We stopped in for brunch around 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon. We called ahead to make sure we didn't need a reservation and they said that we did not. When we arrived they did not have any tables in that moment available but we were able to grab seats at the bar and were served immediately. The atmosphere is very unique. The walls are covered in fun murals and odd trinkets. There are fun light fixtures throughout the entire restaurant. The tables are lined with vintage printed chairs and there is loud dance music playing. The bartender greeted us quickly and we asked for waters to start. We had intended on doing bottomless mimosas that are served with prosecco but after glancing over the menu we decided on doing the Endless Bruch Cocktails for $25 a person since it was only $5 more than the bottomless prosecco. There is a two hour limit to both of the bottomless deals. The cocktail for the day that was included in the bottomless was the Strawberry Fields. The drink was tart and sweet. After a few of them they started to taste a bit syrupy but I think that has a lot more to do with drinking the same cocktail back to back rather than the drink actually tasting bad. I was thankful as well that the bartender made sure we always had cocktail and full glasses of water. For food we ordered a bunch of small plates to share. We ordered the Faroe Island Salmon Tartare, Boa Buns Kung Poa Crispy Sweetbreads, Pan Roasted Brussel Sprouts, and Lemon Cauliflower Dip. The Tartare came out first and it was super delicious, the salmon tasted fresh and the dip it was served with was delicious. Next up was the Cauliflower Dip, which had an incredibly unique flavor. The texture kind of reminded me of hummus but the flavor was fresh and citrusy. These first two dishes came out about six minutes apart and only a few minutes after we had ordered them. Our second two dishes took thirty minutes to come out of the kitchen. I'm not sure if they hadn't ordered them yet or if they really did just take that much time to come out. Either way, by the time the last two dishes came out we were too full and too tired to eat them at the restaurant. Although they had a lot of flavor and were really tasty we would have preferred to get to enjoy them while they were still warm and freshly prepared. Overall I think the food was very tasty and it's a great place to go if you'd like to split a lot of small plates with a group. The bottomless deal is great especially if you plan on having more than two cocktails because they would then pay for themselves. I love the atmosphere and definitely plan on returning another time in the future but hope our food would all come out at appropriate timing next time we visit! read more

The music is playing loud enough for you to hear, but not overbearing where you feel the need to yell at the person you're with. We were sat quickly, since there was no wait time today. The gentleman who greeted us was helping out, he told us he was the bartender and that our waitress would come shortly. In the meantime He brought us the menus and water. The waitress was busy as she was the only waitress. On Wednesday they have a whiskey Wednesday deal going on. We originally ordered the smoked old fashioned, however, the smoker was not properly working. We had an original old fashion and they were good, definitely considering come back to try them smoked. The Resturant is tapas style. We asked for our starters to be brought out prior to our entree. Since the food is brought out once they are ready to the table. We order the pork bao buns as starters. They were delightful, full of flavor. For entrees we order the charred strip loin and slow braised short rib. The short rib was brought out first, and had to wait a few minutes for the striploin to be brought out. Both meats were flavorful and would definitely order again. The strip loin temperature is cooked at medium and is served with two sauces, olives, and some basil. No sides are included with the steak. The short rib sits on a corn soufflé and is also served with broccolini. The meat is tender and the sauce blends well with the corn soufflé. The food deserved a 5 stars, and the service was great when we were being attended. However, would recommend an additional waitress/ server so the whole workload is not on one person. read more

