$10 wings! UNION social has their Social Hour everyday with different specials! Wednesday is $10 for a pound of wings and $19.95 pitchers of beer! These wings were Buffalo butter flavored with gorgonzola dipping sauce. Really good wings.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon after lunch hours and the place is empty. We were told the soup of the day was "cream of mushroom" and it was not... We were expecting a vegetarian soup but it had meat in it. The avocado dip was brown in colour when it arrived. It looked like it was made a long time ago and has been sitting out for a long time. The Almond Crusted Chicken Tenders was OK. The chicken was very thin so it was a bit dry. They were nice that they removed the soup from the bill. But overall.... It was very disappointing.

Patio party was going on when we came here for dinner. I ordered blacked salmon and it's delicious. A ciroc French vodka drink was served by shot glass as part of the promotion with beers (3 flavours) and finger foods. The music is too loud, we barely can't hear each other, maybe because there is a party. I don't know the noise during regular days. Nice patio set up. I like it that there is a fire place in the middle with blankets. Service is OK. The crowds is mostly young people. Paid parking on the street. It's free after 10pm.

I now work in the area so have had the opportunity to visit this location a couple of times. I am consistently happy with my dining experience here. Service is good, prices are not astronomical, and food is quite good. I love the almond crusted chicken fingers. They're delicious! A good place to go with groups as the menu has something for every palette and the location is spacious so a lot of tables to sit at. Good for: lunch, dinner, group meals

I've been to Union Social pre covid and really liked the restaurant atmosphere and food. Decided to order take out and overall the food was good. Unfortunately take out fries aren't the best, but that's not the restaurants fault. I've tried their fries in the restaurant and they're very good. The burger this time around was a little disappointing. It lacked a lot of flavour and was over cooked. It wasn't the worst thing ever but definitely not on my top list of burgers. We really enjoyed the tacos and chicken tenders, absolutely no complaints there. In terms of takeout packaging, everything was packaged well (cardboard). All the sauces came in separate containers as shown in the pictures. And I'm glad that even though it was takeout the food was presented well. I can't wait for restaurants to open up again because I loved going to this restaurant for dine in!

Our manager chose this location for our staff Christmas dinner this year. It was not very busy when we got there and the ambiance was very inviting and pleasant. I ordered the Smokehouse Deluxe Beef Burger which is served with fries. I enjoyed my food even though the meat was a little more charred than it should have been. Our waitress was great and gave our group exceptional service. I think this is one of the best premium casual dining and socializing venues in town.

I love the rooftop open patio setting of the location. There was ample space so our group was able to properly social distance from other groups. The menu items for food and drinks are also all exciting and came out looking good in their presentations. Our servers were nice in their accommodation and in our requests for our pictures to be taken. What pulls me back from an overall positive recommendation of the place was the prices of their menu items. It is a little higher than what people may be comfortable to spend on a regular basis in hanging out or chilling with friends. Another thing that did not sit well with me was the time you have to wait for a table. It was understandable that a group of 5 would have to wait for a bigger seating table to be available. What was inconvenient was someone from our group needed to regularly come back and inquire if it is ready. It was made the more harder because there was no wait area (due to Covid restrictions for indoor spacea) and there was bright, hot sun directed towards the food place during the time. This would have been better fixed if they can take customer numbers and call or text them once the table is ready. This extra service accommodation, being done by other establishments, would allow an overall positive experience for customer groups to conveniently wait in a more confortable spot.

A cool chic place to eat and drink after a day of work. The demographic of this place is definitely white collared young professionals, and the staff are there to match. Our waiter was the sweetest and was super enthusiastic that night. He suggested dishes with great vigor and made light conversation--it was an all-round great time! I ordered the chicken panang noodle bowl, which is quite lovely. It was everything I expected in the dish and was quite a large portion. I will say it's nothing revolutionary, but it got the job done. At the end of the day, is the food worth the price tag? Probably not. But the general ambience and vibe of the place is nice to relax after a day of work and to drink the night away!

