after a year of reviewing this location again in regard to their home postal delivery. i have called on several times to keep INFORMING the managers that ANSWERED AFTER SEVERAL TRIED CALLS AND RINGING AT LENGHT THAT We keep getting mail at my home with a variety of different names and businesses! even though the family name is on the mail box plus inside the mail box and several other areas... the carriers still place other names in the box i have placed tapped notes on the lid to make sure. i have set up several security cameras and i noticed that the carriers just look at the address and place it in the box! one regular delivery is when we have a constant carrier and the reason the post office gives is that the replaced carrier is the cause! not acceptable! i have had my own mail delivered to other neighbors too! and missing bills! i have requested that when they sort the mail at the ofice to place customers name visible for that address! this will cut down on mis deliveries! frustrating is mounting! train to look if the names match the address and requirements should have each address post their names on each box inside and out! the people i talk to are apologetic and concerned the carriers should be more observant! a hard job that needs our compassion but constantly getting wrong mail or not receiving expected mail needs to be addressed now! I firmly believe that the departure of Mario he was making great headway in keeping mail going to whom it belongs but who ever replaced him seems that person does not have it under control plus inside the Post Office still has many poor reviews! Let's make 2026 that this location rises to a more acceptable level and replace whom ever with making this location BETTER! Time for CHANGE! read more

Try finding mail that is supposed to be delivered. The first thing said if you get through is "what's the tracking" knowing full well that if I had a tracking why would I call. If it's a federal crime to tamper with mail, why isn't it a crime to misplace and not find it? Woman claimed mail delivered every day- not mine- and not neighbors same day. So there is no getting to the bottom of an issue- just excuses to get off the phone. I guess some of the help is just going to be of lower quality and we have to adjust to the aggravation. No matter what day I try to go here, it's busy. Typically do not have a pleasant experience coming here. I had a very poor experience here today with one of the clerks working at the windows today. I went into the building today calm and pleasant, and came out incredibly escalated. I think it's really unfortunate that one can have such an unpleasant experience running a few tasks and interacting with a fellow human because of the attitude of that other person. I'd strongly recommend customer service and deescalation trainings for this one old, grey-haired long pony tailed woman. Basically I came in looking to see if I could find an important letter which had insurance information which needed to be submitted elsewhere. I knew it was a request which may not be possible if the letter was out for delivery, so I already understood that I may not receive what I wanted from the exchange and I was prepared to be okay with that. She hopped into the window and said she could help the next person (which was me). I explained to her my request, and she asked if I had a tracking number. While my husband was on the phone (since this was his important letter), he explained he didn't have a tracking number but an informed delivery email that said it was supposed to be delivered yesterday. Now, I just want to be clear that when she started repeating "We don't have it! It's out for delivery!" I am not disputing that AT ALL, but it was the way in which she spoke to me repeating this statement multiple times while I am asking her to hang on so I can hear what my husband is saying and also laughing (?) was very odd and disconcerting. I actually asked her: Why are you laughing at me? She threw up her hands laughing saying, "I am not laughing. We don't have it!" But I am not denying you don't have it. I am just making sure as a customer that I have done my due diligence to ask all the right questions and ensure that we have given all the correct information before I exit the building. It was very odd. While my husband is trying to give me some information, she is literally also packing up and saying to someone over her should that she's going on lunch. She doesn't directly say to me anything about stepping aside or having someone else help me or anything like that, she just grabs her sweatshirt and a bag and she walks away to another coworker.. I have to pause my husband and just say "Hey she just walked away, so I don't know what you want me to do.." I want to reiterate I wasn't aggressive or asking her to do anything impossible! I just was trying to ask some questions and get my queries answered. I really don't think she should have hopped into her window and said she could help me if she was going to suddenly decide she was done with our interaction and go on lunch. It's just very unprofessional! So also what is weird is she is definitely listening to me even though I am not saying anything rude, I only had asked about her laughing in some genuine confusion. So as soon as I say "She walked away and says she is going on lunch" she comes storming back and saying "well, I told you it's not here!" And I say "Well I am trying to get information for you to see if it can help!" She says " Well you don't look like you want to be helped since you are on the phone and not talking to me!" I am honestly dumbfounded because I had just said I was trying to see what information my husband had to give us. He may have had a tracking number and I honestly don't know why she seemed to need to rush me or the interaction forward. I am already feeling a bit stressed in the situation because I know there is a line and I don't want to take up so much time, but it wasn't a very long interaction at all. I just checked my call log. He called me at 2:18 pm, and the call was 2 minutes long.. 2 MINUTES LONG! HE HEARD OUR WHOLE INTERACTION AND SHE WALKED AWAY FROM ME WITHIN TWO MINUTES! Is that not crazy?! That's actually less time then I thought.. I was thinking 4-6 minutes maybe but TWO MINUTES. Also I get that it may not have been polite to be on the phone with my husband, but again TWO minutes and she had already escalated herself and the situation THAT much. She really didn't even give me a chance to see if I was mistaken or to see if it wasn't informed delivery. She had literally lost it! I don't think people like this are good representations of USPS. She is much older than me, and she is not acting emotionally or socially intelligent enough for her position. I took a walk down the street and came back to ask to speak with a supervisor. The other clerk at the next window was very empathetic as she witnessed what had happened. Honestly, it really isn't about what she said but HOW she was saying it and communicating. My husband said he heard her mocking/belittling me, so that is the dynamic that was witnessed by outsiders. Again, it's just really quite a shame that we can't be nicer to each other. You get what you give, and this woman leads a life of bitterness. It's not necessary to employ losers who impact on someone's day & choose unkindness. read more

