Throughout my stay, I felt that staff were not keeping me informed about what was happening, what the treatment plan was, or what the next steps would be. It seemed like there was limited communication among staft members, and I often had to ask questions to get basic information about my care. I also felt that some staff members lacked empathy and confidence when discussing my condition. Because lupus can be a complex illness, I expected more understanding of my symptoms and concerns. Instead, I felt dismissed and uncertain about whether my condition was being fully evaluated. After spending approximately nine hours in the ER, I was discharged with the same pain and issues that brought me in. I left without feeling that my concerns had been adequately addressed or that I had a clear plan for managing my flare-up. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in communication, patient education, and compassion for patients dealing with chronic autoimmune conditions.

A visitor repeatedly looked into/lingered around my dad's room, and when my mom politely asked her to stop, she became confrontational and followed my mom (who uses a cane) off the elevator and down a corridor. We felt unsafe. We felt worried for my dad, who was in an extremely vulnerable state. We reported it immediately to the head of security and later submitted a formal complaint asking what would be done to prevent further contact. We felt as if my dad needed constant family supervision. The response was generic and dismissive, and came via snail mail only after he was discharged a week later. We felt like the head of security, Giovanni Rodriguez, didn't take this HIPAA violation and security scare seriously. I'm sure I'll get a vague or generic response from them again in yelp, if at all. You can't silence me.

I'll admit that we initially had some concerns based on what we had heard and read beforehand. However, our experience ultimately exceeded every expectation. The labor and delivery turned into a very intense and emotional situation. Our baby had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and went into distress, requiring an emergency C-section. It was a frightening moment, but the medical team acted quickly, decisively, and with incredible skill. Looking back, we truly believe their actions made all the difference and may have saved our baby's life. After delivery, our baby spent three weeks in the NICU recovering from respiratory issues, a staph infection, and learning how to feed. During that time, the NICU doctors and nurses were nothing short of extraordinary. They were compassionate, attentive, and endlessly patient--not only caring for our baby but also guiding us as new parents. They took the time to teach us techniques and build our confidence, which made the transition home so much smoother. What stood out most was how genuinely supported we felt. The team treated us with kindness and respect, and by the end of our stay, we truly felt like we had formed meaningful connections with them. We always felt that our baby was in capable, caring hands. Today, our baby is thriving, and we are deeply grateful. We have complete confidence in the care we received at Kern Medical's Labor & Delivery and NICU, and we will always appreciate the role they played in giving our child such a strong start.

I told the doctor I had a kidney stone and in addition to that my foot was also swollen to the point where I couldn't even walk on it. The doctor takes a look at my foot and says Yep it's swollen. And the conversation ended there regarding my foot. Anyone that's had a kidney stone knows that it is very painful in addition to the pain from barely being able to put weight on my foot. You would think that the doctor would offer some kind of pain relief. Instead, he let me sit there for six hours, suffering and pain when he easily could've given me something to help ease the Pain. To top it off while I was there, I hear him talking to the lady across from me that fell and hurt her harm, and he begins to listing off numerous pain medications. He can give her to help her ease the pain. I was just in disbelief But the worst thing about this encounter is I was discharged and I'm still at home. I can't walk and I have no idea what's wrong with my foot. The doctor didn't email address it. Absolutely unacceptable. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

We try and see our primary care physicians for most everything, but occasionally we have a more urgent issue and this is the only place my family will go. Recently I had something going on with my heart rate and being that I've got some other stuff going on - I was worried. I felt silly going in to check my heart rate, since i was pretty sure it was not an emergency but I needed to make sure all was well. I was treated with nothing but kindness and professionalism even though I probably looked like a hypochondriac! We've also been here for a couple of nasty colds/bronchitis, an appendicitis scare and I believe a sprained ankle. Each time, the physician was so amazing to deal with, I wanted to implore them to be my new PCP. Highly recommend this place!

Thing number one space if this place were any slower, running the operations getting you in and out some people would probably die here. Luckily it doesn't seem to be many emergency cases or any showing up to this place. I came in a walk-in on a Monday and waited seven hours, I came in on a walk-in on a Wednesday and waited 5 hours. I came in during several scheduled appointments and even waited upwards of 4 hours. I can understand the long waiting times when youre a walk-in but when i have an appointment it would be nice for them to, keep your appointment times. Secondly, the TV, which is supposed to be entertaining is sometimes too loud, obnoxious, and just overall bad reception most times. Maybe putting it on a music station with the light music background would help not necessarily elevator music, but that would be better than what they have going on. I think the only reason I keep coming here is because the staff is so courteous and they take care of you very well. If I could've went to another location or place I would have but the great staff is the only reason I stay been here for a year and I can't complain about the staff how cordial they are and how well they take care of you. I waited for 5 hours to be seen . When I came early at 7 am and was 5th person in line. Negative 10 stars . Management definitely needs to look into this clinic and see what they can do to improve quality care for the people! No one should endure this!
