Service people were helpful but answered questions just enough. The showroom salesman, Shaun seemed uninterested. I was in showroom sales for a small lawn equipment products company ,having Snapper, Ariens, Poulan etc. I always inquired of the needs of the customer and tried to find the proper solution, and if there were concerns I would try to make suggestions. When I was there a few years ago there was a salesman who was excellent and that is why I was going to go to a John Deere product rather than Kubota. Not now. The blade on my chainsaw got stuck in a tree. I managed to pull it out but the chain was still stuck in the tree. When I finally fell the tree the chainsaw swung up against the tree and smashed up the plastic a bit. Ruined the trigger and gas tank as well as a few other things. Engine and blade were still good. I decided this was lost likely a repair. I brought it to an official Husqvarna repair place that i had used once before unsuccessfully, had a backpack blower repaired unsuccessfully. Entered store and go to repair desk. Told them what happened and asked if they could look it over. They said I have to pay to have it looked at. I said I would do that but you're not going to come back with a price that's the same exact as a new one or more. The girl at the counter said no. I paid the $50 and left the store. Three or four days later I got an email with the quote. I called immediately because it was $2 short of a brand new one. At the time Amazon has this chainsaw for $260 brand new. Several days later I got a phone call back. I told them that the price was a bit much and asked if they could help me out on labor or parts because there was most certainly parts that could be re-used and also I'm giving them business again whereas I could have and should have gone anywhere else. About a week I get a phone call saying that they talked to the repair guy and they can't make any adjustment on price. I asked to talk to a manager but the manager wasn't going to be around for awhile I guess because it took a whole week to go by before I heard back from 146 supply. The woman on the phone told me she talked to the manager and they couldn't do anything on labor even though as a manager of a store, of course he could. They said they could reuse some parts maybe. I talked to this woman for a little bit but she kept going silent on the phone and I would have to repeat my questions over again, this happened around three times. Very frustrating. This story is very accurate and fresh because I've told it to so many people since it's happened. I even suggested that I buy brand new from 146 supply and they apply the $50 I paid towards that purchase. This was suggested on an earlier phone call. They already had $50 of my money so I agreed to the rest. I gave them every opportunity to make things right. When I picked up the chainsaw I talked to them again and about labor and parts. They had not refused any parts and now the price was $3 shy of a new one. The guy cheerfully told me that they already took $50 off the total.... that's the $50 I already paid. I went outside and asked him to start it up for me so I could verify that it works. The man stared at me until I took it and started it up. I told them that would be the last time I ever went there. Next time I'll stick to my local guy in West Boylston. Better to support people who want your business. Chainsaw is now $230 on Amazon. So buyer beware at 146 supply. read more

Recently purchased a new John Deere 1025 r compact tractor. However when it was delivered I discovered both rear and under neath PTO gears severely rusted. Same as the serial number plate. I do not believe they sold me a new tractor. But instead I got a leftover one. The steering column shaft was also rusted. They did replace the steering column shaft plus clean the PTO under neath tractor. However, when I buy something new I want to feel it was new. I highly recommend going over any purchases from this store with critical examination. Once you take delivery, too late. read more

I'm new to snow blowing. I inherited a used snow blower and decided I should obey the sticker instruction that was on it from 146 - "check oil often and KEEP IT CLEAN". I went into 146 Supply and the amazing staff there walked me through how to change the oil, provided advice on use of gas stabilizer, and taught me how to replace shear pins in the event that they break. The fellow that helped me demonstrated exactly what I needed to do and was patient with my questions. He was complementary that I was going to perform routine maintenance and encouraged me to call or come in with any additional questions in the future. I went home and successfully changed the oil! We bought a John Deere snowblower from 146 Supply over 20 years ago. It has been a very reliable product for us, and we got it serviced regularly at 146 Supply. We were always happy with the service they performed on our snowblower. We needed to squeeze one more winter out of the snowblower, and Kim LeBlanc worked with us to identify only the work that was absolutely required to make this happen. When we had an issue with the unit during the first snow storm, Kim arranged for pick-up, repair, and delivery, at no additional cost to us. She really stood behind the work that they do. Today I tried to use my Scotts tractor snow blower after about 10 minutes, I blew the drive belt.. I called the store and spoke with Billy Marquette. He told me that they did not have power or computers... But, he took my order for a new belt. And, he further offered to bring me the belt to my home... Later, I told him that I was able to free my car from the snow and could drive there. Instead, he offered to meet me about half way, which we did... Don't go look for another John Deere Dealership. They are quick to charge you but slow to honor warranties. I sent my tractor in for service which I bought with them for a tune up. I also asked them to fix the gas gauge. The gauge was under warranty. They found all these things wrong with the tractor and the bill went from $ 220 to $ 650. On top of that the gas gauge which was suppose to be done free was never fixed. I was told these things never work and are inaccurate. I refused to pay or pick it up. Also the service manager was rude in follow up phone call. After a week they called me, somehow they managed to fix the gas gauge. They are quick to charge you but slow to honor any warranties. read more