It's sort of a busy location, closest one can walk to, they do need more staff for such a big place. Not sure where the negative reviews came from but maybe people had different experiences with this location? I went around 8/9 am in the morning, was number four in line because a lady who had a big package let me go ahead first because I held the door for her so she can walk in while carrying a big package. I only had a Christmas card to mail out to a college friend via priority mail. The heat inside can feel hot for some people (if you're wearing a down) it wasn't that cold outside but it felt like they were blasting it? Didn't wait that long as long as you have the information ready along with the package/letter that's going to be mailed out and know which service will you be using which helps move the lines along too. read more

I realize this is a post office, and is a government service, still, it exceeds my expectations! The hours really are hard to beat! I work 7 days a week, and weekend mornings are about the only free time (with energy) I have. Being able to go to the post office after my Monday-to-Friday job is a godsend Other than one, small, mildly unpleasant experience with a staff member, all others have been positive. The post office is pretty well staffed, and the line was kept moving. During the holidays, there are going to be lines, and I am not going to be complain, especially when I was part of said line. I don't believe there is a parking lot, but I've never had an issue finding a street parking spot within a stone's throw (maybe a football pass?) away. read more

Service here is not good. Associates seem apathetic and unaccommodating. I was repeatedly asked to step to side when they could have assisted me to make sure mail was accurate. Also layout of this location is confusing. There are hardly any supplies here and even asking for packing tape to tape my box together was like pulling teeth. At other USPS locations, the associates have not only taped my box for me but provided a label as well. I will not come back here again. read more

The line is always very long and only 1 window open for mailing and one for passports. I have waited 40 minutes to just drop off a prepaid box. Do better USPS. It's a main postal office in a large city. I have never gone there without a very long wait. read more

I have used this post office several times to ship packages to friends and the packages always arrive to their destination no later than the time promised. The service is friendly here and even though there is a line here sometimes, the line always moves fast. Called and spoke to someone to ask if they do walk in passport appointments and u they clearly ask if today was acceptable which was a Monday and the lady said yes. Waited in line for the teller to tell me they don't do it on Monday's and doesn't know who I spoke to which it's not hard to ask since there is only 2 female tellers. Everyone needs to be on the same page so they don't give the customer the wrong information traveling with kids is not easy. read more

Yeah... its a post office... and kind of what you'd expect. Well, except that they're actually friendly. Oh, and a bit helpful. I got my pass port photos done here. The friendly guy at the counter offered to look over my form, and mail it right then.... of course, I forgot to bring a check, so I had to hold off on mailing it then. The place looses a star for charging a bit more than... well anywhere else to have passport photos taken. Another point for when I asked if there was any way I could get my passport back after my new one is processed, I was told "no". I found out later, they mail back all old pass ports automatically. Also, when he told me how much my fees were going to be, he didn't notice I was also getting a passport card (additional 20 dollars), so if I didn't spend some time on the http://travel.state.gov web site, I would've had my request rejected.... But that might have been my fault, since he didn't look over my application before telling me how much I should send in. So, friendly, courteous, and possibly misleading. read more

