WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. For having such a beautiful facility, the managers customer service is horrid!!! When you put a manger in place, interpersonal skills should be a requirement! This place is very over priced, not even comparable to any of the other nail salons in the area! I started coming to Unique shortly after they opened and it is by far the nicest nail salon I have been in - while still maintaining reasonable prices! The massage chairs you sit in while you get your pedicure are glorious... the kind you actually look forward to sitting in. Snow runs a great salon, so much so that I still make the 40+ mile drive up from my current residence in downtown San Diego. Everything in my area of the same upscale quality was overpriced and everything in the same price range just felt run down and so... unglamorous. The nail specialists at Unique are among the few that care about your experience. I always ask for Tina and she legitimately puts me to sleep every time! Heaven! But every single specialist caters to you and accommodates you to their fullest. I've honestly had pillows placed under my head when I'm tired and warm towels/blankets placed over me when I'm cold. Late just start out by saying that I made an appointment 30 minutes before I needed to be there. I expected to wait anyways but didn't. I was greeted and say down immediately. I looked around and the ladies working were all engaged with the customers. Their was Vietnamese spoken but I never felt that they were talking about me because it was broken up with English. This was the most awesome part of this mail salon. I arrived 1 hour and 15 minutes before they closed needing a full set eye brow, lip and bikini wax. They did it all and I left about 750. 50 minutes after close. The lady who originally started my nails put the tips on them told me that the lady who did stiletto will help me. Wow I was passed on to someone who knew not just doing nails because I'd pay you them. Jackie did you nails and she did a phenomenal job. We talked and she made me feel comfortable. Then she turned me over to Tina for my waxing. I was nervous because I hadn't had a bikini wax in a while. But she was awesome. She showed me everything she had done and she was the one who realized I needed more waxing. I didn't have to tell her anything. She was thorough and even when she thought she was done saw more and took care of it. It was not rushed. I don't think I will ever go to another salon. I'm hooked on unique nails!! read more

Went in for a full set and eyebrows. The only words spoken to me by the guy who did both were you get eyebrows done, you need and touched my face lol made for a awkward start. My nails turned out nice except I asked for acrylic and somehow ended with gel. $ Then I said regular polish seeing as I know I won't be getting them filled since it was for a one night special occasion. Ended up with gel. $ while I was there I watched a another coworker place used tools she wiped off in those plastic sealed bags to make them look sterile. Two men were in the pedicure chairs drinking and one left pretty damn drunk (drinks they brought with them) The guy doing my nails burnt the crap out of me even when I told him it was WAY to hot. And when I went to pay he tried to get me to pull out cash instead of using my card saying he wouldn't get paid if I ran my card. $55 to get burnt and have my "gel" polish already chipping after 2 days. I recently went to for the first time to get my eyebrows done and had a horrible experience. Eyebrows were uneven and two different shapes. Lady kept on saying not easy to do. I should know then, it was a mistake and she had no clue what she was doing. Horrible I do not recommend eyebrow waxing here at all!!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I was recommend to this place but I sure wish I would of never gone. Jackie was the one that did my nails and I asked for coffin shape. I assumed she knew how to do them from all the praise she gets on these reviews but the result of my nails were awful! She left them crooked, uneven, and the acrylic was very thick. When I told her I didn't like them she said I could go home and shape them how I wanted them myself!! ( Hello! This is why I'm paying her to do it, so I wouldn't have to pay 30$ and still have to shape them myself) The owner snow was sitting right next to her working on another girls manicure and she heard I was displeased but did nothing about it. Her only comment was that if I wanted coffin I should ask for the guy that works there. My response was that I wasn't going to be going there again. I would of appreciated if Jackie would of told me that she didn't know how to do the coffin shape or even yet not liked to do it. But instead I was left with lumpy, thick, uneven nails and was still charged an extra 5 dollars for the shape. Terrible customer service!! Maybe if she wasn't checking her phone or checking her iPad constantly she would of done my nails right. Please save your time and money and go somewhere else read more
