Finally came back for the pizza and it was so good for $10 dollars. They also have a happy hour for drinks on top of it so overall another great experience. We came on the earlier side so it wasn't too busy and the pizza came out quick. read more

Man, it was nice while it lasted. Went on Wednesday for the pizza night and it was closed with a sign saying it's been taken over by new management. This place changes hands faster than any place I've ever seen. Their taco Tuesday and Wednesday pizza was amazing so I hope they plan to keep those the way it was. Service was always subpar and very much sports bar level - slow and impersonal - but the food made up for it. read more

I came at 6pm on a Wednesday to take an advantage of the $10 pizza! Service was great my waitress was helpful, good vibes. The inside has loud music playing so we opted for the chill outdoor patio & it was cute but note you get bit up by mosquitos during the summer!! I got bit 6 times and my boyfriend once. I had to move inside. Food was good that's it. Brisket quesadilla was packed which I loved but if you ever had Hello Fresh, it was giving that lol 5/10. Pepperoni pizza was 6.5/10 & Benno 6/10 they were edible but really just nothing special I wouldn't pay full price for these ($18). If you want to give it a try come on a Wednesday for the deal. Overall experience 6/10 I wanted to love it, it just wasn't worth it and I don't think I'd come back. The overall price I paid for what I got is the only reason I'm not mad at it. read more

I came for Taco Tuesday and it was so much fun. Not only do they play any and all women's sports, they are proudly a women's sports bar. The outdoor seating area is so cute and even has a corn hole set up. It was pretty packed so I ended up sitting at the bar and I was pleasantly surprised at the service. Not only was the food amazing, but the bartenders were amazing. They introduced themselves to me (Jess and Summer) and made such great drinks. They offered me recommendations based on what flavors I like. Everything was so good. I'm definitely bringing all my girls here for all future girls night out. read more

We had the best time tonight thanks to Kayla and crew. We called ahead and got a reservation in front of two tvs so we could watch Copa America and WNBA (at the same time) and she was so hospitable, she even turned on the sound for the WNBA game. The pizza was good, we loved the nachos, and my favorite was the draft cider. They have happy hour, high and low top tables + indoor/outdoor options. Stopped by for a drink during happy hour. My friend lives within walking distance so we decided to try it and we were very happy with the decision we made! The outdoor seating is a great catch. There's multilple spaces for just a couple people or a large group both indoors and out. There's also great sun coverage so you won't be baking out there. The happy hour offers decent deals like $7 well drinks. Today when I went (Wednesday 06/26) they had a $10 pizza special and it looks like they have some other deals throughout the week. The taco Tuesday deals look pretty good so I'll have to try it out. We just had a drink and sat and enjoyed the ambiance so I can't say too much outside of that. The waitress was very nice! Through some casual conversation we learned it was her first day but I wouldn't have known as she was pretty attentive even as it was getting busier and I think she was the only waitress until what seemed like a hostess arrived. So I applaud her for getting all the tables indoors and out on her own whilst still keeping up. I will be back this week and will add more to the review on the food. read more

We had such a great time at Trophy Wife in Silver Lake! We went to watch the Mexico vs. Canada match, and the energy in the place was incredible. A huge shoutout to our server, Kayla--she's hands down one of the best. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel so welcome and taken care of. We've been to Trophy Wife plenty of times, and she always delivers amazing service. Even with a packed house, she somehow manages to be super attentive and genuinely friendly, which makes all the difference. read more

I wanted to like this place after they renamed it, I really did. I even went back again once more thinking maybe they were just having a bad day or something but it's now been two times I've been here where service was absolutely terrible and the food is nothing close to how it use to be. This place had the best tacos and also had a bartender named Kayla that was incredible. But hey looks like they put a ton of money into a remodel though! Lol read more

