I booked the 90 minute Nuansa classic massage. You know how some places start the clock before you've sat down and finish the massage early (aka you pay for an hour and it's only about 45 minutes)? Well! That's not the case here! I got all 90 minutes of my massage. The massage itself: not to be believed. Lukkana started by saying "time to relax". And boy did I. Let me tell you one thing about me - I have the most ticklish legs of anyone I've ever met. Usually, when I have my legs massaged, I kick a hole in the wall and the masseuse files for a lawsuit (this is an exaggeration). Well! Somehow, Lukkana was able to work the muscles in my leg without triggering my dainty ticklish reflexes. I was astonished! Then, you know how sometimes you ask for a firm touch and you get jelly hands? Or the other way around and you're walking out with bruises? I kind of never want to have a different style massage ever again. Using your body weight and elbows/knees/feet instead of just hands is genius. The place is a tiny bit hard to find, so look for the big American flag and go in the door under it. It's an upscale building and spa. They don't have the spa amenities you might think of when I say upscale, but they are so good at what they do they don't need frills. Trust me, they will take care of you!

The manager on duty, was much more professional than the initial associate who responded. While, we understand we were no shows, we were dealing with an unforseen situation. I am so disappointed at Oasis-we used to take our Mother there for many years. The lack of human understanding towards people who are literally dealing with an emergency is so disappointing after having been customers of Oasis for so many years.

My daughter treated me a to luscious evening at The Up Spa. First of all it is located at 66thh Street in mid-Manhattan. The decor as you stand in front of the building grabbed me. The steps are white and glassy looking I thought I was walking on ice. Next, I walked up a few stairs to the front door of the spa and rang the bell. Once the door was opened I felt so relaxed and at home. The comfort level is calming. Then, I was greeted by the owner and the staff who served me a tray delicacies, and wine. Which was very delicious. I was escorted to my room and I was told to undress and lay face down. I was given privacy to do so. Finally my Massage was Amazing. She Massaged. My Head to my toes. I loved the smell of peppermint and the use of it on my body. I was also given a collagen Mask on my face which was cool and invigorating. Finally, at the completion of my session I felt like going to sleep. When I re-entered the sitting area I was I offered more wine and delicacies. I was asked about my experience.....Overall my session, my Massage and my Massuse were Outstanding. Thank you once again for a Spectacular way to set off The New Year! P.S. My first time at Up Spa and it was beyond my expectations. I was nervous as I came in to get one of their infamous & unique "vagacials" but the staff made the process very smooth. I was taken care of by the owner who's personality is amazing. I felt right at home. The prices are affordable specially being located in the Upper East Side. As an interior designer, I tend to focus on the little details. The ambiance was perfect. Low lighting, instrumental music, comfortable and chic furniture. As soon as I walked in, I was asked if I wanted wine, water, or tea. If I waited 5 minutes it was a lot (I was also early for my appointment) so technically I was seen earlier than scheduled. I was given a hot neck pillow, & a robe to relax in. Throughout the session, I decided to up my package and they were able to fit the upgrade into their schedule. The entire process was smooth and quite honestly, amazing. I'm coming into the city from Jersey and it is worth every penny and time. Hi all, I went yesterday for my first prenatal massage and it was so GREAT!!!!! Instant relief and still today feelings of peace. My self care time was much needed and was met with above Excellance nourishment, grace and peace. I feel amazing. I also received a facial and got my eyebrows done as well.my eyebrows look really great- awesome shape and color, many compliments and the facial was extremely nourishing. My skin looks and feels smooth as the baby's bottom I'm carrying lol.. it was complete care from visual with such beautiful decor, to physical, spiritual, emotional and overall self love self care. Such a warm welcoming feeling when I walked in the staff is so friendly. They gave me wine cookies and macarons. They also had some other snacks laid out. When I sat down to fill out my paperwork someone bring a warm neck wrap for me and it felt so good. I seen a sign in the bathroom that if you leave a live review to post on your social media they also give you an extra $5 off. I got the body scrub and a glow up facial. I love love loved my body scrubs it came with a 30-minute massage. I have not gotten a facial in a while so the extractions we're a little extreme but afterward I had no redness and my skin felt so clean and clear. I will definitely be back! read more

