I was expecting it to be stronger blue cheese than it was because of the warnings. It was delicious, though, and so was the ham and cheese. They have a no laptop policy here, so expect to be social with whoever comes with you. It's not a bad thing, just different than a lot of places. I'll definitely be back.

The pastry was beautifully flaky without being dry, and the filling was packed with flavor while remaining well-balanced and not overly salty. Other members of our group were equally impressed with their choices, including the beef, shrimp, and ham-and-cheese varieties. One detail I thought was really cool was how they stamped the restaurant's name, "VENGA," around the border of the empanadas. I read on the website that they had something with guava, so I asked for two of those: one for me, one for the wife. He even offered to heat mine up, which I will say yes to 100% of the time. He was genuinely kind, and we ended up having a great conversation about his garden, his house in Buenos Aires, and his country Argentina.