The food was amazing. The chicken wings were absolutely delicious. The chips with guacamole was perfect and the tacos were absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable friendly. The server was super attentive and owner Anate came up to say hello. She did a great job setting the place up the plants the location of the TVs, the freedom to hang out, I would recommend it to any couple that's looking for a date night or anybody looking to watch a game. As a 9ers fan I am always looking for a sports bar to watch my team. This one popped up so of course I had to check it out. Location is awesome but parking is rough. The hills aren't the easiest to park on but once you find a spot the location is convenient. The patio and bar are very nice and clean and the servers are super attentive. Food and drinks were decent as well. Ordered the chicken breakfast sandwich, it's was small but every tasty. I'll be back to try more things on the menu and watch games. read more

Let me tell you a story of a beaten down fanbase. A fanbase so desperate for a winning team that when they finally found it, they also found friends and community in a most unlikely place. For roughly a season and a half, Hyperion Public was the home on game day for Detroit Lions fans. Friends and memories were made but at the most inopportune time, Hyperion Public shut down, a mere 48 hours before the biggest game in Lions franchise history. As Lions fans, we scrambled to find another bar that could accommodate a raucous, respectful crowd of mostly Michiganders calling bars all over NE LA for a spot and came up short. So on Saturday, a mere 12 working hours before the game on Sunday, I called Trophy Wife and asked, "do you think you could accommodate us?" Their response? "Absolutely! Just get here early!" And we did. The game was ultimately not how we wanted it to end, but the staff at Trophy Wife stepped up beautifully for what had to have been one of their busiest Sundays in a long time. The owner found me early on and gave me her cell number saying to please not hesitate to text or call her when the new season starts so that they can do even better. Trophy Wife's set up is great for game day. They feature a TON of TVs and their indoor/outdoor set up is simply awesome. The food was great and considering just how busy they were, seemed to come in a reasonable amount of time. So from this sad Lions fan the day after the big game, I just want to say THANK YOU to Trophy Wife for stepping up and helping us Lions fans find a place to come and cheer on our team. read more

So, I've been coming here for a couple years now (Trophy Wife) and have always appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. I come for events that that now friends put on and just enjoy how comfortable the space outside is. The food is quality, my only complaint is the loss of the incredible pizza from the menu by the new owners (Untamed Spirits). Honestly, if i could give infinite stars I would. This is our go to bar and we're here at least 1-2 times per week. Janie and Stephanie (the owners) have put so much care, intention and kindness into the space and their energy is unmatched. Pair that with their great drinks, amazing food (some of my faves are the chicken quesadilla, chicken caesar salad, burgers and fries and okay also their brunch - maybe I like everything?), great pricing and their weekly programming and there's really nothing bad to say. I'm not even a sports gal, but they make me want to be one. I am, however, definitely a taco tuesday, drag bingo, trivia thursday gal, so it's only a matter of time until I've completed my Untamed Spirits melding. Also honorable mentions to Eliseo and V, two of the crew who we also love dearly and have also contributed to making this our home away from home. We had some free time before our comedy show started so we decided to head over to Trophy wife bar and have a couple drinks. This was my first time visiting trophy wife bar. As soon as we walked in, I really liked the set up they have going on with the outdoor patio and the open area indoor seating / bar seating. I decided to try some of their finger food and went with their tuna tar tar and a homemade hummus. I really recommend both of these items. They were both delicious, especially the hummus it had this mushroom jelly in the middle that paired perfectly with the pita bread and hummus. Service was quick, and the waiter was super friendly, which was very much appreciated. I would definitely stop by again if I'm ever in the area. This is a really chill spot to come hang out with friends. read more

