Went in last year I wanted to keep my jacket with my pants. I was going to send around 500 Total in alterations. The lady I was working with finally agreed to allow me to keep them together. At the end the other lady told me I couldn't and said no and was extremely rude. I spent an hour trying on the clothes and getting marked then I was treated like crap with cash in hand ready to pay. I canceled the whole order. Very poor customer service. I instead went to Hong Kong tailor in casa LINDA plaza and was very happy. Will not be going back ever! read more

Tailoring was poorly executed with two of four pants hemmed too short (even barefoot) and baggy in areas that should have been taken in. Tried clothes on before picking up and when I requested that they fix problems, they were clearly annoyed, became rude and defensive going so far as to tell me that I had requested that they alter the clothes that way and one employee suggested that I just need to wash them to see if they look better. To be fair, I understand that sometimes it takes more than one try to get tailoring right. There were long, long, long lines during my pickup and clearly they are short-staffed. However........, the employees are unfriendly, unaccountable, and unprofessional in how they deal with their customers. That's a deal breaker for me as a consumer and based on several customers that overheard the exchanges and also complained, I wasn't alone. Despite it all, they were unwilling to waiver on charging me for the overpriced sloppy work that I now have to take to a new tailor. By far, worst customer service experience in years. I know there are some good reviews on here, but read them all - many have had similar encounters. Too many other tailors in Dallas to choose from. read more

Ive used this place for everything in my wardrobe...formal dresses, jeans, shirts, dress pants - and they have never let me down. They do things right the first time, and will even re-do it for free (if within 7 days). My favorite thing is the price - it's very, very reasonable, and for someone who can't sew at all, it's a lifesaver. I highly recommend them! read more

Paid for a rush job on a new suit, picked up the suit, the pants weren't even close. I returned them, they refused to credit me the rush job fee and redid the pants, but charged me another 45 dollars, Picked up the pants 2 weeks later, still not right. This was all off of of their measurements, and they tried to blame me for the work. This suit was a brand new Calvin Klein suit. When I complained they told me "Find someone else, don't come back". I've been having suits altered for 30 years, this is the worst treatment and rip off I've ever encountered. read more

his has to be the worst place for alterations in the city. Always crammed, no fitting room available and beyond terrible customer service. I purchased a pair of True Religion jeans and they recommended this place for a simple alteration. Long story short after the 3rd trip to correct the length the owner started screaming at me in front of everyone! Not only that they ruined my jeans as the cut off the material. After I tried to explain this to them, another guy started screaming for me to get out. NEVER go there!!! Will also let True Religion know where they are sending their people. read more

The Five Stars is for the cost and the wait time. If I had to factor in how long service takes, whether for a change room or measuring, the rating could fall to a 3. However, I know my inseam and I just drop off the pants. There has been no issues since I learned my lesson. read more

Fast & affordable. I have tailored everything here, suits, jeans, and even my wedding dress. They always do a great job. One thing though, they are blunt with comments. That is just how Asians talk. Shocked at how bad of an experience this was. Brought in a $300 bridesmaid dress and when I went to pick it up, it was taken in way to small and was extremely short. On a floor length dress you could see my shoes when standing up. I had even asked that it puddle slightly on the floor in heels. They fixed the size but the dress length was still so short and now crooked. I showed the tailor and she agreed it was off and offered me 3% off.. insulting. Had to take it up with the owner who said it "wasn't that bad" and would give me $10 off my totally...i will not return. read more

However, I am assuming they are just getting too busy because lately, the work has been very sloppy, the wait is forever and lastly, each time I get the SAME thing done, it is a different price! I saw this in another review and want to agree, make sure you try on before you leave and make sure you can understand your pink ticket because if it is a "redo" they always say that part was not included! After this round, I will definitely not be back and will never recommend them to anyone I know! It's a sad day when a great small business when loses their value! read more

The shop is extremely busy and the employees are rushed, not taking time to listen to the customer. I picked up my sports coat that I had Unique Tailors lengthen the sleeves. When I tried it on the lining was puffed out the end of the sleeves. I return the sports coat to Unique and explained the issue and they appeared more concerned with when I wanted to the job completed than the issue itself. I returned several days later to pick up the sports coat, this time I checked the work before leaving the shop. They fixed the lining in one sleeve, but not the other. For a relatively simple and straight forward alteration, it has become a hassle, having to make multiple visits. Next time I will use a tailor closer to home, this was a simple job that should not have required multiple trips to handle. read more

