I gave him the part number, he looked it up and advised he'd have it in by tomorrow morning! Next morning, I got a call from the store telling me my part was in! Faster than Amazon....LOL I had other errands to run so I included them in my run to the auto parts store. By chance, Tim was the one who waited on me. He remembered talking to me and taking my order. I had an Advance Perks Reward which I was trying to use for my purchase, but it kept giving Tim a hard time. So, in a real professional manner, he called his Customer Support team and they worked out the problem instantly. They even gave me a little bonus for my trouble.. I was thoroughly impressed! The very AA location just happened to be across the street, (lucky me) so I stopped in to have them check the battery. Miresa tested the battery & checked the ALT to find it was failing. He didn't want me driving home & take a chance that the truck would die on the road as the battery was at half its amp rating & losing power. He asked that I'd stay so he could recharge it. In the meantime he matched a competitor's ALT price AND INSTALLED IT FOR ME!!! I mean WHO does THAT!!! Its an easy repair but it would have taken me a lot longer to do what he did in 15 minutes! 5 STAR KUDOS to Miresa!!! Thank you for the savings ALL the way around!!! He was going on about his personal car with his buddy he was checking out at the register, he pulled his phone out and started chatting about the car he was talking about, then he started asking the customer about his relationship etc, while several of us have been standing in line, patiently waiting. The other register opened up and I started making my purchases, I ask the clerk, "can you believe that guy is over there chatting about his personal life and sharing photos, while we all stand in line and wait?" The rude employee looked at me and scoffed, I looked over at the other register and the kid asked me if I had a problem, I told him he was rude, wasting our time talking about his personal life and sharing photos while we waited, he just parroted me. I asked to speak to the manager, he said there wasn't a manager there and that he would be gone for vacation for 2weeks. Then he said I don't care if you tell my manager. I went to the truck to get a pen, I came back into the store and asked for his name, he said " I dont respect you, I'm not giving you my name" so I went to the other register where the associate Arly was working and asked him for the clerks name, they both wouldn't budge, I will be bring my money to an alternative auto parts store from now on and recommend my neighbors also.

I took it to Advance Auto Parts because the battery came from there, but was not under any warranty anymore because it was fairly old. They checked it as well. Sure enough it needed a battery. They carry Diehard batteries. I had called Firestone because in the past I had gotten Interstate Batteries there but they don't sell them anymore, they sell Diehard. The problem with them is the cost of the battery I needed. It was close to $300. I got mine at Auto Zone and it was only $234 for the same Diehard battery. That's a big difference, so I got it here. The gentlemen that work here are very friendly. The guy that installed my battery was Brian, we were chatting about GMC and he said his dad worked for GMC for almost 40 years. I have a 2004 GMC Envoy. Brian learned a lot from his dad. So he was the right guy to do the job and he was very friendly. I'm lucky because both of the auto part places near me are excellent and trustworthy and reliable. I will be back here And I don't think it will be in nine years