Finally, a relaxing, spacious bar in the neighborhood! I live down the hill from this place, and stopped by after work with some friends to check out this spot we'd seen on Insta that was advertising itself as a pro- women's sports bar. While I'm not a huge sports fan, my friends love watching b-ball & soccer, so we caught two different games playing simultaneously on the big screens. It was taco tuesday, so we had some yummy tacos & drinks that were very filling and we were able to have conversations without shouting, which is a huge plus about this place; unlike many other bars in Los Feliz, it's not insanely loud that you have to scream in order to talk. Its our first time to try that place Oh my we had a bad experience, we order our food but ofcourse our wine came first but were waiting an hour for our food that we ORDERs did not come yet, we were surprise because the couple in front of us came first the order, but our order did not come yet so we asked the Guy wer is our order? So she asked the lady who took our orders And this irresponsible lady, did not give our orders to the chef. She forgot. we waited an hour. So We just decided to leave and this lady brought the check to pay our wine bill, She did not even say Sorry to us, huh i was so MAD i hope this lady will pay attention to her job. or else u will lose a customers. LA Living we literally spend this entire day out and about. We had a comedy show to attend to that night and we wanted to grab a little Scooby snack before going to the show. We were in the Los Feliz Area and my HONEY stays finding new places to try we ended up here at Trophy Wife Bar. As soon as you walk in they have a beautiful rustic patio. I fell in love with everything. So many beautiful plants and the decorative lights and everything that they have made me feel so comfortable. As you come in the restaurant you choose where to sit. The server approached us very quickly and took our order immediately. We ended up trying to a few things from the menu and I immediately gave them 10 stars. I ordered the Tuna Tar and my husband chose the Hummus and Pita Bread. My husband's cousin ordered some Hot wings and steak tacos. Everything was absolutely delicious, everything tasted fresh and they had a variety of items I will be going back to try. The location is very good close to where we live. I definitely recommend it, if in Los Feliz you have to check out this cute little place. read more

Phenomenal food, service... sincerely unique. Everything about this place was five stars. We came, we saw, we'll be back. We saw Joni Mitchell Saturday night at the Hollywood Bowl. We embraced Trophy Wife for a bottomless mimosa Sunday brunch to watch NFL sports based on a yelp review. The perfect crescendo to a phenomenal experience. 3.5 stars. Bar staff didn't know their own beers on tap or wines they offered. A customer has to remind them of their own selection? The bartenders do not look pleased to be here, and are equally indifferent when you approach the empty bar. The beer tastes good. Menu says all draft beers are $6, they charged me $7. An otherwise nice bar with poor execution. Feels like their days are numbered, but I hope not. Now if only the staff could share (or at least fake) that same sentiment. read more

Have been coming to Trophy Wife for years and has always been a great spot for laidback happy hour, dinner with friends and football Sundays -- happy to now recommend them also as an event space! I hosted 30 friends in the white party tent and can't say enough about how awesome it was. The redesign is stunning, and the semi-private area is so spacious and comfy. So grateful for the personalized attention from friendly staff and bartenders, and the owner made everything SO easy! Love the new pizza. We'll definitely be back soon! read more

I love Trophy Wife! We come here often for Football Sunday brunch and it never disappoints! We also have came here for Happy Hour. Food: 5/5 We love the food! It is so simple but tasty. Nothing fancy just really good food. The mimosas and drinks have you feeling good real quick! Mango Margaritas is my favorite. Also, the prices are amazing!!! Vibes: Everyone is so chill here. This is why I love my Echo Park area. There are a couple of long time customers (trust me we have been here so many times that I recognize their little faces) The staff is so amazing and friendly! They have great customer service. Parking: They have a super duper small lot but there is plenty of street parking! We have never had an issue. Just watch out if you park in the front as you gotta be careful parking on the huge hill. One of my favorite spots! read more

We opened this bar with a bold mission: to create a home for women’s sports in Los Angeles. After years of walking into bars that rarely showed women’s games—or didn’t even know they were on—I knew it was time for something different. Untamed Spirits was built to change that. We’re here to amplify women athletes, build community, and offer an unforgettable experience where everyone feels seen, heard, and celebrated. What COVID safety measures are you taking now that you've reopened? Haven't seen any distancing in place, just looks like a regular bar.

I stopped by and saw that it was completely unregulated and people were shoulder to shoulder without masks on. I didn't feel safe and felt that the establishment is not taking COVID seriously so I left shortly thereafter.

