This was our first time eating at Citrone and it did not disappoint! This was our second date night after having our baby so we are intentional about where we go and what we order. The food and service were excellent! We ordered the garlic bread (10/10), the beef carpaccio (100/10- WOW). My husband ordered the burger and I ordered the orecchiette. The pasta was perfection- so light and flavorful! Our server Kaylie was attentive, friendly and so cheerful. We appreciate when someone is genuinely kind and cares to ensure needs are being met. We are definitely going back!

Had a great dinner at Citrone. This is a very modern Italian restaurant with a cool brass bar. Lots of seating and a small patio with seating. SERVICE: We had great service from the hostess to our server. Very attentive and friendly. We got our drinks, appetizers & food at the right time. FOOD: Everything we had tasted great! From the Tuna Tartar to the Pasta to the dessert....Yummerz!! (Pictures below, including when we sat on the patio one evening) Great Italian chophouse in downtown Redlands. We'll be coming back for more...

I recently had dinner at Citrone Italian Chophouse for the first time and it was an absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. Every course was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The garlic bread, salad, and Grandma's meatballs were a great start. For the entrée, I chose the flat iron steak. It was honestly 10/10 perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and paired wonderfully with the roasted potatoes, asparagus, and chimichurri. Easily one of the best steaks I've had at a restaurant. To finish, dessert was a warm apple tart with ice cream on top, and it was absolutely divine. The combination of the warm pastry and cold ice cream was the perfect ending to the meal. The service, atmosphere, and food were all flawless for even a busy Thursday evening. Food was high quality. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an upscale Italian dining experience in Redlands.

The Carpaccio was delicious. I would recommend the pizza as well. The customer service was great.

Made reservations to celebrate Friendsgiving with a couple girlfriends and overall, we had a really good time. Our server was really sweet and took really good care of us. We got a few drinks, and they were delicious. We got the house made focaccia, a Caesar salad, the prime New York strip, tonnarelli cacio e pepe, corn agnolotti, seasonal mushrooms, and brussel sprouts. For dessert we got a caffe affogato, crème brûlée, and the tiramisu. The stand outs were the prime New York strip, it was cooked to perfection and pre-sliced which made it easier to share family style with my friends. The corn agnolotti was something we weren't familiar with but the best. It also came highly recommended from our server. It was a corn ravioli in a truffle sauce, the flavors mended so well together and was so rich and flavorful. We couldn't stop raving about it. The mushrooms were also a favorite. The desserts were good as they are standard but the crème brûlée stood out the most. Good food, good vibes, good staff, overall a nice place to celebrate with either friends or loved ones. I'm still thinking about the corn agnolotti.

For our first year wedding anniversary we want a place with a nice romantic vibe to it, and my husband came across this restaurant. Let me tell you they did not fail us at all! The food was beyond amazing & the atmosphere was perfect! The live music from the patio was wonderful. We left extremely happy & will definitely be going back it has made it to the list of our top 5 date night restaurants! You won't regret it! Also our waitress Kim was wonderful, everything she recommended we tried & fell in love. Thank you

Had a dinner res via Resy for 6 at 5:45. Showed up at 5:30 & were seated right away. Everyone was super friendly. Didn't have any drinks - had the bruschetta & focaccia, both good. I tried their Salmon and side of Brussels. Everything tasted great! Service was quick & kind. The only thing I didn't like were the guests sitting at the bar and screaming during a baseball game - it was really annoying and happened multiple times throughout dinner. I didn't realize Citrone was that kind of establishment but just something to consider.

    A delicious meal!

My friends and I have visited Citrone twice. Both times we were in town for a Children's Lit Festival at the University. The food is delicious the ambiance on point and this last visit we had an amazing server named Kim. She was personable, attentive, professional and made us feel welcome and cared for. The restaurant is lucky to have her on their staff. The three of us ordered pasta dishes, requested the foccacia (don't pass on it) and enjoyed the lemon tart from the "Specials" menu as well as the scrumptious Olive Oil cake recommended By Kim. If you find yourself in Redlands definitely think about dining at Citrone

Amazing!!! Please go & try this location & I highly, HIGHLY recommend the tomahawk steak honestly! Everything was immaculate! It was worth every penny honestly! Food, outstanding! Staff & service, the best ever (including the bartender)! Ambiance, clean & well lit! Honestly. I can go on and on about this place but it really is a dining experience you need to try for yourself.

Went here to celebrate my belated birthday with some girlfriends. I've always seen this place and don't live far from it, but it was my first time. The waitress was so sweet. She brought a delicious tiramisu dessert out. Had a very nice vibe for a nice dinner. Would go back again.

I was extremely underwhelmed with this place. I would have given it a lower score but the service and dessert were good. the food was all very expensive and the portions were small. the spaghetti was good but nothing special, the steak was overcooked and the pizza was recommended to us however we only ate one piece out of the whole pie because it wasn't good. I really wanted to like this place since redlands doesn't have very many high end restaurants but given the price versus quality/taste, i wouldn't go back. our serve was great though

Made a 8:15pm reservation on a Saturday night. Not too busy. Sat in a comfy booth inside. Love how bright and homey feeling it is in this restaurant. A window into the kitchen allows guests to observe pizza making while enjoying their experience at the restaurant. Espresso martini was fantastic. Garlic bread is well portioned, crispy, and flavorful. Ceasar is decent! Subtle flavored with anchovies as a garnish. Pasta is served al dente and they are true to their word. I may prefer a slightly longer cook time to soften them just a touch more but I do appreciate the non soggy pasta. Margarita was also decent! Very thin crust with a neutral flavor that almost makes it feel light. We were celebrating a birthday, and our amazing server gifted us with their seasonal dessert. Raspberry sorbet was light and tart. Would love to return soon to try a steak

