I loved Uniqlo since I first went to the three-story department store in NYC. So many colors, so many options, so affordable, and so much comfort! I didn't get a chance to visit the store in SF when it came to Cali. When I came across this store by chance at the Great Mall, I felt like a kid at a candy store. With limited time, I found a shirt I liked for $19.99, on sale for $9.99. Loved it so much, softest material ever, and so I bought it in 4 other colors as well. I know I'll be browsing through sweaters, jeans, and jackets here the next I pay this store a visit! I will definitely be back here soon! read more

Literally went to this store and lost another bag the we purchase at the other store. Put the bag at the counter area and lost it in few mins. Asked help from the manager but did not make any action. Requested to see camera record since they have it directly in front of the counter but the manager "Mai" said she need to request first to see and review the camera? We literally lost an item inside the store and no action given to help us at least see who took it? If anything at least make the customer feel that this Uniqlo store is willing to help or solve a possible theft case inside their store. I love this Uniqlo. Not only is it closer to me than the Valleyfair location--- this one is by far larger! It spans the entire cut through of the Great Mall. Although it was opening weekend, workers managed to keep the store extremely clean and tidy. I dropped by twice during opening weekend. The first was during closing on Saturday and the store was still in pristine condition. Sunday morning I came in to snag a limited edition tote. Overall, extremely happy with my purchase. I hate this store. The quality of the product is mediocre--nothing special, besides the brand collaborations that they bring. I ordered a product online to pick up in store. They item arrived a week later than it was originally promised, and they couldn't even make the exception to give me the exact item that I had ordered that was currently in store because they had to "wait for the factory sent item." If you don't pick up the item you ordered, you're supposed to be refunded for the charge. It took 2 months for me to be refunded because the store "forgot to send it back to the factory." On another day, I waited in line with my boyfriend to try on his clothing. When we got to the front, they asked me to go wait outside because the hallway needed to stay clear. Having worked in clothing retail, I could understand stored have policies and it isn't up to the workers; however, they let other customers wait for their husbands right next to my boyfriend's fitting room. I dread coming to Uniqlo due to the atmosphere and policies and I especially do not recommend coming to this location. They are the worst. Try Valley Fair. read more

Quality of their clothing is always top notch! Uniqlo also has some very good sales if you're lucky. One time, I came in and they had dress shirts and polo shirts for only $5.90-$9.90. They even had Chino pants for only $19.90 from the regular price of $39.90. Honestly, this is the best place to buy clothes if you are visiting Great Mall. I'm glad they opened up the store. Really great quality clothes here for a decent price. I came here looking for a cardigan my friend wore but couldn't find it and had to settle for this sweater instead. I liked that it was for summer or winter weather :) very light and great colors and fabric! Also the tall Asian guy that tried to help me out was nice, still sad that the cardigan was probably seasonal but happy I got this cute sweater for $30. Finally managed to scope out Uniqlo this morning. Tried opening day (Halloween) but the line to get it was wrapped around the food court. My cousin (and Yelp Elite) John J. braved it this past weekend and said the location ran out of free heat tech. Well-organized. Good spot to acquire quality basics, from the perfect supima cotton tee to down jackets, in trendy cuts and wide range of colors at a reasonable price point. Very few prints or patterns (except in accessories, underwear/socks, and collaboration collections) - think Japanese version of American Apparel. Fantastic sale prices at most locations, so keep checking in. read more

I got a $20 T shirt for my son 2 days ago. today I washed it before my son can wear it ( I would recommend to wash all the new clothes before you wear them . I had seem clothes were on the dirty floor and people stepped on them). The T shirt was shrunk so small that my son could not fit. I brought it back to the store and asked to exchange for bigger size . The store manager refused to exchange because I already washed it. The exchange and return policy at Uniqlo is terrible. As a whole, Great Mall really sucks and I hate going there but this is the one redeeming store that they have. Significantly better selection than the Valley Fair location, rivaling that of the SF branch. Primarily serving in casual attire, they also have a good selection of business casual and seasonal attire (like fluffy lightweight jackets) at affordable prices. They produce their own lines of clothing so it's interesting to see what sort of collaborations they'll bring in to the store at times (e.g. Nintendo, Disney). Store is clean with a neat minimalist aesthetic, and employees are generally polite and helpful in assisting with any questions you might have. read more

Try finding an item in your color and size - it's all mixed randomly, and they don't seem to reorganize their shelves and underwear after shoppers have gone through them. Uniqlo has become a staple in my shopping experience and closet; if you need proof, just look in my closet - over 80% of my clothing has been replaced with Uniqlo clothing. Ever since visiting Uniqlo in Japan over a decade ago, and then going to the East Coast locations prior to the Bay Area locations opening, I've been hooked on their clothing. From their basics to their trends, the quality has remained superb and I basically buy one of every color in any item that I end up liking. Out of all of the Uniqlo locations that have sprung up in the Bay Area, this one is my favorite; not just because of its proximity to my house, but also because of it's size and the selection available given the limited space. I end up coming here at least twice a week to get my steps in after work, and I frequently come across some awesome items on sale or stumble upon their weekly promotions. I find that the stock in store is actually better than online as well. The staff here is usually on top of their game and very welcoming (aside from this one greeter/employee who looked like he was sulking around and trying to avoid human interaction - I understand retail isn't always fun, but if you're not loving your job, don't be a downer on everyone else's experience). I seriously love this store, and I bet this store kind of loves me as well seeing that I spend a great deal of my paycheck here these days! read more