Brian and Dante were not there instead they have two girls. They have placed 3 picnic tables to add to the already existing outdoor seating. I felt safe and it was great to have some sense of normalcy

It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. We started with coffee. My boyfriend ordered a mocha, and I ordered a salted caramel latte. His drink was fine, but mine had absolutely no flavoring. As a former barista, I could immediately tell it was just a plain iced latte. I politely asked the waitress if they had forgotten the syrup, and she insisted, "There is syrup in it, but I can ask them to add more." I knew there wasn't any syrup, but I didn't want to argue, so I said, "Sure, please add more." A few minutes later, the manager came over and told me they actually didn't have salted caramel. So I asked if I could just get a regular caramel latte instead. She then told me they couldn't make that either because they were out of caramel sauce, the very reason they couldn't make the salted caramel in the first place. So why hand me a plain iced latte and tell me it had syrup when you knew you didn't even have the ingredients? Why not simply come back and let me know you were out and ask if I'd like something else? Instead, I was given a regular latte at the price of a flavored one (plus they later charged me for the syrup they never even added). For context, I had originally ordered a dirty chai, which they also couldn't make. So that's two drinks they didn't have, yet no one thought to communicate that before serving me something completely different. When I told the manager I'd look back at the menu for another option, she responded, "Okay... are you going to tell the waitress what drink you want?" I just looked at her, confused, and said, "Well... yeah?" How else was I supposed to order a replacement? The interaction came across as unnecessarily rude. Then it was time to order food. My boyfriend ordered the truffle burger, and I ordered the French toast. The waitress came back a few minutes later and said they couldn't make the French toast. No problem, I told her I'd also have the truffle burger. She acknowledged it, wrote it down, asked how I wanted it cooked, and what side I wanted. I ordered it medium-well with fries. So both burger orders were sent in at the same time. About 20 minutes later, the food arrived, but only my boyfriend's burger and an extra side of fries that we never ordered. At that point, we didn't even bother saying anything about the fries because we were trying to avoid making things more difficult. We waited another 20 minutes (even though it was so slow). My boyfriend finished eating, and my burger still hadn't come out. Finally, we asked for the check and requested that my burger be removed since it never arrived. That's when the waitress told us I had never ordered a second burger. I was honestly speechless. I reminded her that she had taken my order after telling me they couldn't make the French toast. She had written it down, asked how I wanted it cooked, and asked what side I wanted. Her response was that she thought I meant only my boyfriend's burger. That explanation made no sense because my boyfriend's order had already been taken before she took mine. It honestly felt like we were being gaslit over something as simple as ordering a burger. To make matters worse, after we paid and were finally leaving, I looked at the receipt and realized I had been charged for the salted caramel latte that I never actually received. We had to go back yet again. Thankfully, a different employee, not the waitress or the manager helped us. They were friendly, understanding, and quickly corrected the charge. I'm not sure if management has changed, but this entire experience was unnecessarily frustrating from beginning to end. Everything that could have gone wrong did. Honestly, I should've taken the "B" health grade posted on the window as a warning. We ended up walking over to Blue Bottle next door for coffee instead, and I'd absolutely recommend going there if you're looking for a place that actually values customer service. After four years of coming to Zinc, this experience has me seriously questioning whether I'll ever be back.