[Roasted Vegetable Firecrackers] $9.48 - great for sharing :D

This place was getting pretty full when we arrived. Luckily, I had made reservations in advance as I like knowing that I have a table at a popular restaurant. The staff were extremely accommodating even though I originally only reserved for 3 people, informed them it would actually only be 2 upon arrival, and then it actually ended up being 4 people. They honestly must have believed that we were the most disorganized group to ever grace their establishment but it was honestly just due to a lack of communication between me and my friends haha Our waiter was extremely informative and friendly throughout our whole meal. When asked about their Killer Chicken Sandwich, he hyped it up a lot! To the point where my friend had extremely high expectations going into the sandwich that were not met, even though he did say it was delicious. Perhaps it needn't be hyped up as much as it was but that's just a personal opinion! I honestly regretted not ordering it upon seeing the sandwich get placed in front of my friend.... Anyways, onto the food I did feast on ~ [Crispy Buffalo Chicken Tacos] $9.98 - this dish comes with two tacos that were plenty filling. The tacos had deep fried chicken pieces tossed in buffalo sauce, aged cheddar, jalapeno-monterey jack, their very own salsa, gorgonzola flavored ranch, lettuce and fresh lime! These were delicious but definitely avoid this if you can't handle spicy foods. I would definitely get this again despite how messy my eating ending up being due to my inexperience with eating soft tacos haha [Roasted Vegetable Firecrackers] $9.48 - mmmm, we ended up ordering this to share between the four of us who were eating together! I had read some reviews that recommended firecrackers from this place so we opted for the vegetarian ones to try. The vegetarian ones are packed full of sweet peppers, onions, spinach, cremini mushrooms, cream cheese, feta, goat cheese and sweet chilli sauce! These were extremely heavy so given that there were only four pieces, one per person was plenty so keep that in mind if you're ordering it to share :D [Latte] $4 - no pictures of it but goodness gracious, this is one of few cups of coffee I've had that wasn't bitter in the least bit! It was delicious without sugar, so much so, that I would have gladly had 8 more cups if they were free. I definitely needed a caffeine boost because the film we were seeing after dinner began at a much later time than I'm used to being out so I highly recommend ordering this too! Highly recommend this place if you're in the area and want some good food before a movie or just in general :D

So my friends and I decided to come here to hang out, grab a bite and catch the games. The restaurant was kind enough to accommodate a party of 8 for a Saturday given we reserved on a Friday afternoon. So that's a plus. The venue used to be where Shoeless Joe was, if my memory serves me well. The decor is alright, nothing stood out for me? The noise level can be a bit less to have conversations with friends. We were seated in our reserved spot not long after we got in. The staff are very attentive at first and the shift/store manager even swung by to say hello. We ordered our food and we waited. I ordered the fish and chip, the fish is huge and came with plenty of fries. I also "caved in" and order the gravy. This I like as the flavours are different from the usual ones I get from other restaurants. Back to the fish, it is just okay? I couldn't taste the Steam Whistle Pilsner batter too much. Fish was just okay. Nothing super thrilling about it. I believe this place is more for hang out and grab a drink than people coming here for food. Will I come back? Yeah for hang out and that's about it.

We went to the Union Social Eatery for Sunday dinner. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the service was very friendly. It is more a bar than a restaurant. Everything is made in house so the food should be great. We started with the pulled pork poutine. It was pretty good. I was not very hungry so I had a Caesar salad. It was a typical Caesar salad. My friend had the Brie Chicken. She was happy with it, but it was nothing special. Would we go back? Probably since the staff was very friendly and I would like to try other dishes.

I've come here a few times already but in my most recent visit we made reservations to watch the raptors playoff games. The energy and vibes of the place is really cool. We had a few beers and glasses of wine before we started dinner. The food is standard pub food. Nothing stood out but nothing tasted bad. No free parking. Street parking or paid parking. The staff was attentive and polite. Great place to watch the game and for a casual hang out.

    Garlic shrimp taco
    Amy W.

