My husband and I are relocating to Fort Collins and flew in yesterday to scout out places to live. Our first stop was Union for lunch and we were so pleased! The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the staff were very nice. But a special shout-out to our waitress Emma. Emma made us feel so welcome! She was knowledgeable about the menu and did not steer us wrong with her recommendations. The green chili was amazing as was the crispy cauliflower. We ordered the brisket sandwich to share, but I was too full from the apps that my husband had to eat it all. It was also delicious. Emma was very friendly and answered all of our questions about the area and Fort Collins. We are definitely planning to return to Union and making it one of our regular stops and hope Emma can be our server! read more

Really liked the look of this place and in looking at the menu earlier thought it would be fun to stop in for a dessert and drink. The outdoor space is gorgeous and very cozy. We tried a gluten free chocolate torte and quite frankly were left a little disappointed It was bland and crumbly. I also had a couple cocktails and they were just ok. The staff was friendly and they place is neat. Hoping we just happened to have a bad night and its not reflective of the place as a whole. I'd give them a try for a full meal for sure. read more

Fun lunch spot but a bit pricey. The buck town sandwich was delicious, I substituted the string fries for sweet potato fries. Union burger was good. The monte cristo was not the best, a bit too much batter. If you get the Monte Cristo it's very filling and heavy, no need to order a side with it unless you split it. Went to Union with my mom and stepdad this morning for the first time. When I walked in I knew that this was going to be a great place, really comfort centered. Everything from the decor and the flooring and walls and even the music was excellent, I could swear I heard James Taylor a couple of times. But the food is just as excellent. My mom and I both ordered a Monte Cristo, this one was deep fried and topped with powdered sugar and had apricot jam on the side. I really dig this place . If your going for the floats or unique drinks this spot is for you! The creativity and uniqueness is one of a kind. I tried the ruby white sangria and it was delicious! However, the food was subpar. I had the Union burger and the waitress explained it as like a in and out burger so i had high expectations but it wasn't anything special. It tasted like a typical hamburger. Yes yes yes! We had a nice little staycation in FOCO and were looking for a spot with a nice view that wouldn't have an insane waitlist...in come Union. The wait was nonexistent on a Sunday morning around 10 am. The wait staff were friendly and prompt getting this seated right away. The blood bar was a pleasant surprise as you get a free one with an entree! Now, I haven't had a monte cristo in a minute but evidently I was just waiting for this one to come into my life. So so good! Lots of fried foods but hey this is kinda Midwest so ya get what ya get. For those comparing this to the East/West Coast...just stop. You're in a landlocked state that's finding a way to please your Thirty-thousandaire sensibilities & this place gets it done with a midwestern style. An awesome happy hour in downtown Fort Collins! The outside seating is some of the best in town. They have a great happy hour menu, Mon-Friday from 3-6p. We arrived at 5pm and there was plenty of outdoor seating. We ordered the happy hour apps (pretzels and sweet potato fries) but the menu is extensive. The mixed drinks were awesome and they have a huge selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non. The service was also great! A fun vibe for the summer! read more

It was chilly when we went, so we couldn't enjoy the patio outside - but looking forward to it come summer. A really great diverse drinks menu, and very creative! We enjoyed our drinks with great enthusiam and would definitely go back just to sit at the bar. The food was good, but not great; ya know? I ordered a mediterranean style salad with a falafel patty. The salad used iceberg lettuce, would have preferred something heartier like kale or arugula. And the falafel patty was bordering on burnt instead of crisp. Otherwise, my spouse really enjoyed his cubano. The Mac and cheese was delicious and gooey. Multitude and complexity of flavors. I ordered the Monte Cristo. I love a good Monte Cristo, but I was disappointed. The sandwich came out soaked in grease. The batter was falling off and looked transparent. The ham however had a good taste, and the blackberry jam that accompanied the sandwich added more flavor. Otherwise the sandwich was soggy and bland. I decided to give dessert a try. I ordered the Red Velvet cake, again disappointing. There was more cream cheese frosting than cake, the cake was dry and condensed. It should have been moist and fluffy. The thick fondant type frosting on top did not help. It looked pretty. I could have gone to Walmart and bought a slice of cake that would have tasted better. On the other hand our waitress's name was Molly. She was great! Friendly and attentive. All I can say is I tried this restaurant. Over priced for mediocre food, at best. Probably won't return here, unless we return just for cocktails and starters. read more