Citrone Italian Chophouse is a beautiful restaurant that occupies the former Olive & Citrus building in Downtown Redlands. From its former location on Orange St, Citrone made a great move to this space so I was excited to make reservations and give Citrone a try. My party and I arrived half an hour early for reservations. While my reservation was for the outdoor patio, I did let the host know we're flexible with sitting inside - whichever section was ready first. However, we still waited 45 minutes to be seated. When the hostess approached our party, she said she would seat us in the private dining room. We were shown to an area between the kitchen and the restrooms where other Asians were seated. How odd. There was a booth in front of the bar that was empty for at least 10 minutes but wasn't given to us. It was given to a Caucasian couple who arrived after we did but seated before we were. As we got seated, we noticed another Asian family that was seated in the "private dining area" - they were also waiting to be seated (same reservation time as ours) earlier that evening. Weird to see that there was separation of groups... Our server, Mary, was a sweet young lady. She was kind when taking our order but had to flag her down a couple times to refill my water - that should clue you in to how long we had to wait. The service was super SLOW! We were at the restaurant for almost 3 hours. The pace of the food coming out was off and took longer than most restaurants. I don't know if they had purposefully made the private dining guests wait longer than other patrons... sus. As far as the food, we ordered the following: * Bacon Brussel Sprouts - This was good and we shared this side as an appetizer. It would be best if it were roasted but I'm glad we had this to hold us over since the rest of the food came at a snail's pace. * Corn Agnolotti - The flavor had a natural sweetness from the corn and the pasta was cooked al dente. Flavor-wise, it was lacking something else on top of the truffle butter sauce. I think the sweetness from the corn made it harder to finish the dish. The presentation could be better, too. * Tartufata - This had the perfect pizza crust. Light and slightly floppy. The wild mushrooms with truffle oil, pecorino, and mozzarella cheese were a good combination. * Tagliatelle alla Bolognese - This was disappointing. While the tagliatelle was homemade, it was also overcooked, which made the pasta less appetizing. It is supposed to have wagyu beef, veal and pork in its sauce but seemed nonexistent. The whole dish just did not taste good. I don't mind paying for quality food but - let's just say, Citrone wasn't worth it. We left underwhelmed. The food wasn't special, the service was slow, the price doesn't justify the food, and the experience was less than desirable. At least I know why I was never drawn to Citrone and why I cannot recommend them. It's such a shame.

I had to ask the waiter about it, since it was so hot inside. On top of that, ice water wasn't served but room temp water. Two, the actual pizza was very oily. We ordered the pizza with Italian sausage and peppers, and it was a good size for two people, but when I went to fold the slice, practically half the cheese and toppings slid off. It was goopy, salty, and dripping with oil. Pizza should not be that oily. Third, our waiter asked if we wanted chili peppers on the side, and we appreciated that, but he forgot to bring them. I am not giving one star because the waiter was actually very friendly in the beginning and gave recommendations. Overall, sad to say but I wouldn't return.

Unfortunately, if it's a rainy weekend, this place will be closed because because all of the seating is pretty much outside. But when it's nice outside, and in SoCal, it's usually nice outside, this place is wonderful. I was really happy watching all the butterflies flitting about. Service is also really nice. Just go up to the bar and put in your order, they'll get to it asap. There's water around for you to grab if you're thirsty. But if you want more drinks, just go back up to the bar. Def made me feel welcome to come back again. It was something not in anyone's control, and she knew that and understood it, and was really amazing. The minus star I give is honestly because the wine is a bit meh (I got a bottle of the sparkling wine). One, it's just not the best taste wise even when you add some orange juice, but the biggest thing is it's always warm when they hand it to you. I would raise it this star if they just served it actually cold - doesn't need to be the best wine, just cold would be nice. I might bring some ice in a pack with me next time actually lol. If it was cold, I think it would be way better. I haven't tried the pizza place here, but it's on my list for the next time I come up here. Overall, loved the ambiance and service. And that will always make me come back.

I look back nostalgically at those meals, and we occasionally look for a fondue restaurant around the time of our anniversary on December 28th. We've tried the Melting Pot and Rok N Fondue in the past with some success. Being in Redlands on the 27th, we made reservations for Rok N Fondue. I was worried as their Open Table link was not working, but I left a reservation request on their phone and they were quick to text back a confirmation. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted and taken to our table. We ordered their Rok N Cheddar cheese fondue to start. It was served with cubbed bread, tortilla chips, granny smith apples, carrot, celery, and cauliflower. The cheese consistency did not seem to ever properly coalesce. We did a lot of twisting a tearing of cheese to get the provided dippers covered and out of the mix. The taste was good, but the celery and cheese was not a good mix. I ordered the chicken breast, and Robin tried the Bourbon Street - Cajun seasoned petite filet, chicken, shrimp, and andouille sausage. The fondue entrees come with potatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli. The chicken was okay especially using their provided dipping sauces - Chimichurri, Teriyaki BBQ Sauce, and Sweet Chili Wasabi. The vegetables cooked up well and were tasty. Other than the precooked andouille sausage, there did not seem to be noticeable Cajun seasoning with the Bourbon Street entree. Overall a good meal, but not great. The service was attentive and friendly and the building itself is beautiful. They provided us a tasty New York Cheese Cake for our anniversary. It was a nice overall experience.

The ambiance is warm and romantic, making it a great spot for a date night. The staff is friendly and attentive, which adds to the overall experience. The only downside is the wait time. It can take a while to get seated and for the food to come out, so patience is definitely needed. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. Overall, we enjoy our experience here and would definitely recommend it. Solid 4 stars.
