First off, the employees were kind but they didn't inform us there was a service charge on top of a take out charge on top of an automatic tip. Solid place inside GSR for Mexican food. Great chips and salsa to munch on before they bring the entrees. Came here after a convention held down the way inside the hotel. Makes it nice to have quality eateries without leaving the hotel. Got myself the carne asada burrito and was really pleased with the portion size. Allowed me to save half of it for the next day. My wife ordered a taco salad and saved half for the next day as well. Reservations are recommended because the word is out about the quality food served here. My only complaint was I could not get the attention of our server for a root beer refill, so I had to go to the bar and ask them for a refill. Had a reservation and was seated immediately. We were brought chips and salsa which the salsa left much to desire as it was very bland and tasted like watered down tomato paste. The beef taquitos were delicious and practically a meal in its own. The hubby and I ordered 4 tacos. 1 quesabirra taco, 1 carnitas, 1 Al pastor and 1 with chicken. The quesabirra was huge the others were equivalent to street tacos. It is unfortunate that they simplified the menu and removed many options such as the nachos and Carnitas burrito. They do still have burritos for $17 then it's an additional charge to order meat. The Habanero salsa was good and rather spicy as the heat was a creeper. I was too full by the end of dinner to try the churros for dessert. All in all not to bad, the service was great as always from Paolo as he is always entertaining and provides excellent service. It was nice to see the service hasn't gone down hill or changed, just wish they'd bring back other items they used to have on the menu. I can say that they have definitely "gringoed" the menu and things are now lacking some of the delicious Mexican spices so if you are looking for authentic Mexican this is not the place for you. Came here for a work convention in August and chose this place as one of our dinners since I remembered it being good the last time came a few years ago. We made reservations and were seated within 10 minutes. I always get my standby fajitas. What I remembered most was that they had side table guacamole so we ordered that. I expected the same but sadly we got this very small cup for $14.99 that didn't taste fresh. They charged $6 for a soda. Everything seemed kinda pricey which would be fine if it was really good but would rate it as just okay. Service was not great either. We had to flag down our waiter for everything. We were a group of 6 for a 6pm reservation. 5 of the entrees came out together. My taco salad was about 10 to 12 mins after. Everyone was done eating (except for my husband who waited for me) That wasnt the big deal.... So delicious!!! Portion size is ok , we always share our meal. They only give you one basket of chips now and 1 salsa you have to pay if you want more unfortunately . They have a very good habanero salsa. That is $2 but it is soooo good!! Margaritas here are very good! We always get the same waiter , I wish I got his name. He is the best server we have ever had!! Our server Michael was great! Lots of good info! We both had margaritas, started with bean dip, chips and salsa. We ordered posole, a favorite of mine which is not on a lot of menus. It was probably the best I've had at a restaurant--served with all the traditional veggies to add to it. I made posole for years and this was tasty and spicy enough -- large chunks of tender pork and a large bowl, so much we had leftovers. Because of several large events at the resort, it was busier and louder than usual. I definitely will return, they were very accommodating for a handicapped senior with a walker. We gad a reservation and I definitely recommend it if visiting as there was a 30+ minute wait within 15 min of opening. Where to start. We asked that there be NO cilantro in any dish. So when our friends' fajitas came literally covered with chopped cilantro we were a bit annoyed. After our last visit, speaking for my husband and I (friends are u decided), we won't be returning. The service was still good. But the food, they have really raised their prices & the quality is not the same. Before writing this review, I checked the price they have listed for their burritos. It says $16-18. However, this last Monday, Aug 3. we paid $23 for asada burrito. $17 for bean burrito and $6 for adding meat. This is almost double what we paid several years ago! While I realize everything is going up, I don't believe inflation is 100%. Thank you Uno Mas for some good times. Good luck for the future, which I'm sad to say we won't be a part of. read more

Service was just okay, but they were also very busy which may have contributed to it. Negatives: --The website has some sort of weird glitch/ bug where you can't add anything to the cart from the tacos section of the menu without first specifying a substitution. It's been this way for over a year now and it seems to affect only items in the tacos section of the menu. --I ordered the carne asada tacos especial (without cilantro since I was forced to omit something just to get the item in the online cart). It was priced on the menu as $18 but showed up in my cart as $19 (which is the price I was charged). --The tacos are supposed to come with sour cream, but mine didn't have any. --I was given a sad sprinkle of romaine lettuce on the side --Asada meat was bland, fatty, and chewy Definitely one of my worst Uno Mas experiences. I'm at the Grand Sierra once a year for a work trip and twice now I've come back here. Meat in our food wasn't dry, beans weren't chalky, serving sizes are great for the price.
