Good people, very responsible, just be wary of the fact that they close early sometimes without telling you.

I had my goose down jacket dry cleaned at a few dry cleaners just to get the cheapest price, picking a couple locations on Avenue B and C (between 7th and 14th Street), and this was the cheapest I'd found. They don't have self-service laundry machines, but they do have drop off service. The employees are nice (especially if you know Chinese), and they did a good job, compared to a couple other places on Avenue B. read more

I brought in two pants with oil stains to be dry cleaned hoping that they would be able to remove the stains as I washed and washed to no avail. Prices were cheap at $5 for the pants. Picked it up within a week even though it was ready way before then and the stains were gone! I don't know how they did It but I have no complaints here. They dry clean off premises otherwise they're just a drop off laundry. I'm not sure if I would trust them to dry clean some of my really precious clothing just in case something went wrong based off previous reviews but for some of my favorite everyday clothes it worked out fine for me. read more

I was visiting friends for a wedding in NY last week and I brought the wrong tuxedo pants. Needing an emergency alteration, I was recommended to Up Cleaners since they're LITERALLY around the block and they SAVED THE DAY. The night before I was having nightmares about having to buy a horrible powder blue replacement tuxedo with a frilly shirt. Thanks to the swift needlework, my worst case scenario didn't come to fruition. May helped me and she was super sweet and helpful. I can't thank her enough! read more

My roommate recommended C11 for the almost mandatory bridesmaid dress alterations. I was a little unsure about which tailor to go to having few solid recommendations or having been screwed by expensive tailors in the WV ($80 for buttons and a few pant hems!). So, I made the trek out to C11 and was pleasantly surprised with everything. The place is light and clean and the staff is very friendly. Plus, it was only $20 to take in an inch on each side and I got a nice bus ride back the WV. It was worth the trip and the sightseeing. read more

They do not have dry cleaning on the premises and send people's items out to be cleaned. Twice, I have had items ruined. In both cases, when I noticed the problem, they first tried to tell me that I brought in the items already ruined. Once they realized this tactic was not working, they backtracked and blamed the dry cleaning company for the ruined dress and pillow sham. Both items came back with the fabric shredded. It was my mistake to give them a second chance after my dress came back ruined, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm offended they would try to put the blame on me and not take responsibility for their actions. Until they switch their dry cleaning company and their business practices, I suggest you go elsewhere. read more

I couldn't ask for anything more from a drop-off laundry joint. They are simply the NICEST, most FRIENDLY people going. On top of them being incredibly sweet, they do a great job with the laundry. They're insanely fast for some reason, and the laundry comes out perfect: clean, folded, no newly pink socks, compacted in a plastic bag in your laundry bag. I love these people! They're just simply the best! read more

The people seem friendly enough and the end result of their dry cleaning is good but you have no idea when you're going to get your clothing back. Whatever date they put on the receipt doesn't reflect when the clothing will be ready. I thought giving myself an extra full day as a buffer would be enough but it wasn't. Good, hard-working people but I just want prompt service. I have to go elsewhere. Maybe it's better for laundry, which looks like it's in-house. read more

Very annoyed and inconvenienced by Up Cleaners! Dropped off my dry cleaning on Tuesday July 5. Was told it would be ready Friday ( despite Thursday being written on my receipt). Came Sunday to pick it up and was told it wasn't ready and maybe it would be ready Monday. Well today is Monday and I called and she said it still was not ready but maybe tomorrow. If the owner sees this, can you please respond?! Your lady doesn't speak English so I can't communicate with her and I'm really annoyed at this point as I needed those shirts days ago. I normally don't go to the dry cleaners, but I needed emergency pants hemming and shirts cleaned. The employees are so nice and accommodating and I was able to get it ASAP that day! They're awesome and I'm definitely going back again! read more

I've been a customer here for a long time and had no problems. Yes, they were rude, but I don't really mind that much as long as they provided good service. That all went to shit when I brought my one of a kind vintage top in to be dry cleaned. I went to pick it up and they said it wasn't ready and to come back the next day. Fine, whatever. I came back. Still not ready. Two weeks go by of saying it wasn't ready. Finally I said something and they said it was ok and they would pay me for the shirt, I had the receipt and everything. But THEN they didn't want to pay me when I came to collect. They would rather give me credit, but put up a huge fight when I tell them I don't even want to use their service anymore and to just give me cash so I can go elsewhere. To top it all off, they ripped my boyfriend's shirt the same day. Will never, ever use them again. They were so rude, unapologetic and were yelling at me and my boyfriend. Congrats, you've lost two loyal customers. read more
