First, we have been coming here for years and always appreciate the friendly customer service. They give you contact information for the coordinator, who provides the updates. They answer calls, it's nice. We used our Insurance company and it was seemless. We didn't have to do anything. Sometimes it takes a while for repairs, probably from ordering parts, but they are honest and do good work. This time we got our car ahead of time. I just had another great experience with Sonshine Auto Body. I needed a rear tail light assembly replaced after an accident. Someone had rear-ended me and drove away. Luckily, I found a replacement on Amazon, brought it with me, and a very nice technician told me he would install it without charge. Stopped in with what I thought was significant body damage to the passenger rear bumper. I spoke with Collision repair specialist Louis Rubin. He took a look at my damage and said he could fix it in short order - He left and returned with what I called magic sauce. WOW. Stopped in for an estimate. Receptionist said that I would need to make an appointment for an estimate. More delays, sigh. Mr Louis Rubin jumped up from what he was doing and took the time to look at my small problem. They did work on my car, BUT the customer service is awful!!! Did not feel welcome from the beginning, but when we spoke to Maria she "reassured" us about what we needed done. We went in to get the front bumper replaced and we asked if it was possible to have the old bumper back just in case and both Maria and Johnny Gonzalez promised to give us back the bumper. When I we come back to pick up my car we asked about the bumper and Johnny said yes of course and that he was going to go get it, but instead he sent someone else to do his dirty work and tell us that if we wanted the bumper back we need to pay them $150 for it! They told us already twice before that we would get it back free of charge and today they reassured us we would get it back but then immediately changed their minds and ask $150 for it?! If they would have said something before about the extra charge, that would have been a different story, but Johnny really had to send someone else to charge us while Maria just shrugged after she assured us multiple times we would get it back. When I had gotten my car back the scratches on the car from when I was READ-ENDED were left there from the accident that caused them ? They blamed this on it being me to have caused these scratches. Nine years ago, our 2014 newly purchased Town and County was severely damaged when a large tree branch fell upon it. AAA explained that our comprehensive policy would cover repairs. We took the van to Sunshine and after a few weeks under their professional care, we drove off their lot with a brand new looking vehicle. Louis Rubin provided excellent service and could not have been any more helpful. I went to Sonshine last Wednesday hoping to have my license plate moved down about an inch. I purchased my car new over a year ago and the license plate was crooked, but when they fixed it, they placed it too high so I could not add a frame. The front desk initially mentioned that they were not taking any new customers until February, but when I mentioned the license plate issue, she suggested i wait and ask Louis. Louis was more than happy to have my plate moved and I believe it was completed in less than 10 minutes. My elderly mom needed to have a minor door ding in her car repaired and went to Sonshine to have it fixed. She was expecting it to cost around $200. She was warmly greeted by Louis Rubin, the service specialist. Immediately upon her arrival, Louis accessed the ding, went to work on it for about 10 minutes and was able to buff out the ding, making it look like new. I took my Hyundai Sonata Hybrid 2016 to Sonshine Auto Body for a rear bumper repair after I got rear-ended in a parking lot. The car went in late Monday and came out Friday looking like a new car. Nope, never again. I've brought cars here for repairs for several years but the service has gotten horrible. Last year I brought a vehicle here and it was a few days before they even looked at it. I kept calling and they told me that the contract they have with my insurance company gives them so many days to complete an estimate. I told them getting the estimate as quick as possible should be the important thing, not how many days the contract allows. Then I had to keep calling for status updates because they weren't keeping me updated and they kept extending the completion date. The most recent event that proved customer service or customer loyalty isn't important to them is when I went to drop a car off for repairs and they told me I needed an appointment and they didn't have one available for two weeks. I stated I've never needed an appointment before and that I've been coming there for years. They got a little rude with me and said what should we do, take someone else's car out so we can take yours in? I said no, but you could be nicer about it and try to find a solution for a long-time, loyal customer who has also recommended business to them in the past as well. I took my car to another shop that was able to take it that day and will never bring another vehicle there or recommend any business their way in the future. read more

I told him he can tell me no because they close at 5. He said there is no problem. He finished with the other client and went outside to look at my car. He crawled underneath and said there was nothing too bad. He offered to buff out the minor scratches I did have on my bumper.
