My last visit 6/26 had to ask optician to go over the list of charges when my bill was more than expected. Upgrades like anti-glare, anti-scratch, or extra thin material for my moderate prescription reading glasses were all on the bill without me being included in the choices. My prior visit, 7/25 was a similar situation. And the 7/24 visit left me with a pair of off the shelf Maui Jim's w/warped lenses. In this case, the optician (Bob) should have noticed that the lenses were damaged (probably due to being directly underneath the display light). Dr. Dally made it right on the 6/25 visit because the issue was within 1 year warranty, but I had to pay processing fees. The doctor here is good. It's the lack of transparency and inclusion from the front of the house that is something of which to be aware.

I didn't know cameras could project that! Science is amazing! I forget the eye doctors name. But I know they told me he was the Chinese doctor. I'm not too sure if he is actually Chinese or just speaks Mandarin and or Cantonese, but certain people requested him. When I later needed my PD (pupillary distance)--a basic part of the exam--to order glasses, the front desk told me they would not provide it because I was not buying glasses from them. This was surprising and very disappointing, because PD is part of the exam results that I already paid for. Even more concerning: When my family member called the same clinic later, the staff suddenly said they could provide the PD. This inconsistency raises questions about professionalism and fairness. I hope the clinic can improve transparency and treat every patient with consistent standards.

It is a condition that has no treatment/cure. The Doctor knew all the things to watch for...signs that would show that I was getting the disease (it is hereditary). It was very comforting knowing that I have picked the right Optometrist My Husband has diabetes and that makes eye exams very important. Diabetics have the potential for blindness because of uncontrolled blood sugar. So you need to get retinal scans and not every optometrist office does them but this office does. Dr. Winnie made sure that my husband did the retinal test and checked over everything thoughly. Her front office staff was a delight, very friendly and welcoming. While at my optometrist I was recommended Vision Eyeglass Repair at 1144 S Winchester Blvd, Ste D, San Jose, CA 95128 Upon arrival, I found parking to be a bit challenging as this is a house. There is good ADA parking on the driveway. All business is done through a modified front wood door with an access window cut into it. The grounds are kept very clean and the business appears to be run by an older man and woman. I had a short wait, as there were two customers ahead of me. I learned that he tries to repair while you wait. The lady assured me he would be with me soon. Five minutes later I met the gentleman and showed him my broken glasses. He told me they could be repaired but involved repairing the hinges and other items. He gave me a price quote-which I felt was very fair considering the damage. I paid up front (they do take credit cards) and I told him he could have them for a few days. I came back a few days later and the glasses looked great. The lenses were clean, nothing was loose, the repairs looked great! I was so happy-that's why im doing this review. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this business!
