You will never get another dollar from my family or friends. Your return policy is a joke. Why don't you post your return policy in your front window?? I bought 3 t shirts at your San Jose store. I usually buy them every year so I am familiar with the fit. This time the fit is soooo off that no matter what size I would get, they would not fit. I brought them back to the San Mateo Store, and was told I would have to drive back to San Jose to return them, because that is where they were purchased. They would not even give a store credit, and you CAN NOT exchange them for another style shirt. This is pure insanity. They have lost all perspective with regards to customer service. Not sure who is running this, but let me explain something in case they actually read this. 1. Gas is $6.00 a gallon....so I am not driving back to San Jose. The gas would cost more than the 3 T shirts. 2. I can buy the same T shirts you sell, (and other items) at Costco, Macys, Kohls, Gap etc etc... They want my business. 3. I was a loyal customer, did most of my Xmas shopping at your store. Never again... 4. In case the rocket scientists that are making the policies have a change of heart, remember you will never get back the customers you have lost. 5. If you are going to have a policy like this you need to post it in the front window of your store, or at least put ink in your register tape. (see attached photo for the War and Peace version of the return policy on my receipt) Lastly, I will make it my mission to make sure everyone I know is aware of your policy, and will post it as many places as I can. read more

I've never written a review in my life, but I wanted to shout out Devyani for helping me so painstakingly just days before Christmas! I wanted to get a sweater for my dad, and she happened to be nearby for me to ask if they had any other sizes. A couple searches & calls later, she had the perfectly sized sweater on hold for me at the closest nearby store! It took some time, but she never gave up and was incredibly personable & friendly. As a retail worker myself, I sincerely appreciated her extensive effort in helping me, especially during such a holiday rush. This company is ridiculous. I bought a jacket online and marked that I would pick it up in the Hillsdale mall store. They have three in the shop. When I came to pick it up, they didn't give me a jacket that was already in the store, but I had to wait a week for the same jacket to arrive in the store and then I could pick it up. it Doesn't make any sense! In addition, there is no phone number for the store and you cannot call the store directly, only the 1800 number that cannot help you. I'm done with Uniqlo! Terrible customer service! read more

Hit or miss for me. Sometimes cute things but often not. Also they're pretty pricey. Store is always packed. There's usually a line. Cashiers aren't very personable. I always irrationally feel like I'm going to be in trouble when I go to pay. read more

I just found out the San Francisco Uniqlo flagship store is closing in 2021. Makes me grateful that the Hillsdale Mall location is still open. I enjoy shopping here for various items. Never had a bad experience. Staff have always been kind and helpful. Also fun to hunt their clearance items. Fingers crossed that they can survive. read more

The staff in the store is great but unfortunately they are constrained by corporate to tell us that they cannot process returns of online items. Apparently uniglo chooses not to tell you that when you order something online. I guess it's in small writing that nobody ever bothers to read. I do hope that the corporate office realizes how awful of a policy this is. This will certainly cause me to stop being a regular customer of uniglo much as I love the merino wool sweaters. I hope my pain is repeated many many many times by people ordering online. Revolt people and write a bad review! Hi Uniqlo, would someone help explain the policy; i just don't get it. I am returning or exchanging (whatever works) 2 pairs of denims for my sister. She wanted a different size and denims color. She purchased the jeans at Valley Fair Westfield mall (San Jose, CA). Since she will be out of town, she asked me to return or exchange (or store credit) but since I live in the San Mateo, CA area, I went to the Hillsdale Mall. Unfortunately, the size she needed was not available. I was unpleasantly surprised that the store would NOT do a return or store credit. I have the receipt and the purchase was within 30 days. Per the manager, I can only return in the original store I purchased. Why? How does that help the customer. I love Uniqlo but this policy is definitely one way to lose customers. I will stop shopping at Uniqlo. read more

Bought shirts here and tried them on and found a good fit. Grabbed a few different colors but when I got home I found that one of them was about 20% shorter than the rest. I tried it on, but it was too short for me, so I put it aside for return another day. The tag was also hanging on by a thread and fell off while I was trying it on. When I went to return the item and explained the weird part about the length of the shirt, the 20 year old something girl said that it was from a different season and that they couldn't return it because of it looks worn because of some dust on it. But I hadn't even washed the shirt yet. I brought the tag with me and as soon as she saw the tag was off the shirt, she doubled down and refused to even ask about the return even after telling her there was already a faulty tag on it. Bullshit policy. Check everything on the shirts before you buy it because once you leave you're stuck. read more

I made an online order to pick up at this store. Got covid when it was ready to pick up and after 3 calls to Uniqlo customer service (you can't call the store directly oddly), they agreed to extend pick up date so I wouldn't go in to pick this up. Showed up 2 days before the deadline to pick up and this store told me they had already returned my limited edition items (which were now 5-10X more on ebay) back to the warehouse. I got emails saying order was ready to pick up, yet nothing that it was returned back to warehouse. Even worse, the store manager had a negative tone and was NEVER apologetic about this happening to me. Really bad manager at this store which many of the reviews below indicate. Treat your customers with respect, especially when they're clearly not at fault. Worst Uniqlo store I've ever been to. read more

Buyers beware. According to the cashier at this location, all Uniqlo locations changed the return policy last Oct (during Covid) and it still stands, where returns can only be made if you purchased the item from the same store. If not, you can only do an exchange and that exchange has to be immediately. They won't give you store credit either. read more

Not much to say, pretty much everyone knows what uniqlo sells. I love their app that gives free items every once in a while. Anyway this location like all others have been consistently clean and with good customer service. They all must have had training to be polite or make you feel like your in japan. One bad thing is I can tell clothing quality had fallen but the plus side is they have so many basics they are my go to for basic shirts, hoodies, down jackets, t shirts. Love their limited grapic t shirts and believe it or not they actually resell for higher prices. Kaws collab t shirts resell for over $100 for a $15 dollar retail shirt. One stop shop for basics and resell items to get said basics for free. read more

I saw it was on promotion and asked if they could adjust the price and then I was going to apply it to a shirt I wanted to buy. The girl asked me if I still have the tags on it and obviously no, and she said it is the only way to do it. Horrible customer service. Will never shop at this store again. read more

I bought xmas gift 11/2017, today 3/11 i came to hillsdale branch to return the Xmas gift that was not given to its owner because the size is small, all im asking is changing the size and color; but the 2 guy on the cashier did not allow changing due to 60 days allowable time.they could have hanled it diffirently but these 2 esp.
