This is a struggle to rate this place as average, simply because while the types of crepe offerings were really good - they offer savory and sweet crepes - the actual crepe was basically a pancake. It didn't help that their restroom wasn't attended to (soap, TP, and a lock on the door should be essentials). For all the potential this place has, the execution is less than desirable. I have yet to try the crêpes, so this just covers the burgers. The burgers are big. 1/2 point to be exact. Add toppings and you're looking at a large meal, especially for the price. The fries come with the meal, and they're average, but totally satisfactory (how do you screw up fries?). Service is excellent. We were given a 20% discount for being first time customers there. The atmosphere is great as well. Good lighting and neat decor. Businesses in this location haven't done super well in the past, so I hope this one does well. Edited 8/4/14: I went back for the crêpes, and they are good. they are decently sized and are not overstuffed. I sampled a s'mores themed crêpe and a classic strawberry and nutella crêpe. Inconsistent & terrible quality food. The fries are a frozen product that come with some sort of spice on top. But, the kicker is, they have both Heinz and Hunt's ketchup bottles on the tables, however, I watched them fill both kinds of bottles with a third, knock-off brand of ketchup. Serious, spend the extra 10-cents and give people Heinz. Not to mention that for health code, you should not be refilling bottles that are touched by customers, especially if you aren't going to wash them. GROSS! The burger is bad meat. Makes McDonald's hamburger seem like sirloin. Never cooked the same, no matter how you order it and just like their other restaurants, they only serve turkey bacon and the menu is a mess as you can't get some ingredients on the create-your-own burger. I ordered a Florentine. It has eggs, Feta cheese, tomato, and pesto. What I got was a egg, ham, and cheese. We were the only ones in the restaurant. We ordered 2 crepes. Their were 3 employees and still the order was totally wrong. I must say it was delicious but not what I ordered and I did not want ham. The employees did not wear masks. The floors were dirty and sticky. In general the place was not very clean at all. Their was no distancing between employees. There was no hand sanitizer anywhere. The faucet in the bathroom did not work properly and sprayed everywhere. The bathroom floor had a very sticky texture to it and was in basic disarray and nasty. The soap dispenser was absolutely disgusting. We opted not to even use soap. The employees were friendly and kind but literally have no idea of what it takes to keep clean restaurant or keep things cleaned in any fashion. Not to mention that were in a time. This restaurant had too cute of an ambiance to not come in and try it. The chalkboard paint on the walls let's people write or draw whatever they want, creating a whimsical collage. The menu itself is fairly simple- which I liked. I feel like some creperies get caught up in complex combinations, but underground avoided this trap. I didn't try the burgers, but got the chicken pesto crepe. The crepe oozed a generous amount of delicious pesto and didn't skimp out on grilled chicken either. I'm craving it now just thinking about it! I indulged in the s'mores amore crepe for dessert and found it quite sweet. The chocolate and marshmallow together could have been balanced out with more graham cracker. A person with a hard core sweet tooth would have loved the sugary crepe (as I did!), but I would have liked more of the crunchy graham cracker. With such a sweet flavor, I split the crepe and would not have been able to finish it myself. The positives: friendly staff, food delivered quickly, and clean environment. Unfortunately the negatives really ruin the whole experience. I ordered a burger, and the patty itself was almost raw in spots. That's a very bad sign. Either the burger was frozen or the line cook they have is horrible. I even made sure to ask for well-done. The fries are pretty much processed, frozen fries, even if they are fried right there. I didn't get any sort of pickle spear that these burgers are supposed to come with. I asked for lettuce, but didn't get even one shred of it. The grilled onions (they call them sauted onions) were really just raw onions thrown on a grill for a few seconds to burn the edges but not really cook them. And the tomatoes were HUGE slices. That might sound good, but when they're an inch thick they ruin a burger. What's wrong with this place? Is this location cursed? Baja Fresh here was fantastic, but the owners closed shop. Then Nathan's moved in and it was horrible. Sure enough, the shop closed. Now this place, and it's also bad. I foresee it closing down soon as well. read more

Burgers being my favorite food in the grand ole' US of A I could tell you that I was very excited to hear about this type of restaurant coming to town. I stopped by during the gap I have between work and classes. This ended up being a mistake. Service was awful, I felt like I was inconveniencing them. When I finally received my burger I was filled with disappointment. Fries were cold and hard, they didn't even seem like they were made and placed under a heat lamp, they seemed like they were made and just set out with no timed throw away/rotation system. On to the burger, burger initially looked fantastic, but my first bite showed me that the meat was overcooked, and dry, the bacon was cold in the same manner as the fries (just left out with no rotation system). Veggies were good thankfully but the lack of flavor in the burger distorted the blend. As you can see I was extremely disappointed in what seemed like a golden opportunity. I will most likely give this place one more try and hope for the best, but if not, back to five guys I go. read more

Dined at this restaurant after a Penn State home game, I was not impressed. There was used napkins and food on the floor. The garbage can had ketchup and other food particles running down the front of it, looked as though no one took the time to periodically clean. I had the chicken and waffles which sounded good but was not. The chicken was overcooked and heavily seasoned. All you tasted was the seasoning and not chicken. The waffle was dense and dry. It was overcooked to the point you could see the black burnt areas on one side and the other side was pretty dark as well. The fries were undercooked and heavily seasoned as well.