I had a very relaxing experience at UP spa. From the minute I entered the door I was warmly welcomed. Beautiful waiting area with lovely snacks such as nuts, dried fruit, chocolate, and baked treats. I was also offered some cool water and some bomb ginger tea. I got the body scrub with Natalia. She was so professional and gave a great service. The scrub was awesome and the shower was wonderful. I felt so clean after the shower. Natalia then gave a full body hydrating massage and she helped me get a bunch of knots out of shoulders and back. Great strong pressure! The customer service and character of this spa is unbelievably pleasant. I was greeted with wine, water or tea to then be lead into my vagacial session. The session was unbelievably amazing. As someone that has experienced an array of waxes and lazering that have either gone rough or terribly wrong, this experience changed my outlook on having an enjoyable wax experience. I went for a facial since they were offering 20% off new services. The esthetician Erica was really nice from the moment I walked in. I told her to try whatever she thought was best for my skin. Somewhere between an hour to an hour and a half later (I fell asleep during the process) I woke up with this gorgeous glow. The place itself is very warm and welcoming. I think I found my lost family at Up Spa. This place have some of the most caring and fascinating personalities. Each of them invest a great deal into each patient/customer. Ashley the manager made me feel at home the minute I stepped foot into the spa. Natalia have an abundance knowledge of post surgery and hands that were made for healing. Needed a manicure before a client meeting one day and…read moreeven tho I usually do one like once a month or once every two months I didn't have the time to fix chipped nail polish so I ran over here during my lunch hour. Service here is impeccable. They are thoughtful, kind, the ambiance and feel of this place is amazingly peaceful and it's super duper clean. All the things you need in a spa. They've even got some sort of sound proofing thing going on because whenever I've come here there hasn't been traffic noise - it's truly a peaceful oasis in an otherwise frantically crowded neighborhood. That being said, I've now come here a few times. My manicure have always been ooookaaaaaay. But I return because it's a wonderful experience. You lie down, there are comfy pillows, almost an eerie silence with very calming music playing overhead and it always smells lovely. It's a great way to spend a lunch hour and kind of recharge your batteries after a rough morning. This past visit (probably like my 5th or 6th - I don't always remember to check in) my manicure really wasn't okay. It was bad. I hate having to do things like ask for the nail file and file my own nail after someone makes it significantly shorter and files it into a crooked square shape...when I try to keep my nails a nice medium length (rather than short :-/) and I was clear about wanting a more rounded square. I had to fix a few after I was done...I also had to ask for my (very attentive) nail tech to paint the sides where she would miss a lot of my nail...having to fix some left some nails darker than others. She also did one coat of the deep blood red polish I chose and then a top coat. Any polish, especially darker colors require a minimum of 2 coats. This is pretty common nail polish knowledge. She was so nice and I was nice about it but after paying and getting to my office I was pretty horrified at how my nails looked. They were all really weird. Lots of marks, lots of unnecessary thickness, some air bubbles - I was pretty upset. There's also usually a brief complimentary back rub done afterwards which is a really nice treat and something I got used to the previous times I've come here which makes the experience worth coming back for considering every mani I've had here has been ooookay. Yesterday's was not okay. There are photos. Today I've got two nail polishes where the polish has chipped from just typing at work...my normal Astoria spot manicures generally last me 3 weeks. I'll probably return sometime for a couples massage or something as I mentioned my fondness for this place to my husband, but I don't know if I'd come back for another manicure. I don't do my nails that often and I need consistency...plus it hurts to spend money on something that's meant to treat myself and the final result is something I could have done to myself 100% better. I felt like I had to kind of hide my hands during my client meeting. Again, I've had good experiences here and not let frustrated so 3 stars for A okay. Ooookaaaay.

She was a bit hard on me, I tend to like gentle massages because I bruise like a peach. But she told me she had to because I had a lot of tension. She also recommended some exercises and stretches to try, which was really awesome of her. One thing you should note, that her "room" is incredibly tiny. When you get into the building there is a small area with no chairs that you would have to wait for her. She does come out occasionally, but when I went the person before me was over her time by 15 minutes or so and I started freaking out thinking that she thought I was a no show. So, if she is not outside of her "room", then she is with a patient and whatever you do DON'T knock on the door. I felt like she was a bit annoyed when I did that even though she said it was okay.

Once I made it in, the ladies were busy folding but one came over to assist me with checking in. They started first with putting hand sanitizer on my hands and then take my temperature. Then they were trying to figure out the Groupon situation. After trying to scan and then trying to type in the number they just wrote it down and told me to mark as redeem. Alright now over that obstacle I was shown where my room was. First impression I have never been to a spa that the walls didn't meet the ceiling so you can hear everything from every direction. The beds were not very comfortable to lay on and didn't have the warming blankets to help with folks like me that stay cold. Now on to the massage. Well it all started pretty good but started going down him very quick. I asked for another blanket due to being cold and they placed a few towels on my to help. Then when I am trying to relax there is an two employees having conversation pretty loudly in the other room area, the music then shuts off so it appears even louder, and then with my towel basically rolled off exposing my side and part of my butt the lady opens the door and leaves it open while she walks out the room. I am not a huge modest person but hey now there's people walking around and I don't need anyone getting ideas. So after that I really couldn't relax because not only did it happen that once but it happened again. I asked her to please stop leaving with my towel exposing me. She just giggled. (Facepalm) Once the session was over they were then wanting to talk and asked me what their tip was going to be. From my understanding I thought it was up to the customer to decide that.....and then stated normally at least $10 or more is good. I was shocked that I was getting told what someones tip is going to be. Maybe I need a reality check but what if I thought you did a horrible job...then what happens? She told me they prefer cash tip because a card tip they will have to charge me another $1 for the card fee. All in all I will not go back to this place on my own accord. I have been to so many decent massages places that even with the Groupon I would t go back.