The store is pretty big than most stores. This is not the brand I usually shop. I only come here for joggers. I really like the quality of the joggers. They have a few colors such as black, dark grey, light grey, red, and navy. They are really comfortable, but you have to get less than the size you normally wear for the perfect fit. read more

The employees who I talked to were all super helpful and really nice. They had a really good selection with shirts that fitted well. I didn't try anything on instore, but I did ask them for different sizes for 2 out of the 4 shirts that I bought. They didn't have any other sizes for one of them, so I figured that I could just buy it some other time. The guy at checkout was really nice, he recommended stuff to watch on Netflix and then walked us through some of the deals and stuff that they had going at the moment. An extra star for my previous experiences here, but after today I don't think I'll be back. I purchased two button up shirts here a few weeks back to take on a trip - literally the day before I flew out. One of the shirts was to wear for "going out" purposes. Fast forward to the trip - while getting dressed to go out for the evening I notice that the very shirt I bought and brought with me still had the security tag on it, forcing me to frantically search for a plan B option. Upon getting back from my trip I emptied everything from my bag into the wash, forgetting about the new shirt with the tags still on it. Because the shirt was washed with the security tag on it, the hole where the security tag pushes through the shirt got larger, but I didn't realize this until when bringing the shirt in to get the tag removed. Before taking the shirt in to get the tag removed I thought it'd be worth calling the Uniqlo store to explain the situation. All I got was the corporate customer service line. Unfortunately there is no way to directly contact the individual stores b&m stores. The customer service person apologizes and recommends that I ask to speak with a supervisor or manager upon arriving at the store. I make the 30 minute drive to the great mall for the sole purpose of getting this tag removed from my shirt. Upon getting there I find the first employee and ask if I can speak with their manager, being sure to explain why. The worker tells me that he can take care of it himself and takes me to the checkout counter and hands me off to another employee who does his best job of scrutinizing my simple request to remove the security tag - even with the receipt in hand. First he tries to tell me it's not the shirt on the shirt on the receipt (there were two shirts on it). He then removes the security tag, checks the shirt again and says, "I'm okay with that" in the most snooty tone. He then hands me the shirt so I can be on my way. It was here when I noticed the hole in the shirt - I was feeling really uneasy about the whole exchange and just wanted to get out of there. I figured since I was there at the mall that I'd go around to other stores and do some shopping. I didn't want to carry around the wrinkled, tagless shirt, so I asked the employee if I could have a bag to put the shirt in and he told me I'd have to pay $0.10 for it - adding insult to injury and prompting me to write this review. read more

Good quality, best prices and helpful staff, even at their busiest time. I do really like shopping at Uniqlo. Convenient, you can find any clothing you look for, most of the time they are well organized. You just need to figure out your sizes. Hooray -- I don't have to go to Valley Fair to shop at Uniqlo now! The Great Mall is just so much closer to home. I've become a big fan of Uniqlo. Everything fits wonderfully. I can't wear a plain white t-shirt from any other brand nowadays, it seems. At least, not when I am able to get my supima cotton t-shirts for about $6-10 dollars a pop. Super comfy! Uniqlo boasts affordable price for quality items, even when an item isn't on sale. I've been reading up on their business model, which is really interesting. Apparently, because they have a small selection of clothing in terms of unique items, they're able to bulk order the material and translate that into cheaper costs for their consumers. I'm in favor of this! My boyfriend enjoys shopping here because of the practical shopping experience. The clothing fits well, and he can buy the same item in a whole array of different colors. I'm pretty similar in my shopping habits, too. The lines at this store are quick moving from what I can tell. I came here over Memorial Day Weekend and the checkout experience was pain free. Completing a return is no trouble at all. Another benefit is the size of the store. The store is spacious and you won't find yourself bumping into people or crawling over other shoppers to get to an item. The store is located near the food court, but the food smell doesn't waft in. Also, the store can serve as a detour through if you're looking to cut through to the other side of the mall. I'm hoping Uniqlo is able to take hold in the US and that it sticks around for quite some time. read more