This post office is strategically in the right place - Quincy Ctr. A stone's throw away from the T, I use this branch for my infrequent mailing, shipping, stationary needs. The hours are good and the place gets the job done. The inside is pretty big and it is one of the post offices that has retained it's old look and yet is very modern. The staff who seems to be working here forever are very helpful. On my own - I invariably have trouble with finding the right kind of box and quite often get confused between the different kind of express / overnight / insurance / sign required options etc. They clearly know their stuff and help you to the max with any queries you may have. As I said, nothing beats the location. Enough street parking if you are driving. In the evenings when the spots are all taken, you can park in the lot of Thomas Crane Library which is bang opposite. Uh, actually, I checked after and the tracking number WAS one of theirs, so now I have to go back. I love my post office. Yes MY post office. Sadly I think others are learning of how amazing the staff is here because over the last 6 mos or so it had been CRAZY busy when I have gone in. But even so the line moves fast, the staff is always so friendly and jokes around (breaking every "postal worker" stereotype there is). This place is also never short of characters. This makes the wait in line seem a little less. Once I got to hear an older woman yell at someone over the phone about mail being sent to God since she never received it. I just went to this post office after I finished work today, the lady was in impatient face and rude when I asked more detail about the shipping method. Because I have lost twice packages by using USPS several years ago, and I wanted to make sure which one would be more safety for sending an important document. Unfortunately, I didn't get a great service, and I left there without sending anything because she was impatient. I was guessing she couldn't wait longer because 15 minutes left for closing and still had 6 or more customers were waiting. But that didn't mean you could have an impatient face to the customer with a rude tone. read more

Yes, I am rating a post office. I go here, as it's easy to park and it's usually not too crowded. The postal people are very friendly. In and out. Within walking distance of Quincy Center Red Line T stop or bus 220 or 222. Street parking or you can park at the library parking lot for free. read more

To whom it may concern, I am not sure as to what is going on in the Quincy Post Office, but I have been calling for the past three days without any success to reach anyone. I have been calling the listed number, (850) 627-8490 and (850) 875-1271 (provided by another Post Office), all day-each day (from opening at 0830 until the answering machine come on at 0430pm). I have also called three other post offices in this area and I was able to speak with an employee at each one of those facilities. I had a question(s) regarding mail delivery in a specific neighborhood that I would like answers to. Due to me being an active-duty service member who is stationed out of state, I would greatly appreciate it if someone would answer the phone to provide some type of customer service to my inquiry. I have NEVER experienced anything like this. They do not even deserve the one star!!! I contacted the USPS headquarters and opened a ticket (case) to investigate this matter which the representative was able to answer my question after four (4) days of calling. read more

