I can see why this post office has low reviews and low customers. The other post office and even ups stores I've been to are much nicer and informative. I am not one to mail stuff usually so I obviously dont know much. In other places if I just need a small piece of tape and they gave it to me without trying to sell me a whole piece of roll. She also said I need to buy a bag lol when my stuff was already in a bag. Thats what made me confused. I guess she means a bigger bag or sturdier bag? Indian lady here (about age 50-60) told me I had no option to pay cash. Handed her $5 bill to pay for my metered postage, said she couldn't take it. Forced to pay card. Now ONLY AFTER paying with a card, she told me that I could've paid cash and that I was just making her job easier. Postage is only 75¢ but I shouldn't have to pull a credit card out because this lady didn't wanna make me change for $5. $10 bill or anything larger I would understand but just thought it was completely unnecessary. Unfortunately this is the only crappy post office by my house. Guess she's gotta deal with me and vice versa. When my local post office closed, this became my new local postal office. It's much smaller and more tucked away which I think is a great perk as most people don't know about it and lines are much shorter than other locations, but there is still one giant issue that I have with this location. That issue is parking. This location is located in a perpetually busy shopping center that has parking spots that are incredibly narrow and people who are constantly zipping around doing everything they can to get the absolute best parking spot possible. Even when I park far away, I am finding myself having to squeeze my car in to a spot and just praying that either a car doesn't park next to me &/or that my car isn't dinged by someone trying to get out of their car. It's just not a convenient location. With that said, the employees who work here are fine. I wouldn't say they are overly welcoming or happy, but they're definitely better than other post office locations. They're patient and will absolutely help you get in and out as soon as possible. You can tell that at the least they are trying to keep the lines short and I'm all for that. So, I guess I'll be going to this location for the foreseeable future. However, I just know I always need to prep for a few minutes trying to find parking at that I am most likely going to have to park a little bit away and carry whatever I need to send out (or pick up) through a busy parking lot with people more concerned with parking than looking out for me walking by. read more

I stopped by this USPS office to drop of an Amazon return. I been to the plaza this USPS office is in so many times but never knew there was a USPS here. I found parking easily since this office is in a plaza with many parking spots. When I walked inside the post office, there was no one in line so I was able to walk up and hand my package since everything was paid for already. This US POST OFFICE branch in Granada Hills is GREAT! It is inside a large shopping center with free parking lot. The center is busy, though, because the stores in this center are great! If you're a mom who has one day to do errands, including dropping off your kid at the nearby Granada Hills HS or Heritage Preschool, this center is amazing because they have a nail salon, home goods store, TJ Maxx, Nothing Bundt Cakes, pet supplies store, Starbucks, Carter's children's clothing store. There is a supermarket and craft and office supply stores across the street. It is a very convenient location. Half the time I've been here, there are no lines to get service; on the other half, the lines are short and went by quickly. They do full service here too: Packages, PO Boxes, stamps, self-weigh-self-stamp machines, certified mail... OK, no passport, I forgot about that. If you aren't aware already, I just want to mention that those flat-rate packages are a GREAT deal: there is a flat rate for each size and whatever you can fit in the box will get shipped. Also... Even when they estimate 2-3 weeks delivery time, my family always gets theirs tuff within the week! read more

The postal workers mood vary, given this is the holiday season that I'm leaving a review on - I get it. It's always a hit or miss and they are working as fast as they can so it's understandable when they aren't as cheery as you'd like them to be. If you have pre paid labels, drop off it a breeze. You can leave it to the left of the counters in the bin or there's a receiving bin on the side walking past the entrance. There's also a kiosk there! Went in at 11:00 and there's a small line. I needed to get a box inspected because USPS trashed a shipment I received. After patiently waiting I'm told they won't inspect it. The postmaster at that location won't inspect damaged packages. The desk clerks won't inspect them either. I have to drive 10 miles to the post office in Van Nuys. I asked for a manager or the postmaster- not there. I looked at the letter I received and it says to go to my office. Not a hub. My post office. Getting to this one was 6 miles round trip that I wasn't thrilled about since I have no business or shopping to do. Would've gone to Sepulveda but they shut it down last month. It must be really difficult to look at the mangled box and broken contents. they're happy to inspect whatever you're shipping, but to look at what they did to your package is too difficult. read more

I have a PO Box so I'm here often to pick up my mail. Many times, I have heavy items delivered. Every time, these ladies. Alice and Xotchi(sp?) are super to get a cart for me and help me however they can. Always polite, willing to answer questions about how a particular package should be mailed. Even when people are crappy to them, they smile and continue to offer assistance. I couldn't do their job. The post office is always clean, parking is easy, supplies are available. I don't know if another bad review is going to make a different but the older lady with the purple hair is just horrible. I watched her be very condescending and belittling to customers in their 70s and older. It's horrible to be that disrespectful to people when they need help. Then she talks crap about the previous customer with the next one. Guess what? That makes everyone else wait longer. I'm younger and simply wanted to drop off a package with a prepaid label so I can get a receipt and she made it the most complicated thing. I drop off 12 packages the same morning and same time, the high dollar ticket item in a priority mail medium package has gone missing, not scanned, and still not showing in transit. All other 11 items ok. After going to the facility and complaining, hours of on the phone with district supervisor the facility supervisor calls me back saying they swept the building with no luck. She charge me for 1.1 ounce she said it weight. got home and everything that was in the letter and weight it again and it was under again. No one seems to know what's going on here. One staff member was actively helping customers. Two other staff members honestly seemed like they had no idea what they were doing, or were brand new. Line is out the door and they are basically bickering back and forth about how to most effectively unbox a box of boxes.... I know. Come to find out, after waiting in line for 15 minutes, if you have a prepaid label there's a big bin to drop it off. I see the bin, and get out line and ask loudly, "can prepaid packages go in here?"... I get a "yes". Why are they not asking customers if they are dropping off only like ALL OTHER POST OFFICE's DO!?!? If you have a prepaid label, don't wait in line. I gave this place too many chances and I'm over it. The first time, they lost a hundred dollars worth of merchandise after I dropped the package off INSIDE the store. I emailed them right away after I noticed that the package wasn't moving in the tracking site and I got a reply back saying that stuff like that just happens sometimes. Absolutely NOTHING was done. If I could give the customer service at this postal office 0 stars I would. I have never in my life felt more insulted. Needless to say this was my first package I've ever sent out and I had no idea what I was doing and the women behind the desk ( lady with no voice and the rude Asian with short dark hair) were of absolute no help telling me I need to read what's right in front of my eyes? Excuse me? Obviously I'm confused and asking questions for them to be explained and answered thoroughly. I understand today is Monday, nobody likes Mondays apparently. But haven't you ever heard of Morning Glory? Ok...work sucks? But smiling can turn your mood around instantly. Imagine walking into a bakery and the baker getting frustrated and mad about you ordering a cake! Nonsense. My experience today was SO terrible. People in the line yelling at me to go on with my day because they're waiting in line?