10:30a brunch on Wednesday - tried Union for the first time and was absolutely not disappointed! I started by ordering an off-menu drink (that was similar to another drink on the menu but recommended by our server based on some questions I asked and preferences I shared! She nailed it - the Jenny Lynn, so good!). My friend and I both got breakfast burritos and we each ate the whole thing. Now don't let that fool you - they were large! We took our time while we visited and, apparently, we were hungry! I also ordered a cookies n cream milkshake and that was so, so good. Perfect thickness which is key in a shake, and a huge serving! The decor is beautiful and modern, light and airy. I can't wait to visit again during the summer when the patio is open. read more

We arrived towards the end of the dinner shift at 7:30 on a Wednesday. Hungry and tired after a long day of biking, we were seated fairly quickly by a wonderful hostess. They were fairly busy for later dinner mid week. We ordered pretzel bites and a club sandwich. The bites were good and arrives very quickly, ester than Applebees or standard diner fare. But our sandwich took forever. Our waiter was very attentive to some other tables nearby, while never checking in on us. We had to eventually ask him to check on the sandwich- and surprise it was ready already! The fries and sandwich were good, with toasted bread, crunchy fires, and quality ingredients. Nothing as good as say the Mad Cow Saloon in Greeley though. We were disappointed with he service in the end, and the food was not strong enough for us to want to come back after that. read more

A few months ago I took my mother and two adult sons here for dinner, the customer service was fine. The restaurant was pretty empty and we just thought it was mid week earlier dinner hour. We were wrong the food was terrible, my son who had an edible which usually makes everything taste good didn't finish his food. Thinking it was just a bad night in the kitchen and always giving a second chance we came back with my husband and the food was still terrible and the two staff members that were in our area spent more time flirting with each other then helping customers. The only worker that seemed remotely helpful and aware of customers was the older lady delivering food orders. Both times the Menu had been updated in the restaurant but not online, so many of the items online weren't available anymore. We had to ask our server both times about soda options because the menu had very little information. The Monti Cristo has one slice of deli ham on it both times that it was ordered and it came with marmalade and not the jam mentioned on the menu. The chicken tenders were so dry that you needed a knife to cut through them. The salads came in bowls that were so small you couldn't mix it up to get some of the dressing to the bottom of the bowl. Disappointing as the photos and online menus made it look like a fun soda fountain place to try. read more

We've been here so many times but it never occurred to us to review. We absolutely love this spot - we are a young family with a toddler. The patio is so fun for our family. The decor is modern and cool, there's a variety of seating options, and the atmosphere is just pleasant. The food is also excellent. The shoestring fries are a fantastic addition to any meal. The spicy chicken strips are actually delightfully spicy - it's a dry rub that they use and it's so good. They have options for GF, vegan and vegetarian. The vegetarian yellow curry is so creamy but still tastes healthy. I'm also pretty obsessed with their turkey club, it reminds me of the diners I frequented as a kid on the East Coast. I'm so glad they added it to their regular menu (used to be a special). The alcoholic drinks are clever and excellent. The bar is clearly well trained - the drinks are always consistent. They also have new ones pretty often. I'm ashamed to admit I've never tried anything from their soda fountain. I always say I'm going to but I get so full on yummy food. The service is also consistently great. The servers are friendly, the manager is really nice. We had a small issue once - a miscommunication really - and they went above and beyond to make it right. We're delighted with this place and we'll definitely be regulars on the patio this summer. Yum! read more

Don't let the term "soda fountain" fool you - this is a classy establishment! For some reason, I imagined this was a modern version of my favorite childhood restaurant, The Ground Round. Stopped in for dinner I will start by saying the cauliflower was really good ! My favorite thing I tried was the cauliflower. I ordered the Cobb salad and it was ok I wish the chicken wouldn't have been so cold that wasn't very pleasant at all the salad was just basic wouldn't get that again also my partner ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the chicken is tooo thick! I wouldn't recommend unless that was just an oversized chicken and she also mentioned the flavor wasn't that great either but the fries were really good ! I want to come back and try brunch hopefully I would enjoy that more I'll be back for an update once I do. The place isn't horrible I personally wouldn't recommend those entres I think I need to try something else.