It is located at the South end of Pembroke Gardens with plenty of parking available. Everything we tried was made with quality fresh ingredients and eye pleasing presentation. There is a lot of attention to detail with each dish and drink. For drink, I tried 21st Amendment with lemon and fresh strong ginger and my partner very much enjoyed his In Unit B Fashion, their signature old fashioned. Market fresh oysters were great topped with passion fruit radish mint and accompanied with a stellar house made hot chili sauce. Pan roasted Brussel sprouts were simply perfectly cooked with thinly sliced apple, parsnips and delicious bites of bacon. We also enjoyed charred octopus with endive, fennel and cured black olives and smoked kurbota pork chops with a tasty apple fennel puree. I had the broccolini and quinoa my husband had the salmon with mashed potatoes and he didn't like it at all. I probably wouldn't go back even though the service was phenomenal. It seems like a relatively small place so it's a good idea to make reservations beforehand to ensure your spot, but you can also get full service at the bar! Before going, I did not realize it was tapas style so I do feel like the menu is a little misleading as the entrees aren't the size you may expect. Having been to Unit B in Ft. Lauderdale I was soooo excited there's an addition to the Shops at Pembroke Pines. Just what this mall needed! From the start, I had a negative perception of this place because I figured it was overpriced for being in Pembroke Gardens. The waitress set the tone early and quick. She was extremely kind, patient and helpful. It was 6 guys so she took the time to offer us recommendation for drinks and appetizer. She offered us an off the menu lobster mac and cheese and it was delicious! I had Salmon with kimchi rice and it was divine. The Brunch menu food is amazing!!! My family and I came here on Sunday and we all enjoyed our food. They even have bottomless Mimosas for a good price. We had the crunchy spiced French toast that is a good mix of savory bacon on top and sweet syrup. My brother and niece had the chicken and waffles. I will definitely have that next time because the chicken is so moist and tasty then the waffle is super fluffy. That is best chicken and waffles I've had! I love Unit B! It's my partner's date night spot of choice. The servers are amazing, they are really nice and helpful when it comes to being a little more daring and trying something new. Our favorite cocktail is the aromatic apologies because the serves comes with a torch to the table and sets the rosemary on fire to boost the aromas. It's delicious and great for a video ;) My other favorites on the menu are the N.Y.C Summertime and Fuego y Pasión. For food I'd say anything I've eaten there has been good! Service was amazing and friendly. Oysters had special on Tuesday but I forgot the specification. Basically about $1-3 depending on type. I wasn't crazy about the mignonette sauce on the raw oysters so maybe ask for it on the side because it comes with it on the oysters. They also came out at the very end even though it was the first thing we ordered. Everything we tried was pretty good, some better than others. I have been wanting to come to Unit B for years as it has always been highly recommended. I have followed them on the socials and the plates and drinks always looked so delicious and artistic. Last night I was finally able to visit and we were so incredibly disappointed in every way, from start to finish. Since we walked in it was an odd setup, no hostess stand or greeter at the door. We sort of just looked lost until someone approached us, bad first impression. Fail 1 I want to begin by saying the decor was very nice, it looks exactly like the kind of place I'd love to go and enjoy drinks often but after the experience we had I highly doubt we would be back. We were offered their normal menu and a special menu from an event they had the night before. We were told raw oysters were not available as their deliveries are Tuesdays but they still had baked oysters. How is that possible, this was confusing. I ordered a signature Unit B old fashioned, expecting it to be made the correct way with a single block of ice, instead was served with ice you would buy at a gas station. I was given an excuse about the freezer or something not working but the table next to me whom arrived after us were served the correct cubes. I understand things happen but I would have liked to have been told of this issue before being served my drink. I would have ordered something else. Fail 2 We decided to order 2 appetizers and share an entree. We ordered whipped Ricotta and an order of the focaccia with some sort of fancy butter. The "ricotta" seemed like a block of soft cream cheese with Smuckers preserves on top, with a side of almonds and butter soaked toast. Seemed like something my grandmother would whip up after school, very strange. Later the focaccia arrived, it was not focaccia but the exact toast from the ricotta. Not impressed at all. The server should have suggested a different choice as ultimately they were both almost the same thing. Fail 3 I asked for another drink, and mentioned if the ice issue wasn't remedied I did not want an old fashioned. The issue wasn't remedied but I was not offered another option. We ordered the lamb to share as our entree from the special menu. We were never asked how we wanted it cooked. We were given a rib eye for 2 instead. When we questioned the server she said we must have made a mistake, nope we pointed to the special menu. Bogus excuse when it was obvious they had made a mistake. We had to wait longer for the correct entree to be made. Fail 4 We were then ignored for quite awhile as they fixed the mistake. A manager came over and asked how we were and I told him our experience wasn't great. His excuse was they were short staffed and walked away without giving us any type of real solution or apology. Fail 5 We were finally given our entree and given a better apology for the inadequacies. The lamb presentation was nice but it was average to say the least and overcooked. Fail 6 We ordered a deconstructed creme brûlée that had so much going on, Flowers, jams, sauces, custards, rose "essence" nothing was explained and it tasted awful. The consistency was completely off and the flavors were not there either. We could not even finish it. Nothing like a traditional creme brûlée. Fail 7 I understand that the restaurant biz is struggling due to lack of staff. Everyone seemed to have multiple jobs, The hostess was serving, manager cleaning tables, waiters making drinks but if they are short staffed EVERY table should not be filled. The restaurant was packed, if you cant offer a complete dinning experience then don't fill the restaurant. The plates try too hard, and it seems like staff is not trained in explaining or creating the culinary experience the restaurant owners were hoping for, which is a let down. As an artist I truly appreciate culinary arts as an art form but Unit B missed that mark entirely. When the bill arrived nothing was taken off or discounted, considering so many things went wrong. We did not expect it but figured they would have somehow tried making things right. Nothing. We paid the bill, tipped 20% despite the ridiculous night and left probably never to return again. I never, ever complain but this night was a disaster and such a shame because we were so looking forward to a night out. read more

Drink menu was somewhat the same, 2 of the cocktails I ordered were good but just missed the mark but I moved on and the 3rd hit the spot perfectly, ended up having two of those. So be prepared to experiment and try things a bit off the normal gastro-pub/ cocktail list.
