Sometimes you just have to trust the reviews. First off, the prices are hidden so I thought that was a little sketch. The lady will try to squeeze in extra services than what you ask without telling you it's extra then give you a surprise extra charge at the end. I questioned the charge because that's not what the lady told me when I came in and all she said was "sorry". Hmmm , okay? This is how they prob don't have loyal customers coming back. UPDATE: the lady told me the service was 16$ at the register and I'm looking at my credit charge and it's 18$.. not worth my time to even argue over the extra charge but beware and avoid this place!!! read more

I came in after a session at the TriBeCa Barber School (around the corner) to finish my budget grooming run and am delightfully surprised by the quality of service at this threading salon. To begin, there were only two threaders available, and each already had clients, but I didn't even wait more than ten minutes. I sat in the chair, and within three minutes the threader had perfectly shaped my overgrown brows with minimal discomfort and optimal speed. I'm definitely coming back when I'm due for another cut. I will say that the price was a bit more than I'm used to, but only by a dollar (that's the city for ya). Eyebrow tinting review: I called ahead of time to confirm that they have light brown eyebrow dye. They confirmed that they do and I came in as a walk in as per their directions on that call. Long story short: one size does not fit all for eyebrows... I don't know why they didn't follow what my eyebrows already look like and decided to do a super elongated and down-sloping shape with HAIRCOLOR. One of my eyebrows is clearly darker than the other and they're both different shapes after seeing these people. I don't know how that's okay to do to someone's face. After removing the dye and knowing I'd need to have my eyebrows redone ASAP, I asked if I could just put the dye on myself and they handed me a mirror and nasty brush that I wouldn't even be able to recreate my normal look with so I admitted defeat and just handed them $20 for a completely shitty $10 job before running home to cry in the shower. Whoever I assume was the owner couldn't even fathom why I would be upset and assumed it's because of the excess dye they left on my skin while painting what looks like the mustache of the grinch onto my eyebrows. read more

Went to get eyelash extensions The lady there didn't even want to explain how the eyelashes were different and looked like she was not Interested in doing it on me. Then wen she put them on she got a whole bunch of glue on my real lashes ( their glue is like fucking crazy glue) didn't fill up my whole whole eye with lashes. But aside from that I told her that I felt them and she refused to fix them. I ended up coming back because I was right and they needed to be fixed. They were $40 and that's reasonable. One of the worst places to get a henna tattoo. First off she drew on the henna so quickly it was super messy and thin. I had to ask her to make the henna lines thicker. And second of all their henna must be old because I spent $35 for it to last 3 days. When I went back to them and showed them they just told me that it's never happened before and they wouldn't do anything about it. I was fine with drawing my own design with a pen while the woman just went over it with henna (because she didn't know how to draw the design) and then charged me $10 but I am not okay with it only lasting 3 days. I was expecting at least some kind of a credit or even for her to re-do it since I have been a long time customer for my eyebrows. The lady took all of two minutes to do my eyebrows and one of them was so misshapen compared to the other. Before she took me, she was also almost shouting at a guy who didn't know how to use the credit card machine and she was annoyed she had to click the credit card button 3 times.
