Recently, my girlfriend was involved in a three-car accident that smashed in the front passenger side of her Honda Pilot. Universal Collision was one of the places her insurance company recommended, and we're glad they did. As this happened around Christmas, money had been pretty tight. She had actually put off getting it fixed for a couple of months, until finally it got to the point that it just -had- to get done. When she took her car over, their guy (will get name later) was willing to work with her a bit on the deductible, which was quite a relief. In fact, his customer service, assurances, and willingness to work for our business was so good that she actually talked about it when she came home. When was the last time you received customer service that was so good that you actually told someone else about it? They pretty much walked her though everything--arranging for her car rental, you name it. The car took awhile to get back, as there was hidden damage that had to be repaired (this was no surprise--the assessor didn't want to open the hood because he was afraid it wouldn't close). On the last day, we received a phone call from them asking if her windshield had been cracked--she replied that it hadn't, except for a small spot on the driver's side. Turns out that the windshield had gotten damaged in the paint-drying process, so they gave her an entirely new one and were entirely up front about it being their fault. When the car was done, it looked as if it were sitting on the lot of a dealership--their work was impeccable (photos attached soon). They also offered to help us deal with manufacturer warranties in case of part failure (not likely), and gave a full life-time warranty on their work. All-in-all, I have to say that we were pretty impressed. read more

Let me start by stating that I used to own an auto body repair shop. I know the industry and what to look for when I'm shopping for a reputable shop. My brand new Hyundai was hit recently in a parking lot.no cameras, no note, nothing to identify who did the damage. This is a vehicle I use daily for work and being without it would be a great inconvenience. I spoke to Miguel and presented him with my dilemma. He had one of his team remove the damaged bumper cover, and made sure it was drivable. (The front bumper cover isn't necessary to operate the car). I returned in a couple of days as agreed, I waited in the waiting room while they put the cover back on. (About half an hour). The work was perfect. I couldn't see any trace of the damage. Let me start by saying that Miguel who gave the rating of 5 stars is the owner. I was very disappointed in the work they performed on my car. They broke a wood trim piece on my interior, tried to say it came that way, and then glued it back together. Said they would order another and replace it but its been a month and I haven't heard from them. They even forgot to hook my headlights back up when they finished the job. My door speaker and alarm system no longer work due to them not hooking it back up correctly or ruining it all together. I will never return. Very shady place. read more

I will say that the customer service was great, but I left feeling majorly conned. I brought my car in to get some work done and they estimated it at $360 and gave me a specific date it'd be done. When the day came, they 1 didn't call me to tell me about any delays or price changes 2 it was delayed by four days and 3 when time came to pick up my car, the price doubled without any notice. I paid them because they did the work they promised to do but I felt the service was unreliable when I was in a tight spot with money and time. read more

Not all bad, but I wouldn't recommend. The service was cost effective, fast and polite; very welcoming people. But as I was there a few weeks ago for a door hinge repair, due to the wind blowing my truck door open too far beyond its operational limits, I can't say I'm impressed by the repair that was done. You can clearly see where they did the work on the hinge, as well as a crack where their weld was done, already. The door now has to be slammed closed, as it won't fully seat in the bracket unless you do so. There's a noticeable amount of wind noise, as the door isn't exactly seating correctly. Needless to say, they fixed the fact that the door was jammed shut(as it wouldn't open after we closed it during the initial incident with the wind), but it's not like it was back to normal either, its actually somewhat annoying dealing with it in its current state. My second issue was the fact that I had them replace my windshield on my SUV about the same time. It was installed and a day or so later they sent me a tint guy that they recommended to do a visor strip. I don't know if it was the tint guy they recommended or the person that installed my windscreen, but there was a crack behind where the mirror mounts. Well a few days later that crack went from behind the mirror mounting point, down to the very bottom of the glass, I brought it back to universal collision and they basically said, I have to buy a whole new windscreen. Mind you, since the install, I've driven maybe 100 miles(if that)over the weeks time and literally no one has touched it, because I know youre supposed to leave it be so it can set properly. They made little to no effort to rectify the situation(like contact the tint guy) except a discount on a new windscreen we would have to buy. I hope these aren't reoccurring issues as they seem like great people and I'd like to see their shop thrive in the high desert area. read more

Miguel and his crew are on point they were accurate and up-to-date on knowing what needed to be fixed on my Nissan Titan truck they offered me a ride home when I drooped of my truck to be fixed they informed me when the work would start they called me to give me up dates of the status of the job and make sure I was notified of any changes because the fire on the freeway made the time frame for some parts that were coming from down the hill were delayed so Miguel personally told me that he would make sure I had transportation to a funeral of my family member that had passed away so me and my family could make it to her funeral and I commend him for being compassionate to the situation and I applaud his quick and prompt response to my needs.
