Cal Coast Window & Door

Cal Coast Window & Door

We recently had eight windows and a sliding door installed by Cal Coast Window and Door, and the…read moreentire experience was outstanding from start to finish. Chris did an excellent job guiding the project and making sure everything went smoothly throughout the process. The installation crew (Manny and Omar) were absolutely amazing, professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and incredibly clean. They worked hard, respected our home, and left everything spotless when the job was complete. If you're looking for a company that provides great communication, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service, I highly recommend Cal Coast Window and Door.

I highly recommend Cal Coast Window and Door…read more Earlier this year the glass on one side of the dual-paned, oversized sliding door to our patio completely cracked and crackled. Luckily it stayed in the frame. We had been considering replacing the door, along with all the windows, anyway since they were original to the house, built in 1990. After researching window replacement companies in the area we decided to go with Cal Coast Window and Door. Not only were the YELP reviews mostly 5 star, they have an A+ BBB rating with no unresolved complaints. Dan Caraballo was our sales and contract person, and ensured the entire process went smoothly. He thoroughly explained both window installation processes (new construction and replacement); type of glass and the energy efficiency; suggested manufacturers for the design we wanted; explained the warranties (lifetime for workmanship and product); estimated the manufacturing (usually 6-8 weeks) and installation (up to 2 weeks to schedule and 2 days to install) timelines, and answered all our questions. Even though we had the house painted and most of the trim replaced last year, we went with new construction and a Milgard V300 Trinsic door as recommended because it met all our needs, the track was shot on our old one, and the warranty was great on the new one. The week after the contract was signed, Gary with Cal Coast came out to certify the door measurements and have me choose the interior and exterior door trim. Four weeks later our door was installed. Manny and Omar, the installation team, completed the job in one day. They were terrific! They were friendly and professional, their workmanship was beautiful and precise, and they left the work area clean when the job was done. It's been almost 2 months since our new door was installed and we love it. It's amazing the difference that modern energy efficient glass makes over our old dual-paned door, and it's so much easier to open and close. We are definitely going to move forward and replace all the windows, however, since our window frames are in good shape we're going to get replacement windows so we can leave the existing trim and frames intact. Cal Coast is definitely the company we'll use.

Well my 95 pound German shepherd crashed through one screen once but that is not Phantom Screen's fault. So today I added 2 more. I got so tired of one traditional screen door that had to be repaired frequently which involved borrowing a truck and dropping it off several miles away. Then borrowing the truck again to pick it up. Finally I realized I had two doors that could use a Phantom Screen and Screens of Northern California was still at the same address so I sent out an e mail. And everything moved quickly. The design is different but the company's responsiveness and quality of work remains stellar. I will miss the push/pull to release the magnets of the original screen door. It is a pretty effective bad guy deterrent at the door to my garage along with another big German Shepherd sleeping at the inside enjoying the breeze! But the new doors' release is welcome at the new locations. And the installer threw in a can of silicone spray. I'd say the only drawback is the screen door seems to be a magnet for dog hair. JK. Great solid company doing continued good work, thank you!

I was referred to screens of northern California with high praise from Screen Kings. They more than lived up to their reputation, and we now have a beautiful retractable screen door that latches. Price was reasonable and they were easy to work with. I recommend them highly!

After a frustrating experience ordering a sliding door from Home Depot, I found Dolan's Lumber,…read moreWindows and Doors. From the start, their customer service was outstanding. They responded quickly to my inquiry and every follow up email I sent. Brian went above and beyond to help me, and even shared my situation with Milgard. He was also very knowledgeable and recommended upgrading the screen door for the slider since the standard one can feel a bit cheap, and suggested upgrading the glass to help with temperature regulation. He also gave me a quote for the exact door I originally ordered from Home Depot, in case I didn't want to upgrade anything. I really appreciated the time he spent helping me, especially since it was just one slider door. Excellent customer service. They definitely have my business going forward. Highly recommend!

In both instances, there were multiple employees working at the front desk area on their computers. While they may have been busy, no one acknowledged or greeted us when we walked in. Even a simple "Hi, we'll be with you shortly" would have gone a long way. My wife spent about 10 minutes browsing the showroom during one visit and we still were not approached. We ultimately left both times without speaking to anyone. We understand that some showrooms operate by appointment, and if that is the standard protocol, that is perfectly fine. However, a quick greeting, asking whether we had an appointment, or offering to schedule one would have created a very different experience. We did not have this issue at Golden State Lumber or Ashby Lumber, where we were promptly acknowledged and assisted. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we will be moving forward elsewhere.