Worst experience ever. Avoid at all cost! I had a pair of jeans hemmed there. I compared it with a pair that fits well, this new pair is 2.5 inches longer. That's what I told them to cut. After getting it back, I compared with the same old pair, the new one is 0.5 inch longer. Apparently they cut 2 inches instead of 2.5. I called them, explained what happened. I was told I can bring it in and have it redone, just bring the original ticket with me. I brought it in the next day. Suddenly they won't admit it. I was asked to PROVE it was only cut by 2 inches. I explained many times that I know this because it was half inch longer than the one I used to get the measurement. But that didn't work for them. Without a time machine to take us all back, I really can't PROVE more than what I already did. The owners there are especially rude and unprofessional. The hem work they've done are at best just OK (if not consider the cut it the wrong size). You can't tell a pair of jeans was hemmed or not from a better tailor. You can tell right away from their work if you look inside. It's even visible from outside if you look at it a litter closer (from 5 or 6 feet away). Take your business somewhere else, where customers are respected and work is done better. read more

I'll keep this as brief as possible: I had two pants hemmed by them at the same time. One came out touching the top of the sole of my shoe (which I expected). One barely cleared the top of my shoe (about 2 inches too short). After spending an entire night worrying that my $1300 suit had been irreparably damaged (if there wasn't enough spare fabric to get the pants long enough), I brought them back to see what could be done. Their tone was not compassionate or helpful - it was adversarial and rude. It was like I was a huge inconvenience to them just because I was there. They did not take responsibility for the hem length, saying "people like their pants hemmed in many different ways." I was never asked how I liked my pants hemmed in the fitting process, and besides, they were so short I don't see how they possibly could have fit within any "normal" range. I brought them to another tailor, who told me that while not all people have pants touch the heel, these pants were clearly too short. Mistakes happen and I'd be fine with any number of arrangements to get the problem I had solved. But I don't need to be treated like a annoyance just because I've come in with a legitimate problem with services rendered. I've always known Unique to be the "go-to" in Dallas for alterations. Now I know that they make their profit on volume, which means quality and customer satisfaction are not primary concerns. read more

This is a solid, quick tailor, and I've gone here with new suits or pants and had them all turn out perfectly fine. No frills, the place is always packed and there's no room to stand or do anything besides look and feel uncomfortable. Hell, there's often no place to park if you go at the wrong time. That's why I will deduct one star-I get a little freaked out by crowds and especially when there's no place to even stare without staring at someone. I've witnessed all kinds of strange things. Last visit a girl didn't want to wait for one of the dressing rooms so she put on a skirt over her pants and then dropped the pants. Good thinking I must admit but unsettling a little bit to see a girl drop trou in public. I don't want to be the perve staring at someone who is trying on a beautiful dress that doesn't quite fit but really there's so little space that you will get stared at by someone. So in the end cheap, fast and good quality will get my business even if I know someone's gonna be staring at my butt in those way-too-tight pre altered slacks. read more

This place is absolutely awesome!! I had 2 pair of True Religion jeans I just bought, that I needed shortened.. They did it for 10$ in 2 hrs!! I dropped them off at 10:15 and they were ready by 12:15!! I'm extremely picky about my clothes and was specific about wanting the hem to cover the top part of my foot with heels on, they did it perfectly. They also made good suggestions that made me see they are honest, like don't try to make a jean length for both flats and heels do one or the other. Trust me I tried. Lol. Very friendly a couple of other customers were in their but everyone was courteous and patient to each other. Side note: you may meet a very hot guy while your waiting.....who wouldve thought... They are great! specially if you have complicated garments such as costumes and sequin dresses I think they are pretty affordable compared to some other Taylor's in the area. I always bring my costumes here for alterations with confidence. Just don't come on a weekend or you will be discouraged with parking and waiting . other then that I am a loyal and happy costumer :) read more

I'm 5'10" and for some reason, I've never taken anything to a tailor until recently and it happened to be Unique Tailor that I used. I gave them two items to repair, not to tailor to my body, and they managed to ruin both repairs. One spaghetti strap from a dress had ripped off so they decided to return the dress with the strap sewn tangled. The other item was a pencil skirt and they managed to somehow sew it back on with it pinching. Do not bother coming here unless you want to spend $20 buck on them screwing up your clothes. read more