Do not go here. Ever, ever, ever. Charge $40+ for pick up and drop off, the next closest quote I got was $25. They charge $120 diagnostic fee to look at the tractor which was never communicated to me on the phone or through email until after. Honestly considered disputing this charge with my credit card as it was never communicated or anywhere to be found on their website but wasn't worth my time. They then told me the tractor would be $1300 to repair. I brought to a local repair person who gave me a quote of $450. Save your money and your time and start with someone local if you need repairs on your John Deere tractor. Absolutely horrible experience dealing with this company. read more

Do not let them touch your chainsaw blades. Had a few sharpened and when I got them back the teeth were all black from excessive heat, metal was curling up on the ends, and they were ground all the way back to the chisel which indicates the tooth is worn out and they should not have sharpened it. I guess anything to make $8.00. Needless to say I will not buy anything from these people let alone allow them to touch any of my equipment. Tractor Supply next door has competitive pricing on chains and I think they also sharpen. Lastly I never got a call these were ready, minor point but when they blab about customer service I guess it only extends to certain customers. read more

The service team is awesome! We brought in a push lawnmower purchased at Home Depot. The service rep suggested we try a couple of inexpensive things at home before leaving it for a diagnostic fee. Although those things didn't work, the suggestions were much appreciated, and ensured us that their goal was to provide excellent and honest customer service and not just to jack up our cost for their gain. Before repairing the problem, they actually offered to submit our warranty information for us (that either we or Home Depot failed to do at the time of purchase). This saved us most of the cost of the repair. We plan on upgrading our ride-on lawnmower and are definitely going to purchase our new one from 146 Supply Center based on our experience with them. Everyone we encountered was professional and courteous, and their repair service team was outstanding. read more

After waiting weeks to have my free switch over from snow thrower to cutting deck for purchasing a new machine, i wait up in the morning( I work nights) to the point that im up for 20 hours. I call, not you, to see whats going on, i get told im the next stop. Yhen i get called within 5 minutes and im told the service person bumprd me to the last slot. Now i have to cancel a board meeting so i can get some sleep before work and i canceled my service. My lawn looks like a hayfield. Thank for nothing. The parts person told me foundered does not sell that part and I would have to replace the chute at a cost of about one hundred dollars. I left and called another dealer who said yes he had the part for 5 dollars no problem. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE OUT TO PUT IT TO YOU. read more

I brought my tractor that has just over 100 hours into 146 Supply for a tune up. They charged $75 to tell me I needed new spindles, blades and carburetor. I had just replaced the spindles and blades. They wanted me to spend over $1000 to fix it and at that price they suggested a new tractor. I brought the machine to another repair shop and they had it running for $134. I feel that 146 Supply was trying to take advantage of me. I would never trust them again. read more

Avoid this place like the plague! I went to the store and told them that I needed a fuel shut off solenoid for a Scotts S1642 Mower. The counter person looked it up and brought out a solenoid that was not the same as the one on the mower. He said this is what was in the computer. I showed him a photo of the solenoid that I had on my phone and again he said this was what was on the computer and that maybe someone had changed the original during service. I mistakenly thought that he would know more than I and bought this solenoid for $97.55. They are $39.95 on the Kohler web site. When I tried to install the new solenoid, I realized that the electrical connector was incompatible with the wiring on the mower. When it tried to return it, the same counter person again looked it up and told me that this was what was on his computer and there were instructions on adapting the electrical connector to be compatible with the wiring on the mower, and I could not return it as it was an electrical part. After looking this solenoid up on the Kohler web site, I found that there should have been a pigtail in the package for the new connection that was missing. Now I am out $100 and have a part that I cannot use. Again, avoid this store. Bad business model. What happened to "the customer is always right"? read more

I don't write many Yelp reviews but I am compelled to write about a recent experience I had with the Parts/Service department from 146 Supply. My snowthrower that I purchased for my Deere tractor from this dealer 7 years ago broke when the paper delivery person left a Sunday paper that got buried in the snow (sure enough, I ran it over and it broke one of the sheer pins on the impeller). I placed an order to replace the sheer pin as quickly as I could, but unfortunately, the Parts department received the wrong type of pin from John Deere (this was probably an error on the part of John Deere Corporate because the impeller sheer pins are different from the augur sheer pins on my unit). So I called up the Parts Department and explained that the pins were not of the right type, and they resolved to fix the issue and placed another order which they said they'd hopefully get the next morning. They called the next morning and, sure enough, the pins were delivered overnight so I could pick them up in anticipation of the next night's storm (it's been a rough winter in New England). But I wasn't able to pick them up due to my son's basketball practice - and 146 Supply is about 45 minutes from where I live. No matter, the guy in the Parts department said that he would drop them off on his way home from work (closing at noon on Saturday). My home in Metrowest is not exactly on his way home, but he brought them to my house nonetheless. When he arrived at my house, he went to put them in the mailbox, but he saw me in the driveway working on my tractor. I asked him for a quick bit of guidance so that I could get this repair completed. And here is why I'm writing this review. Instead of just giving me the pins and taking off, the guy stayed with me, outside in the freezing cold, for about an hour until we (really....he!) got my unit fixed. He even had to place a call to one of his repair guys with a question, which he did, even though both were off work at this point. The snow fell that night and I was able to plow out the next morning. I can't say enough about this experience because I'm not a commercial customer, just a residential customer, and 146 Supply went above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. I offered the guy a bottle of wine for his troubles but he just went along home. He didn't have to help me out the way he did, so suffice to say, I greatly appreciated it! read more
