Shoutout to Maria! She's very helpful and truly how a person should be in a customer facing position. I've rarely had a good experience with USPS - it's a Federal job and employees seem to just work there for the benefits and dislike their job. We had an issue with our PO Box that we've had for 2 years. My wife and I are both listed on the PO Box, but a recent delivery addressed to my wife's name was undeliverable. When we arrived, the front desk person Maria was very helpful and knew exactly what the issue was. She made sure the our PO Box was updated so we will never have this issue again in the future (seem to be an oversight when we signed up a year ago). PSA: When signing up for a PO Box, make sure all names that you have on the application are actually printed out by the person taking your application so there's no issues in future deliveries. read more

They're so mean and give you a tough time about everything. Anytime I have taken a package to mail out, my local USPS office (not this one) will tape it up for me, without charge. They made me purchase tape here. When I tried to use someone else, they said that I couldn't do that because they purchased "priority" tape. This post office has a self-service kiosk to ship small packages and envelope shipper, which should be functional when the lobby is closed. You buy the postage from the kiosk then you put the package in the mail box which should secure your packages. This post office has the package drop box on the wall. You open it to put your package in, then it slides down and goes behind the wall to the other side of the wall is the postal worker area, which is secured. Unfortunately, it has been out of service for like 2 years!! Which defeats the purpose of having a self-service kiosk! Because you cannot drop off your package in a secure area. Come on! Fix the dropbox already it's been two years !! it just so happens, Another person came in with a package to drop off, but he cannot drop it off because the drop off door on the wall , has been out of order for two years! If this business was not owned by the government, it would have gone out of business being managed like this. it is not made to serve the public. This, errand should only take me 20 minutes. I got lucky and was able to get an appt for Gavin. Have all of your documents ready: - form (I printed the form and hand wrote one just in case) - original birth certificate - copy of the birth certificate - copy of your license or passport (legal guardian or parent) - original license or passport - bring a photo or have them take the picture ($15 fee) - bring a checkbook or money order Pay the processing and picture fee at the front (can use debit, cash, or credit card). The passport fee needs to have a paper trail. They accept walk-ins. I overheard people stand in line at 6AM so if you are the 5th person in line, don't bother waiting. After we were called promptly a little before our appt, everything took less than 15 min. Our Disney cruise isn't until October and we technically do not need a passport going to Mexico but I want to have it handy in case we go to Vietnam. It was such a seamless process. The woman that took care of us was friendly, thorough, and easygoing. She was great! Now to wait 10-13 weeks for his passport to arrive. read more

I am done with our mailman. The guy is generally rude and unpleasant. My neighbors and I have discussed this on many occasions. We have two fourplexes that face one another. Each has two upstairs apartments. Any time a package has to go upstairs this mailman leaves the package at one of the downstairs apartments. Those of us that live upstairs are constantly having to look around to figure out where our USPS packages are. I have encountered him and exchanged pleasantries with him before, and during those instances he speaks English and understands me just fine. But, the minute I politely asked him to take my package upstairs rather than leaving it at my downstairs neighbors house he suddenly didn't understand me. He threw out his arms, cocked his head to the side and gave me a quizzical look like he didn't understand. Then, as I was still speaking, he turned and walked away. Today I heard a noise that sounded like a two way radio (I am expecting a package from UPS), so I looked over my railing just in time to watch our mailman literally chuck my neighbor's package across her patio (about 3'-4') toward her door. He could have just set it down in front of her gate, but nope, he threw it. Are you kidding me?? This is how they handle our packages?? I called the Campbell Heritage Post Office to file a complaint because I am sick of this rude jerk. Apparently that was not the right office for me. They gave me another number. Every time, after about 20 rings, it would just hang up on me. I tried to get through on the number I was given for about 40 minutes, and I just kept getting hung up on. So, I filed a complaint online via USPS not only about the mailman, but about the lack of service at this particular post office. I have been passing by this post office all my life every time I am in the area. Turns out this is a very good post office. I must say it's a very convenient location to do mail business if I am at the local Safeway or are driving towards the Home Depot area. I love the location because it's accessible by all forms of road transport. I have seen people take the bus here, drop off the parcels or letter than ride the bus back home. If you are dropping off letters please note that there is only one slot and two other outdoor drop locations. I don't see why this place is troublesome but I am missing out on a lot of time just because I drove the extra miles to get to my local post office. There is also a change of staff here that is a lot more friendlier than I expect. Drawback: be sure to drive carefully because this is a muddled place to drive and park. read more