Be aware about their cashier, last Tuesday I went shopping there, when I ready to pay my products at the registration, the cashier who wear a necklace with a turtle pendent, he let me insert my card two time , both said approved, then I removed my card , but the cashier said the transaction didn't go through both , then let me insert my card the third time , but I refused him , told him I don't want to buy anything there , and let him do a refund, but he said the system told him they didn't get money. And then I logged in my online bank , it said pending, but he said the pending is mean they don't get the money,then just let go if I don't want to pay the products. And today , Thursday when I logged my online bank , it said the payment has been posted. wHat ??? That mean I paid $108then got nothing? Reviewing clothing at a large retail chain is pretty subjective, so this is based purely on customer service experiences. UNIQLO always has a greeter. It's a nice touch and I appreciate that. It seems as though they always put their A-Squad, super outgoing person up there... makes sense right? Anyway, I used to work retail and I know the ins and outs of customer service at a clothing store. I asked a worker if they had another size in some jeans because I couldn't find it on the floor. He said he'd check in the back. So I continued to browse... saw him standing there, talking to one of his co-workers having a grand ole time. I decided to walk around figuring he'd get back to me, I was always in his view... just to make sure. Time passes... a long time so I begin to question, "Did he forget about it, or what?" I walk back up to him, he's been standing in the same place and I ask him what's up... "It says we have some, but I can't find it" and he proceeded to turn around and fold jeans. 1) I ask you a question and you don't try to get back to me with an answer?! 2) the answer the employee provided gave me no solution... no let's check the fitting rooms, or let me check another store? Training needs to be taken up a notch. Horrible experience. Spend your money elsewhere... don't expect to get any help from the employees there. read more

I like the products of Uniqlo but can you do anything about the guy in the fitting room? One afternoon, my kid was out of school. I took her to Uniqlo and wanted her to try on some clothes. I of course wanted to come along to the fitting room to see how she looks in them. But the skinny Asian guy with a little mustache stopped us from going into the same room. It was a weekday afternoon and no other customer was there to try anything on. He also said 5 items at a time which was fine since me and my daughter were going to share the same clothes in different colors anyways since we take same size. So we divided them into two. I took some and she took some but the guy kept asking if I was really gonna try them on too. I said yes and went into a dressing room. This guy kept coming to check if we didn't take all of the clothes into the fitting rooms only for the daughter. We went out of the rooms every time we tried one to show each other and the guy came to check every time. He even looked into our dressing room each time. Hey, we are ladies! Why do you have to place such a rude MAN in the fitting room where we undress ourselves in? He literally comes to look into the fitting room every time we go out to show each other! And he was counting the clothes in the hangers in each room! What is his problem? Perv? We love the quality of Uniqlo items but this experience was good enough to stop us from going to Uniqlo ever again! If you need to try on something there, please be careful. Staff is not knowledgeable, or at least the one person i spoke to. He wrongfully assumed their jeans were on the special promotion and mislead me. I wouldn't have minded if he admitted he was unsure and checked with someone else to verify the price. Other than that... Low prices, good styles. It's awesome that they hem pants for free ($5 charge if the pants are under $20.) I was surprised they offered free hemming and more pleasantly surprised that they said it would be done in an hour! Best jeans ever! Goodbye CK jeans. Goodbye Levi's. I will never buy jeans from anyone else again. The Uniqlo jeans are soft, and the fabrics stretches when you squat or bend. I have never worn jeans this comfortable before. The onsite tailor will alter the pant length for free. On a busy Saturday afternoon, the alteration took only one hour. We left, walked a half circle around Great Mall, and voila! Jeans are done. read more

I bought a pair of warm legging from this place, but not happy with its quality. Even though I never wear it, the staffs refused to take it back when I tried to return it. I was told that I can not return leggings even though I never wore them and they treat leggings as underwear and do not take any returns.. I could not understand why leggings are treated as underwear, why it is anything different from regular pants. Both are worn on top of underwear and both touch the legs.. In any case, in addition to their bad return policy, Uniqlo clothes are craps and look boring, and this particular store is always crowded and in a mess. I won't shop here again. read more

Worst customer service. They tagged a rack of clothes with the sale price. when I went to pay for the item it came up with the regular price and when I showed her the sale tag the cashier said she will override the price but the manager said those are not on sale and no they have a new policy and will not honor their own mistake and blamed their night shift staff for putting the wrong price on the rack. This is after making me wait for half an hour while the manager try to find an excuse not to honor the price shown on the tag they placed on the rack. Other stores would normally honor it and even thank you for catching a mistake but not this store not only they won't honor their mistake but they won't even thank you for catching it. In terms of size, the store is nothing compared to the one near Union Square in the city, but it certainly has everything you need in terms of clothing. This location is very big, but living in SF and shopping at the main store, the service here needs to be trained. Many people I know have been told false information here on their return policy. They literally tell you that you cannot return anything even if it is unopened and brand new. I hope a manager comes on here to respond to this because this is what your employees are telling customers and I think it might have even been the manager saying this. Great clothes as always, but if you ever want to return something you better be ready to argue. They will literally examine your return item like they are doing surgery. They will ask you if it was used. Even when I tell them no, just returning because I wanted to exchange for something else, they will still do a minute review of the item. read more