When we asked for utensils they didn't have any forks so they gave us one spoon and one knife. We made it work. Finally made it to this HOT (both in popularity and live-fire cooking) spot in Glassell Park just…read moreoff the 2 freeway. Apparently they've been open about 3 years, but all the buzz, accolades and crowds seem more recent than that. Reservations can be tough to secure, but recommended. We had a 5:30 opening time res, and I was quite surprised by the length of the separate line for walk-ins. But it appears they all made it in. Their next-door bar only seats walk-ins. Restaurant guests can wait here, but they also have a limited menu that includes several of the popular dishes (like the cornbread) and also a bar-only hangar steak, which replaced the highly lauded bar-only burger. Eagle Rock Blvd is a wide multi-lane street with a center median/parkway. The restaurant has a valet; street parking can be difficult as there are homes and apartments on the side streets. Eagle Rock Blvd has some parking, but across the blvd is FAR and hazardous to cross. A better bet is Bushwick St. behind the restaurant. There aren't a whole lot of businesses nearby, but on Dunsmoor's block there's a bar (The Grant) and a breakfast/lunch/bakery spot (Bub & Grandma's) where Dunsmoor gets their bread. Dunsmoor's Spanish Revival corner space is impressive and lovely. Chef-owner Brian Dunsmoor grew up in Georgia, but the cuisine here is "American Heritage" with definite Southern touches and of course California's abundant purveyors/farms. The menu seems highly seasonal and earthy; I doubt they use tweezers to plate the food here! The space has individual 2-top tables along 2 sides, the middle of the space has 3 long communal tables. There's counter seating right in front of the open fire (great view but hot) and a few more to the right. The fire is a further distance away from counter guests here vs. the spacing at Betsy in Altadena, another live-fire spot. Dunsmoor also has a back kitchen where non-fire dishes are done. We ordered a lot: 1) House Meyer lemonade. Dunsmoor's spirit-free beverage selection is limited. but the lemonade was great, sparkly. Their wine list is pretty large. 2) Chopped chicken liver with bacon, rosemary, onion preserves. Served with bread from Bub & Grandma's. Delish. The thought the rosemary would be overpowering but it wasn't. 3) Edna's sour milk cornbread. Pretty much seen on every table. Cheddar and Hatch chiles flecked through the bread, topped with a mound of melting cultured butter and honey cascading like waterfalls over the sides. A must order. Not spicy at all, thankfully. 4) Regier Farms yellow peaches with farmers cheese, different basils and olive oil. Summer on a plate! The peaches were exquisite. Clearly a seasonal dish. 5) Carolina Gold rice with shrimp and corn. A delish cross between risotto and grits. There was lots of cheese too. An ode to the South. 6) Aunt Emmy's pork and green chili stew. Another top-seller. Homey and substantial, with a slight kick and fabulous house-made tortillas. 7) Beef ribeye with smoked bone marrow and sea salt. Definitely shareable, it's prepared medium rare unless otherwise told. Our slice had a bit of gristle, but it was well prepared. We placed the smoky-rich marrow on top of the steak as recommended. The sea salt was not needed. Would love to try the pork chop and duck someday. 8) Sliced Cherokee tomatoes, simply dressed with apple vinegar, olive oil and sea salt. Another winning seasonal dish. The also have a tomato Caesar dish with more ingredients. 9) Sticky date pudding. Well done moist version of a classic, served in a cast iron dish with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream. Would have loved to try the seasonal stone fruit and blackberry cobbler and the hand-churned ice cream, which on this night was cantaloupe! Overall an excellent and substantial meal. Unlike some past reviews, the service was fine and very friendly. I enjoy a Michelin-starred fancy tasting menu (where they use tweezers to plate) every so often, but a hearty, rib-sticking but upscale meal like this is also great.

The focaccia with whipped ricotta is a must order. Even if you don't like ricotta, you will absolutely love this. The honey has such a rich and complex flavor, it is simply magnificent. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the Agnolotti del Plin. It was sweet and light. I personally would recommend that you share this dish, because the flavor is so unique that I didn't need a lot of bites to feel satisfied. The highlight of the Sausage & Peppers pizza is the crust. It was airy and crunchy and so satisfying. (Next time, I'd order a pizza and keep the extra honey from the focaccia to drizzle on top!!) The hangar steak was a bit of a let down. It tasted a bit "game-y", which was very shocking. I will pass next time. The broccolini was good, but nothing worth raving about. If it were me, id stick with the appetizers, pasta, and pizza!!