This place is terrible and the service is slower than the DMV. The heavy set male cashier who works the middle register does a terrible job. I just came in to drop off packages with prepaid postage. After waiting in a short line for about 10 minutes, it was finally my turn. I kindly asked the heavy set clerk, to scan my packages. He tries to explain that I don't even need to wait in line and I should just leave my packages on the counter and they'll be scanned later in the day. This is lazy and very unprofessional on this heavy set clerk. I don't want to leave my packages without an acceptance scan as it can lead to many problems. He's an arrogant prick and it's obvious he hates his job. I hope his boss doesn't review his performance because he might lose his job. For a federal business, this place sucks! & watch out, they are overcharging for shipping fees so always check your receipts! read more

I was a little nervous because the reviews on here are pretty bad, but the lady helping me was so nice and so quick and it wasn't complicated at all. Everybody was really nice and she even let me go ahead because the person in front of me didn't show up for their appointment. I'd recommend going here if you have an appointment. read more

5 packages lost in 6 months unbelievable mail carrier keeps marking them as delivered

Yesterday, I went to the USPS located in W. Hamilton. When I entered, there was only one person being attended. Out of the 4 people working there, only one person was attending a customer. I told them I needed to be fingerprinted. They called out a male's name and said "Another customer for you. You are very popular today!" The worker came and I said "I see you are popular today with fingerprinting. " His replied was "Not really. I am getting training in the machine and today I only had a customer before you." An hour earlier, I had had my fingerprints taken at another location. I wish the two agencies that required my fingerprints had allowed the same fingerprinting location to do both sets of fingerprints but they did not. I had to travel half an hour to get to the second location (W. Hamilton USPS) to get the second fingerprint done. The post worker in training was having issues with the machine. Since I had had one previously done, I was a bit aware of the process. He was not cleaning the screen. He did not offer any solution to clean my fingertips. He was not touching my fingers to place them right. When I mentioned those things, he got a dry rag (not a screen wipe) and told me he did not know what liquid I was referring to. He started to barely touch my fingers. He called a colleague to help him. She came and told him to try again, and again. She did not touched the machine at all. Then, very brusquely, she told me they could only do 5 times try and then I had to leave. There was no customers at the location at that time. I asked them to show me a written document that said that they could only try 5 times (especially when the person doing the fingerprints was in training!). I explained that I had travelled 30 minutes to get to that location and to please, try again since we were close to getting all the fingers in the green area. The said to call a number or their supervisor. At that time, one customer came to do fingerprints. There was no other customer. The supervisor (he acted like he was) asked me to step aside. Again, I pleaded to please, try again because I had traveled 30 minutes and he was in training. The supervisor became very rude and told me it was not fair for the (only) customer behind to wait. I said it was not fair and if I could restart once the customer was done. He said not and asked me to leave. His voice was rude and loud. I was pleading with him. He basically yelled at me to leave. I am a 65 years old senior lady. I was dressed very nicely wearing a new and beautiful dress. Nothing on my persona indicated to this post officer workers that I was destitute, an addict, a criminal... And yet, they treated me like I was all of the above. There is no kindness or respect for customers in this office. I went to the USPS office located in Kiely and what a difference! The office was PACKED with customers. Yet, I was treated with dignity and KINDNESS. The person who did my fingerprints was having the same issues as previously BUT he was inputed things in the machine. Every time he took my fingerprints, I legend will show on the screen and he will select something from it. He was polite, courteous, and a gentleman. The worker in the W. Hamilton location NEVER selected anything from the screen. He did not know what he was doing and the female helping him was not better. It only takes kindness to do good public service. I wonder, if the manager's mother had been in my position... Would have him treated her the same way? Kindness goes a long way. read more