Possibly the worst post office I've been to. tldr: Inefficient, unhelpful, under stocked, disorganised. They "lost" one of my parcels - I had 2 parcels that I was to pick up (doubt they knocked because I was home all day, but whatever, I had the "we missed you" card and went in on the date they wrote on that), they gave me one parcel then couldn't find the other so told me to wait for them to call (this was around opening time). I waited the whole day and nothing, so the next morning I called the direct line they'd given me. They tell me to call back in half an hour because the courier's not in so I say ok. I call in half an hour and someone else picks up and says they can't help me because they're working at a window and only picked up because the phone was ringing, and to call back in 20 so I say okay. I call back in 20 and the first guy picks up and says the courier is still not in but should be really soon so I tell him to call me when he does. I don't get a call for a couple hours so I go in to the office and ask about the parcel. Im relegated to the manager who, after a while comes out and tells me the "2" in the box that is checked is actually an "x" so I don't have 2 parcels to pick up, just one. I say no, actually, there's 2 parcels and show him the picture that the sender had sent me of the 2 parcels. I cannot believe he is questioning my literacy here?? And telling me I DON'T have 2 parcels?? So he asks me for a tracking number and I give it to him, and he go back and looks for it. I wait and wait and now he's out the front looking into cupboards and finally he opens one directly in front of where I'm standing and it's literally right there. They don't even apologise but at this point I'm so done with them. I also wanted to send a parcel but apparently it was in the wrong box, so I asked them if they have other boxes and they said no, and told me to go to a different branch. I asked for a number of different solutions but he was extremely dismissive and kept telling me I have the wrong box. Like yeah ok I got it the first time but can we please find a solution?? He wasn't even giving me options other than "go home and find a different box". He also looked over at his colleague next to him and said that I was saying something that I literally did not say. Extremely rude. (Not the manager this time, some other guy working at the counter). I'd been to this branch a couple times before and each time I went they seemed to be having troubles with a customer but I just assumed the customer was in the wrong. One of the workers there had also been really slow and brusque but I just assumed she was having a bad day and I know customer service is difficult so I didn't really care as long as the job got done. But really now I'm thinking they must always be like this. Rude, unhelpful, inefficient, under stocked. Sad because this branch is super convenient for me and I want to support USPS, but I definitely won't be going there again. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could! I stay in a apartment complex and the mail carrier always put my packages in the wrong box!! Luckily I have honest neighbors that make sure to give me the mail whenever it's placed in their box. However the last incident my package was left in a totally different person box that lived on the other side of the complex and it took me 4 days to locate it with the help of my apartment manager. I went to the post office twice and spoke with a supervisor and she told me the package was left outside my apartment which was a lie!! I told her the tracking said it was left inside my box but she gonna swear me down that it was wrong. 4 days after it was delivered a tenant turned it in and said it was in her box. We were there at the post office last week to apply for a passport for our adopted son.The lady there was extremely rude. We had all the paper work in order but, in one of the forms we had filled out a section that apparently should have been left blank. The lady was visibly upset as if she had to re-type the form for us. I had my 1.5 year old in my arms and my wife had a bunch of paper work in her hand and the last thing we wanted after a long day of work was someone yelling that we didn't read the instructions. All she needed to say was that the bottom section should not be filled out and can you just retype that page? Instead she said why didn't you read the instructions? I hope the post master general is reading this and takes action. She doesn't deserve to work at the post office. On the contrary, there is a hearing impaired lady who is such a sweetheart. When we went to the P.O to mail a letter to the adoption agency she asked if we were adopting and she was so happy for us. I hope USPS gives her the due credit. God bless her! read more

The business I work for has used this Post Office for 8 years. Possibly longer. - I have used 14 others on a consistent basis over the past 15 years. This is, without question, the worst. Caveat: Employees - Most are Decent. Some are helpful. Very individualistic and depends on the day. Specifically, we have a business PO Box. - We check it 3 times a week. 2 Ongoing Issues: 1. Picking up mail and packages from our PO Box. - I have gone in and spoken with the Tellers and the Post Master 6+ times. - The owner has gone in 3 times. - We have filled out paperwork for them as well. Submitted Notarized Letters as per their demands. Adding other people to the authorized list. - STILL After 8 years, at times, they say, only the owner's name is on the box and only he is allowed to pickup mail or packages at the tellers. (Not sign, simply pickup if we didn't bring a key). - Not "Can I see your business id." Not "can I call and confirm with your boss." Not "Do you have a letter." Not even "There is mail in my name, could you check it." - I understand privacy and theft issues, but after filling out the notarized forms and submitting them on MULTIPLE Occasions, you'd think they'd have it fixed by now. - Nope. "The owner of the (mid-size 25 person) business must personally come here and pick up the mail." 2. Packages were delivered to the PO. - In the 6 months alone, at 4 different times, 4 different packages were confirmed delayed by MONTHS! - Not days, not weeks, but months. - Let me be clear. 4 Packages were shipped to our PO Box with tracking. The tracking shows delivery to the Post Office on time. We were given our packages 2-3 MONTHS later. - We pickup our mail 3 times a week. We inspect for packing slips, certified slips, etc that are placed in our box. We go to the teller. - When I contacted the companies for package, they said it was shipped and delivered. - The Post Office said No. Never received. - They lost the packages in their own building. - Worse, they refused to apologize it for it. And stated it was our fault for not pursuing it further with them and somehow not picking up our packages in the previous 2-3months. DO NOT GET A PO BOX HERE. - Make sure every package or letter you ship out of this location has a tracking number. OR USE ANOTHER POST OFFICE. read more
