Thanks to their housemade syrups (cardamom earlier this spring and this summer rosemary mint is back on the menu) I'm in here all of the time. I have zero willpower. The staff is amazing, kind and they truly live up to their tagline #spreadloveandcoffee Even when they are super busy and the line is out the door, they always bust a move to make sure that the line is moving and everyone is taken care of--you will often see the owners behind the register or doing work around the cafe. Both are super kind. (They are no longer doing the grocery part of their business, but you can still pick up great bagged coffee, treats and cool swag.) This place used to be really nice, I have been going here for years, but it was terrible this weekend. The banana chocolate chunk muffin was rubbery and boring, and the egg muffin sandwich was no better than McDonalds. The drinks were good. read more

This spot was a welcome delight on a trip to the area over the Thanksgiving holiday. I walked here every morning for a morning coffee. Dog-friendly patio out front, a big plus. Their caramel silk and PSL were both great. Cookies, delicious. I tried the pesto sausage bagel one day, which was excellent, and their other baked goods - muffins and croissants were also excellent. Cheated on our sandwiches. They offer a Gouda and Ham croissant, but gave us sausage because they were out of ham. It is cheaper to 'build your own' by $3 a sandwich. They gave people a hard time when asking for refunds. For the difference. Awful. read more

Walking up to the coffeeshop, you'll see bright yellow arrows and markings directing you where to go to order. Their menu is posted outside, but I think it's also on their website. I decided to go with the nitro draft latte. Overall it wasn't bad, but there was just way too much milk in it. The first sip was fine and you can taste the coffee, but afterwards you primarily taste milk. So in that regard, I'd say I've had better. My parents got the cold brew mojito, which I recommend and wish I got instead. Perfect combo of cold brew, a little simple syrup, mint leaves, and enough sparkling water to give you the bubbles but not water down the coffee too much. Service was quick and friendly, and I'd say a nice spot overall to stop at to try their stuff while walking around the town. read more

We were staying in a nearby town, but drove to Saugatuck every day just to come to this coffee shop! The coffee (black) was delicious. We got a blueberry streusel muffin daily which was always great. We enjoyed our smoothies, too, but they tasted different each day (Nana Berry). I'm sure it just depends on the person making it, but they tasted great regardless. I just LOVE uncommon coffee roasters. I have had their coffee before but had never been their shop! I am so excited I got to check it out. They have such a beautiful coffee shop down town Saugatuck. They are so cozy. They have a large menu and have plenty of non-dairy milk options. There is plenty of seating options-both tables for working and comfy chairs for lounging. If you are here during the warmer weather, go out back to their beautiful garden to sip you beverage! There are even massages out there! They also encourage you to bring you pups to the garden :) Here is what I LOVE most about this coffee shop. INCLUSIVITY!! They go above and beyond ensuring that everyone is welcome here. Their website even states that since they opened they have been known as, "the local gay coffee shop." I just also loved how they had local and national news on their bulletin about injustices and things going on in the world. This place has gender neutral bathrooms and everything. I just love how when you walk in, you are immediately greeted with smiling faces and everyone is welcomed as they are with open arms. This is also a super environmentally friendly and sustainable business. Everything they do is ensuring the environment is safe! Overall, I just love this business. I even order their coffee online here in Indy. It makes my soul happy to know that enjoying my coffee helps the environment and helps fuel a safe place for people to go! Top notch coffee and bar drinks in Saugatuck. Loved stopping here for coffee and breakfast and loving my coffee beans to keep the good memories roasting. My Mexican egg sandwich was fine, but the egg bake (Greek that day) was amazing! A great place for the community to meet, and there were lots of students studying and collaborating. They've got a small outdoor area, and a walk up window for those walking the pup. I was sad I wasn't going to be around to try their lunch specials because they also looked amazing. Great coffee and great food. I had their home cut oatmeal and it was the best oatmeal I can remember with almond slivers and dried fruit. My wife had a cheddar scone (we actually split both items) and it was also great. I mean not just "good" but super yummy like you are thinking "how can food be so tasty". First visit, my drink was forgotten about so I had to go up and wait to be noticed to ask about it because the line I was in was looong gone. The drink nitro caramel latte was fantastic! Covid wise, all orders are being taken outside, and they have spots to indicate where customers should stand to practice social distancing. Food wise, many vegan options. Because the place is so small, it was hard to safely social distance with the rest of the customers forming a line, workers were busy and weren't able to fully enforce this - BUT it was super cold and snowy so it's hard to be very picky about it. It wasn't sweet enough for me but this place was kind enough to make it sweeter for me. This drink wasn't for me. The coffee and mojito flavors were an odd mix. It wasn't that it wasn't tasty. I think I made a bad pick. They have tons of bagged coffee as well so you can also take it home to enjoy. This is a busy place and there is long waits for the two bathrooms. What a disappointment! I saw the good reviews so we woke up early to get some coffee before doing some sight seeing. Both the staff member who took our order and the one who gave us our drinks were short to the point of being rude. When I asked for a straw I got severe attitude because apparently they don't do straws for the environment. I'm totally cool with that but... the cups came with plastic lids and the receipt was printed on toxic hormone interrupting paper so.. she really could have chilled on the condescension. My chai tea was watered down and tasted like the cup it came in and my husband's mocha tasted like regular burnt coffee with cocoa powder in it. read more
