My hair was not straight, but worst of all, fried. Absolutely fried in clumps where my hair was sticking out in bunches everywhere. My hair looked worse than when I walked in and was utterly disappointed. Buyer beware! The owner of this salon is extremely unprofessional! She over books your nail appointment with her hair appointments and her equipment is dirty.. When I first started going to Unique nails, she had about three to four workers, they did great work on my nails after about the fourth or sixth month there was only one worker who mostly sat in the back. That should have been my red flag. My last few rounds, 3 of my nails kept popping off. I went back to get them repaired and noticed brown spots on them as well as on my toes. I asked her if they were fungus and she insisted that it wasn't. After my nails popped off the third time, I noticed that the brown spots got larger. I booked a medical appointment and my doctor was quite disturbed when I told him that the owner (Wendy) said that it wasn't fungus. His words were, "she should be licensed and should know better." [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went back to the salon and told her what my doctor said, instead of apologizing she tried to flip the script and say that I went to another salon and they did it. She's a liar, I had been going to her salon for 6 pluse months[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. BUYER BEWARE! Three times in a row She has booked me, started on my nailses, and had me sit there and wait while she would cut or dye someone's hair. I've been coming to Unique Hair and Nails for 2 years, and it's always been a relaxing, consistent experience--until my most recent visit. It looks like there's new staff now, and unfortunately, the quality of service has noticeably changed. I asked for almond-shaped nails, which I've gotten many times before, but this time the result was completely off (photo attached). It felt like the new technician wasn't confident or properly trained in nail shaping or application. I left disappointed, which is not something I'm used to saying about this salon. They get it right every time because I always use the same person. At GC, it's always someone different so my haircut was always different.
