Best boba in the area and yummy hotpot. However in the past two months the staff seems overwhelmed and customer service has been non-existent. We've tried to eat dinner here three times since and even used the yelp waitlist. All three times we never got seated after waiting 30+ minutes to be acknowledged. We also noticed several seated tables during that time waiting for the bill, waiting for the menu etc for 30 minutes. Please improve communication and staff management because I want to be able to eat here again! read more

I usually come here when I crave Uniboil but this past week not sure if I am going to come back. I was eating my hot pot and thought I picked up a piece of cabbage. Turns out when I tried to eat it.... It was a big piece of plastic... So I got the attention of a waiter and said there's plastic in my hot pot and he tells me basically it's common to find it since they take it off of the imitation crab legs. What does that mean?? Other people have been eating plastic? Plastic isn't great under heat... Since it releases toxins. So having it boiling... In my hot pot and finding out other people might have had this issue... I don't think I want to return. Plastic is not good. Mainly wanted to point out so they know that's serious if one of their customers were to ingest this. I attached a pic. Fun hot pot place that shares a storefront with a boba restaurant. The service was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was going as planned. We purchased two hot pots and loved the display. Both dishes were tasty and cooked quickly on the sterno cans. Affordable with lots of options. We had pig feet soup it's delicious but, I recommend getting another type of broth. The reason why is because the broth it comes with will numb your mouth and it has a weird flavor. My friend told me about this place, and I wasn't disappointed. I usually to go to Monterey Park for this type of hot pot, and now I no longer need to drive 2 hours! They offer both spicy and non spicy soup base, which i am grateful for since i do not eat spicy. I had pork vermicelli on tomato soup base. It tasted perfect and the pricing was reasonable. I love this place. I could eat here every day. The flavor is amazing. I have had their seafood Tom Yum and their Korean Army Stew. Both were mind blowing and I dream about going back. The only reason I am not giving them 5-stars is because they did not advise in advance that they only take 2 cards maximum total for payment. This left me in a very awkward situation and paying for 2 people's meals that I did not intend to so my $30.00 dinner became a $90.00 dinner with me footing the bill for a couple of work colleagues I do not know well. Apparently I walked in the wrong door and they told me to walk in through the boba shop next door which apparently is connected to the restaurant. It took awhile before anyone asked how many people in my party. I had to walk up the boba cashier to ask if I was in the right area. They took our order and my husbands food came out way before mine to the point of him being almost finished. I asked for a taro boba to go and she came back with it in a mason jar. I had gotten back from Hawaii and had been CRAVING a taro shake or any type of ube anything! As I was searching all of sb this place popped up. I told some friends I wanted to give it a try cause I had always been intrigued by the whole "hot pot" thing. So one day we decided to go. None of us ever had been there before so when we sat no one came over to explain the menu or anything for a good 20 mins. As we tried navigating the menu confused we finally called over the server. Asked some questions and for some recommendations we were ready to order. They let us try the soup bases which was really helpful because the one I thought I would like I ended up hating. I had the beef hot pot and added ramen to mine. It was okay, still wasn't the biggest fan of the broth. My favorite part was the taro shake! The reason this review gets 3 stars ;) my other friend got the curry one and she didn't really like hers much. My other friend got the Szechuan Peppercorn Chili Pig's Feet and said it was okay. The food was absolutely delicious, but the service we received was awful. We arrived during a busy time and immediately put our name down, and after over 30 minutes of waiting we realized we were the only party still waiting to be seated despite not being the last to arrive and the hostesses clearly watching us and knowing we were there. My partner went up to ask how much longer we should expect to wait, and the hostesses laughed to one another before finding a waiter to seat us. They continued to laugh and stare at us as we entered the dining room, and that was when we realized we were the only Hispanic patrons in the establishment. After reading through other Yelp reviews, I realized this wasn't an isolated incident. Our waiter seemed apologetic and even embarrassed after realizing what was going on, and was pretty sweet and attentive to us going forward, but we still cannot excuse the blatant racism we experienced here. read more
