specifically tell me 40-50 minutes. This place is great! It is affordable, delicious and in an easy location. They will validate parking so you do not have to look for parking or pay. This is my go to play when I am sick I get the hot and sour soup with pork fried rice. The orange chicken seems to be the classic sweet lightly fried chicken pieces. I am getting the wor wonton soup for the first time and I know it is going to be delicious. It is a real mom and pop place the owners are the servers and they really do a great job. This place replaced Tsing Tao which was pretty good. To give its new incarnation a try, I ordered Schezuan beef, something I've enjoyed at other Chinese restaurants. It was absolutely awful. It's hard to describe, sort of like ground beef coated in a thick, raw dough and then barely deep fried. I couldn't even eat the one bite I tried. The only thing saving Uncle Wing's from a single star is that the wait staff immediately replaced my order with something else, Mandarin Beef, which, if not great, was at least edible. read more

The claypot dish was flavorful (they do not use MSG in their food as noted in the takeout menu). Lunch specials are really fresh with good quality ingredients. I love how the chicken dishes are made with nice quality meat, not stringy or yucky. They offer brown rice for a small up charge. Initially, we loved Uncle Wing's. We would get delivery from them almost every week for several weeks. The food was delicious and for the most part reasonably priced for the area. We had no problem with waiting for our food on busy nights as long as we were told upfront and our food still arrived hot. A few weeks ago will absolutely, positively be the last time we order from them. We placed a fairly large order on a Saturday night so we weren't surprised when we were told it would be a 30-45 min wait. No problem, not unusual. An hour later, no one has arrived. I call and tell the woman who answers that we've been waiting an hour and give her our address in Greenbrae. Without checking anything, she says it's on it's way and offers no other explanation or apology. Another 20 minutes later, still no one arrives, so I call again, ready to cancel our order. Again, the woman just says he's on his way, but this time asks for our number and says she'll call us back after "checking". No apology, no explanation. When she calls back, 10 minutes later, all she says again is that he's on his way. I even pointed out to her that we'd waited 1.5 hours and she hadn't even apologized, but she just repeats that it'll be there soon, like a robot. And, of course, at that exact moment, when I'm about to tell her that we don't even want the food anymore, a delivery person shows up with a COLD box of fried foods that all taste like deep fried fish by this point. I am really disappointed about the service today. We ordered food and asked for the time. They told me the food would be sent to us at 7. But actually, we waited for at least 20 minutes in the cold winter. It was freezing and the temperature was below 0 degree! And there was even wrong order! I ordered two calamari! What I got was one calamari and one fried chicken! THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME! I could understand that you were busy with the service in the restaurant. We love Uncle Wing's steam fish (house specialty). Uncle Wing doesn't offer whole fish with head and bones, but I can eat Uncle Wing's steam fish all day long. It is steamed and presented the authentic Chinese way. I would go back there any time just for the fish alone. Their tofu dish is great also, because most of the other Chinese restaurants have a very thick layer of skin on the tofu, Uncle Wing's tofu dish is thin on the skin, hence not hard to chew and doesn't carry a sour taste like most Chinese restaurants serve. On our way out, I took one of their to go menu, which is a good sign from me as a reviewer. We need more authentic Chinese restaurant like Uncle Wing in Marin County. read more

My wife and I really like this place, and we can't understand why it's not busier! The food is excellent, the decor is nice, and the service is friendly. Last night we had a special -- Thai basil chicken -- and the steamed fish filet with ginger and scallions. Major yum on both. We often get their prawn chow fun because it's so good. They have dim sum also, And on special occasions when we decide to go for the extra calories, we get sesame balls for desert. We recommend it! read more