The noise level is quite high for a dinner place in terms of music. We ordered the garlic shrimp taco, the flavour went well together with the avocado. This dish was tasty. And the house braised sirloin firecracker (egg roll wrap) the cream cheese was way too overpowering. I had one bite and didn't continue to finish the dish. Definitely not ordering this again! The truffle fries was not hot enough and tasted dried. It reminds me of left over fries and reheat in the oven the next day. Also, I can't really taste the truffle. A little on the disappointed side.

The hotel lobby was nicely decorated for the holiday season, with a Christmas tree, large "Happy Holidays" sign, and other festive decorations. The ambiance inside the restaurant, just like the rest of the hotel, was classy. Service was good. There was an option to do coat check at the front. Reservation is highly recommended, especially on weekends, as they tend to get very busy. Underground parking is available at the RBC building next door, or at the hotel. Food was really good, and in decent portion sizes. The sides were bigger than we thought, so we took away some leftovers. 1) PEI Mussels Pot (mussels with bell pepper & red onion vinaigrette), served with grilled sourdough bread - The bell pepper and red onion vinaigrette was delicious and on point. I liked that the pot had enough but not too much broth - enough to dip the bread in, but didn't fully cover all the mussels (making the mussels retain some of their original flavour). 2) Miso Black Cod (black cod with sake, miso, crispy lotus roots, sesame seeds, pea shoots) - One of my favourite dishes of the night. The cod was delicate and seasoned perfectly with the sake and miso. The crispy lotus roots added a nice crunch. 3) Mushrooms Bowl (jasmine rice, miso mixed mushrooms, roasted squash, crispy Brussels sprouts, cherry tomatoes, chilli threads, garlic crisps, basil) - Great vegetarian dish. There was a LOT of rice in the bowl, and the rice was flavourful with the miso sauce. The mixed mushrooms were 10/10. I also liked the balance of cooked and raw vegetables in this bowl, giving a touch of freshness. For each main, we got to choose 1 side. We opted to add extra veggie sides. Brussels Sprouts were also available as appetizer, which came in a large bowl (bigger portion size compared to the side). We were able to get it without the bacon, and the vinaigrette sauce on the side. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy and flavourful, even without the vinaigrette add-on. The Grilled Vegetables side consisted of broccolini, zucchini, red and yellow peppers. Roasted Squash was lightly topped with a bit of chopped parsley. All of the sides that we got were excellent. After dinner, we headed out to the patio / terrace for the Christmas holiday market. There was a separate holiday market-special menu, with some light bites and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). It was a small market, but decorated very nicely with all the lights, fire pits, and the iconic Ritz-Carlton vintage green car. It had 100% cozy Christmas holiday vibes, with great photo ops. Even though it was technically outside, the fire pits made the market area feel quite warm.

Came here on my birthday to enjoy some tea with a friend as it has become our tradition. She had written TWICE that it was my birthday, but there was nothing for us. They don't do it? No, they do... as we were about to leave after paying and enjoying our tea, there was another couple that had gotten some ice cream with a candle and were told happy birthday. Like if you had even said it and stuck a candle in an existing dessert, I would have been fine with that. But got no effort at all. Tea was ok, kind of weak in my opinion.. not enough leaves were used for the pot. All the food items were great but we wish my vegan friend didn't get two of the same sandwiches.. at least make an effort to make a different one. The valet parking was super confusing.. the front desk was telling us to pay outside and outside was telling us to pay at front desk... we had to walk back and forth four times before we ended up paying at front desk... super annoying to do in heels. Never coming back here for anything.

This was first on our list, located in the Scotiabank Tower on Adelaide. We got a nice corner table, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, not too loud but not library-like either. The music, mostly UK fare like their cuisine, played an acceptable volume that my friends and I didn't have to raise our voices. We were seated very promptly, and our server took care to attend to my friend's allergy. She even asked to change my friend's cutlery when another server brought the wrong salad. My appetizer was a hot-smoked salmon pâté, which was ok by itself, but eaten with the pickles gave it that taste I wouldn't forget. I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. The sides were delicious as well, especially the crispiness of the potatoes. A clean plate was the end result! Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! All in all, it was a nice introduction to The Rabbit Hole, and I can't wait to go down there again!
