I wanted a nice cabernet sauvignon and he pointed me in the right direction. Wines are divided by type, and prices are prominently displayed. Some bottles are accompanied by tags of special recommendation, complete with tasting notes for shortcut shopping (my choice, a Sterling Vineyard 2004 going for $29.99 - quick internet search says this is more or less a standard price - was fruity and would pair with most cheeses and strong lamb and beef flavors). This isn't a destination shop by any means, but it's got a reasonable selection of alcohol (besides wine, they carry plenty of beer and all your standard liquors) and a friendly if meager staff. Also, I noticed organic fruit in there today so if they start carrying that daily, superb addition.