I have not been getting my mail at home since OCTOBER. I have called and personally shown up to the post office over 5 times trying to straighten it out. the postal workers were uneducated to untrained to know how to solve the problem so I asked to speak with the postmaster. The "gentleman" in the picture refused to give me the number of the postmaster so I can take the problem to the next level. I asked him if he is actually refusing to let me speak with his superiors and he said no, flipped me the finger. I got my phone and took a picture and he assaulted me by hitting my hand and knocking the phone to the floor. This person needs to be relieved of his position. Jerome waited on me. He was every inch the gentleman. Professional, polite, and apologetic about the short wait. I told him I had seen him deal with a very difficult customer a few months back. I told him that he had responded as politely as one could given the obnoxious behavior of the customer. I told him I had thought about writing a Yelp review at the time of the surly customer incident but did not know his name (Jerome's). I am writing this complain about the postal worker Celina(clerk 13). Celina was the postal worker who assisted me today 5/28/2024 @ 149pm . After waiting my turn in line and before I got to the her window she immediately ignored me and asked the gentleman, who was standing in line behind me, if she could help him. The nice gentleman informed Celina that I was first and ahead of him in the line. After the gentleman behind me made the statement she then told me I could now come to her window. I asked her if she could weigh my envelope which contained a letter and single tea bag and give me the postage amount since it had a tea bag inside. Celina took the envelope from me and began pressing down firmly on the envelope seemly attempting to assess what was inside, then preceded to state I would be unable to send my envelope because of the tea bag inside and I would need to change the envelope to a package. That was fine. I then asked may I purchase stamps before I go. Celina then told me I could not purchase stamps then stated "you can not put them on your envelope she stated. I replied I understand, I can't buy stamps? She replied not if you're putting on the envelope because it will be returned to sender. Now why do I need to justify my reasons for purchasing stamps. Next she offered unsolicited advice " you will be wasting your money " . I'm sorry I thought this was the US post office not my financial advisor?! She did however eventually sold me the stamp when she saw I was on the verge of tears from she unprofessional behavior. If you don't look like a certain clientele that lives in this area please avoid Celina line. She DOES NOT treat all customers with respect. Update: I went to another post office on 51 E Campbell ave and was informed by the postal worker at the window that I could indeed mail a letter and single tea bag in a standard envelope, I just needed to add 2 additional stamps Somebody please reeducate Celina at the W Hamilton location. I came here to renew my passport. I was able to make an appointment online and when I arrived 10 minutes early I was seen 10 minutes early. I was able to get my photograph and the great thing was that the post office official notice that I really didn't need to make an appointment to submit my application and helped me do a mail in application and didn't charge me the service fee. Excellent service. I highly recommend this location for passports. I was in and out in 15 minutes which included the photo. read more

I came here after receiving a notice from my post man that my packages couldn't fit in the mailbox , so I made the trip out here where they were kept to be picked up. It was a bit of a weird run around with my packages being there and them saying they weren't there despite the clear instructions that they were. Thankfully, a second associate was able to locate the packages and help me out, but it was a bit stressful since there were time sensitive things that were necessary for my vacation! It worried me so much thinking that my packages would be returned back to the warehouse or, even worse, lost without tracking. My mind went to the worst places, especially with one member saying there was nothing there for me, but I'm grateful at a second look because it saved my vacation! Although it was a confusing situation, no one was impatient or trying to rush me out - they sincerely thought there was nothing left there for me. I appreciated how nice they were through the process and they seemed happy to help me find a solution to my issue. Post offices are some of the most stressful places for both sides , the customer and the associate, so I appreciate all the effort that goes in ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely. Overall, a confusing situation found a solution and I was so relieved. It wasn't too busy that day, and it was nice being able to get everything that hadn't fit. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have a lot of patience for poor customer service, it's a hard job and I doubt they are compensated generously for it. That being said, every employee I've interacted with at this location has been blatantly hostile, discriminatory, and antagonistic. If you can use the self service kiosk to complete your mailing needs, go for it. Otherwise the FedEx facility up the road is much more accommodating (they do print USPS labels for anyone wondering). read more

This place is a hot mess. But isn't that's kind of most post offices? I wish I could walk into just one where I didn't get a snarky or rude employee. I went to ship a few packages today, which in itself is a decent size monetary investment. When I walk in, the place is shockingly empty. No one in line before I got there, while I was there, or when I left. Maybe there's a reason for that.... I wrongly assumed that they would affix a label to my package with the address. I mean, they did...but I also needed to write the address separately. So I added that while at the counter. I then get a lecture about how I should have done it ahead of time and not at the counter. About how I should have stepped aside. Again, no one was waiting. What's the big deal? Also, it's Christmas, have a little Christmas spirit y'all. read more

This post office is a joke! The few employees there I'm sure do their best with the hand they're dealt. When I came here the line went to the end of the P.O. Boxes. I was wondering why it was taking so long by the time I got into the actual office part there was only 1 postal worker. I had 8 certified letters to send so I tried to fill out the form before I got to the window but there was absolutely ZERO pens. That aided in the huge hold up. I know the government cuts corners but this is ridiculous. The workers albeit stressed were very helpful. I hope something is done to help these postal workers and us customers moving forward. read more

What are all the bad reviews about? I go to this Post Office all the time and I never get bad service from anybody there and I know all the staff by now everybody there has been working at this post office for years and they know their stuff. I go here at least 3 times a week and I have zero problems. Just this week I mailed 3 packages and the service was excellent. They were friendly, courteous and helpful and I don't know why this place is a " hot mess " like another reviewer said. It seems to be OK to me. I have only ever had one bad instance at this post office and it happened to be with my mail carrier himself but it was resolved. Overall I think the Campbell Post Office does a great job delivering my mail and they do a great job as does my mailman! I think people have a problem and they are too quick to rip into people and that's pretty messed up so just take it easy and give things a chance to get resolved! read more