Located on the…read moresecond floor, we had no idea what to expect and upon entering, we were introduced to a whole new world. The decor and ambience is absolutely remarkable, so much so that we just had to stare at every detail when walking over to the terrace. Even in the searing summer heat, the terrace offered us a soft, peaceful breeze, so everything felt just right. At the same time, we took advantage of the lovely views of the neighborhood on one side and the beautiful interior of the bar as a centerpiece on the other. Whether having drinks or a meal, this was the perfect setting. Each person on staff was very welcoming and enthusiastic, and they hit the right notes in terms of helping to set the atmosphere. We were recommended the sticky Japanese sweet potato and informed that the skewers would also be delicious and filling. The king salmon skewer and glazed pork belly skewers were indeed amazing. It was obvious that each culinary item was treated with great attention to detail. For me personally, the shoyu, pickled daikon, and rhubarb on the pork belly truly created that perfect bite. Needless to say, I cannot wait for my next trek to the magnificent Checker Hall.

Came here to watch my lousy Falcons blow a game at home to the Chargers Besides the fact Kirk Cousins threw four picks, the drinks were amazing. They may have the best bartenders in LA. The Revolver was perfect with each taste & the spicy margarita delivered as well. I also had eggs, croissant & bacon and those were tasty as well. No complaints there. It's not a true sports bar in the sense that it's lively in that way but there are a lot of TVs if you want to enjoy the game in a quiet environment. Definitely worth coming to if in the Los Feliz area. read more

I was basically initially forced to write a positive review as an employee so they could have a photo of this dumb @ss tiki mug you essentially have to put a deposit down to use on their yelp but tbh this place and the owner are both miserable so I can't advocate for it and have updated for accuracy lol. I joined a few friends for brunch, and the bottomless mimosas were priced at 18 dollars--totally worth every penny, as my glass was consistently filled! I enjoyed a delicious burger and potatoes for just 14 bucks, which felt like a steal. The lively atmosphere of this sports bar, bustling with people, added to the upbeat vibe. The staff here are very friendly and they have a very relaxed, chill vibe. The menu is simple and the beer selection is good. They know how to make a burger (that actually drips like it should). They have a very generous 2 for 1 happy hour that goes on Tuesday through Sundays from 4-9pm. I will definitely be back when I come to this area. read more

The person working here was either on hard drugs or is off her meds. Right when we walked in she started waving at us and saying bye, bye, bye nonstop. She was wearing a satanic shirt so I'm not surprised by her rude and creepy behavior. Do yourself a favor and don't even bother with this place. read more

My one note would be that the cocktail list is not super inventive -- I'd love to see more southern-style specialty drinks in addition to the regular margaritas, etc.

We were seated in a shaded, well-positioned spot with great ambience, ordered food and drinks, and settled in for the game. Around halftime, staff switched our screen to the Dodgers game without asking us. When I flagged it to a female bartender, her exact response was "hold on, I don't care, I'll go see what I can do" -- and then she simply walked off and never returned. A different staff member, a man, was genuinely helpful and got our game back on. He deserves real credit; he was the one bright spot in this entire visit. Shortly after, while I was placing another food and drink order at our table, a second bartender confronted me -- rudely and aggressively -- demanding to know if I was "the one who asked for the game to be changed." He then informed me that FIFA couldn't be shown where we were seated and that we'd need to go watch it in the parking lot, in direct sunlight, despite the fact that we'd already been sitting there comfortably for half an hour with food and drinks. It was obvious the switch was to accommodate a small group of the bartender's friends who wanted the Dodgers game instead -- actual paying customers were an afterthought. This is Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The Dodgers game is playing on every screen in every bar within a mile. We asked for one screen, in the shade, for one soccer match, and were treated like an inconvenience for it. Bottom line: favoritism over customers, condescending staff, and a complete lack of basic hospitality. The one exception was the male bartender who actually helped us -- everyone else made this a first and last visit.

The dessert - we opted for the peach tart - we both felt was not up to the rest of the meal. It was bland. We did see a DJ setting up and we noticed some large speakers that were pointed right at our table so we were glad that we got out before all that started because with the minimalist design and walls. I imagine that room is quite loud and I would not want to eat while that's going on. Would definitely come back.
