They are able to accommodate small and large parties, alone, with plenty of street parking, conveniently around the restaurant. I thoroughly enjoy the dim sum menu, as well as the regular entrées as well. Some of my favorites include the sticky rice shumai, golden rings, and all their stirfried noodle dishes. The food is not overly salty, nor greasy, yet very flavorful in each dish. I also recommend the Jazmine hot tea with your meal. This is my second time here and so far there has been nothing I haven't liked. The food is fresh and delicious (only minor complaint is that it could have been hotter temperature-wise) There is such a wide variety of options that we ordinarily wouldn't get to try at a non-kosher restaurant. Every time I'm in Philly, since 2020, I always come here and try different items. This is the first time that I actually found great dishes. My preference is for vegetables and tofu vs the faux meats. In the past the items I ordered were recommendations by servers and it really bugged me that they would say, "this item is popular" and did this mean the servers themselves don't like the food? Anyway, these are the ones I would recommend: Chef's Specialty #24 lions mane: good flavor but a bit too chewy but you won't find these dish anywhere else. The salad that comes with it - avocado tofu wood ear mushrooms- has a good flavor and that's all i can tell you because for the life of me I can't remember as I didn't take notes. Chef's Specialty As You Wish: fried tofu ski with stuff inside and greens (they didn't have the pea leaves so Bok choy was my substitute) - very good savory flavor, not Westernized at all. Steamed pork buns: I ordered these for someone non-veg and the bun to meat ratio is 2:1 (I think see photo) and it needs to be 1.5:1 or 1:1 personal preference but it was pretty good, faux meat and all. Potato croquettes: it's okay, I was expecting baked or fried mashed potatoes but when I bit into it it left em hanging. They mixed something into it like rice flour or something. Not a bad flavor but o wanted potatoes. Taro croquettes in sweet and sour sauce: hmmm not a fan for this as a meal. There's no protein. Perhaps as an appetizer it's good but with rice, this is not a complete meal. Always mention no garlic no onion just to make sure note to self. Definitely will need to try things one by one as I only have one mouth and one stomach and can't try many things at the same time. I wish I had more time to try more of the menu here. Everything I did try was amazing! The server was really friendly and the staff checked in with me a couple times to see how I was doing. It was a little empty at first because I got there like 10 minutes after opening but it filled quickly. It had a nice mix of classy and casual. We stopped by here on our way to lantern frst. This place was introduced to us by out friend who's a vegetarian. They can make food without garlic and onion. This Place is easy to find, parking is a bit harder to fine but there is a parking garage that you can park in and it is pretty close to the restaurant. Place is not busy so you get seated and greeted right away. We ordered our food and the food comes right away. Everything was seasoned right and comes out hot and delicious. A must try is the Vegan peking duck. It was crispy and plenty to share. We order all this food along with 4 more dishes and the total came out to be $131 which is REALLY GOOD and reasonable for delicious and vegan food. Also recommending the green beans as it is so good, it's crunchy, seasoned perfect, and also not as oily and soggy as other places i've eaten at. Ambiance was quiet. Came back less than two weeks later because I can't get enough of vegan dim sum! This time we had the same repeats as last time, just as good - with a few new items. We tried the fried sesame balls and the fried taro cakes. The fried taro cakes were fantastic, lovely fried texture and not overly oily or greasy. I also loved the veggie roast pork bun. I always wanted to try this place and glad I finally went. The place is pretty spacious, servers are attentive and friendly. We ordered steamed veg dumplings, braised lion's head (veg meatballs), and a plate of black mushrooms, bok choy, and asparagus. We enjoyed all the dishes, I especially loved the assorted veg plates. Came here for a late lunch/early dinner, so it wasn't crowded at all, and we were seated right away comfortably and our servers were super attentive and helpful. I appreciate that items that are vegan and gluten-free are clearly marked as such on the menu, making it easier to make decisions about what to get. I got to try the Mapo Tofu which had a nice deep, almost smoky flavor. A little spicy with a slow burn. Went really well with the brown rice I asked to get with it. I also got the Tofu Skin Braised with Two Kinds of Mushroom ... oh my goodness, so incredibly flavorful with the richness from the mushrooms. I wanted to drink the sauce as a soup. All of that flavor had marinated into the tofu skin, which was also slightly chewy for the perfect texture. My meat-eating companions found their food enjoyable, too, which is always a plus. If I'd come with a larger group, I'd have loved to try some of their other dishes. Omgsh! Came here for a girl's night dinner and it did not disappoint!! I think we ordered half the menu All of the food was DIVINE and the fact it's BYOB was *chef's kiss* perfection. The service was incredible and allowed us to yap and gab on our rainy evening out. Inside it was clean and spacious considering the size of the restaurant. We ordered the following to share: Char Siu Baos - These were good! I would order them again. Siu Mai - They were not bad. I have had better ones. Har Gow - These were my favorite. Great vegetarian/vegan option near the museums. We ended up having the lo mein, kung pao, and a couple of dim sum options. All food was above-average for vegetarian fare, would recommend to friends that are seeking that option in Philadelphia. The only abnormal item we got was the rice paper rolls with bean sprouts - they were cooked and warm, which was interesting in terms to temperature and texture with rice paper, not sure I would seek that out again. Yesterday, a friend and I went to this restaurant to eat. We ordered an appetizer,entrees and dessert. Before we finished our meal, the hostess came to our table, interrupted our conversation, and in full view and ear shot of other patrons, told us that we needed to pay CASH for our meal. No other table in the restaurant was given this speech. The small money folder given us to insert the cash had the "Discover" logo on the front and as I was leaving, I noticed a clear statement of the accepted means of payment: google play, visa, and American Express. However, to not further aggregate the situation with a hostile but well deserved rebuttal, my friend complied. The next day, I called to ask if they accepted credit cards. The answer was, "yes". We are two African American senior citizens in our 70s who are quite tired of this type of blatant discrimination! They're vegetarian and I'm omni but we both often find ourselves craving USV and happpily go to order our favorites and share something new off the menu. I think next time, I'll have to bring a huge group in order to try everything, because I'm sure it's all good. They've got milk teas and fruit smoothies, too, and the texture of the boba in the milk tea I got was perfect. Quick notes on the food: -get the peking duck. This is the best vegetarian version of it I've eaten, and it's really pretty good! The soft warm buns are excellent, the duck is a bit tough on the outside instead of crispy but the overall mouthfeel is like a less-greasy (healthier!) duck -the sizzling tofu was just okay. The place was packed when we got there at 7:30 on a Monday night, and we were seated quickly and got menus right away. The menu is huge and about 90% of the items are vegan. The menu is clearly marked and the dim sum selection was huge. The appetizers were delicious. We tried a few new things and enjoyed them immensely. Fresh and full of flavor, there was no need to worry about bland vegan food. The entrees were amazing. The Peking Duck reminded me of when I made the real thing myself years ago. The vegan version mimicked the crux my skin and tender meat, and the plum sauce and veggies in a bao bun wrap were fantastic. The roll was filled with delicious mushrooms and equally tasty.