She called and booked the appointment back-to-back for August 26. First time coming here & didn't know what to expect as I don't get massage often (had it twice before; one was painful/bad + one was okay just felt like very light rubbing). -Wednesday, August 26- 3:30PM Body Massage (One 60-Minute Couples Full-Body Massage with Hot Stone and Aromatherapy Massage for Two $135) 4:30PM Body Scrub (2 orders of One 60-Minute Body Scrub with Soften Skin by Device Pre-Scrubbing and Sugar or Sea Salt Scrubbing $138) 5:30PM Complimentary Facial- owner gave to us (cleanse & face mask & toner) It looks shady from the outside; small massage parlor (not fancy as in upscale place with separate areas: lobby, changing area, etc). Owner greeted us warmly & lead us to our room. I used the restroom first (we had lunch right before coming here & I didn't want to hold it for 2hrs after drinking lots of water during lunch) & then my cousin went to the restroom, so I was the first in the room to change. The room was to the right of the front door (very close as in a few feet infront) had 2 beds. Dim lighting to set the mood. Clothes hooks infront of the bed on wall for our purses & clothing (is a narrow space between that wall to the massage bed because ladies stand in that area; TIP: Don't bring so much personal belongings or baggy items). We stripped naked & lay on the bed with a thin sheet covering us. Our face in the head opening area of the table looking down to the floor. We had selected the aromatherapy essential oils for our massage during check in (the ladies placed it under the table infront of our face so we could breathe it in). The massage was lovely; we enjoyed it very much. The ladies (owner + staff) was very friendly, polite, & courteous about touching/massaging & our body placement. They would cover one part as they work other parts &asked us about the pressure to make sure we were okay. There were 2 times where we heard outside the room, that a man had entered to inquire about massage. He sounded so close (the door was close to our room) to us that we were worried. The ladies made sure to cover us while the owner went out to speak to him; saying they were unavailable for the next 2hrs & to come back later or schedule for another day. This happened twice & we felt as if the man was in the room with us (I peeked & our room door was closed) & we were covered, but still felt too close for comfort. Body scrub was next; they lubed us up with the scrub mixture all over (felt like another massage). I was the first one done; so I had a thin sheet wrapped around me as I walked to the bathroom (they gave me shower slippers) to shower off the scrub mixture. The small shower is on the right side of the toilet with the washer/dryer next to the sink all in the same bathroom. Complimentary bath gel soap, shampoo, conditioner, facial wash & towels provided. When I returned to the room (so my cousin can shower next), I was told that the owner will gift us a complimentary facial since she liked us so much. We had chatted her up during check in & the service (she found out we were Taiwanese Americans); when I said we, I meant my cousin. My cousin is naturally charming that all loves her; plus she speaks Chinese fluently (better than me) so that comforted the owner who is Taiwanese. Overall, we enjoyed our experience & would come back. They worked out the knots in the back & are very professional. No funny business =P. We chatted occasionally with the ladies & with each other, but mostly just relax in silence to enjoy the experience. We both fell asleep during some parts of the massage/scrub massage-- that was how relaxed we were. -Friday, September 18- 6PM-7PM 1hr Body Massage My cousin & I decided to make this a monthly thing (or whenever we can meet up to enjoy) for a girl's spa day. We paid regular price to support business (they weren't doing so well during covid) $70 body massage per person. Afterward, we noticed a new deal... the owner had posted a sign for a new special deal- 90minutes massage for $70 which we'll try next time. She knocked off $5 for us both since we now become a loyal *returning* customer. We came fully ready to pay full price to help support her business & not expecting anything extra so it was a nice surprise of the $5discount. We have yet to make our October body massage appointment (due to me being in the Brooklyn ZipCode LockDown & being extra careful 10/7 to now & my cousin is a teacher waiting on her schedule conflicts to clear up). We will most likely make an appointment next week or just wait until November (and skipping October completely). TIP: Don't eat right before service; we both felt gassy when they massage abdomen area & nose was stuffed up after breathing in oil while sleeping- wait abit Our second experience was better- no gas or stuffy nose.

The person treating me said if the dark spots came back within 3 months, I could come back and they would remove it for free. About a month later they came back (faded, but still evident) so I went back and they were closed. I went again the next day and was told only the person who gave me the treatment could touch up. They didn't know when she would be in again. I went back maybe 6 times in 3 weeks and still have not had anyone follow through. Asked to speak to the manager and she is on vacation for the next 3 weeks... This is a really difficult place to give business to. I live around the block and thought it would be easier to go to a local spa but it's causing much more frustration. No posted phone number or business hours either. Would not recommend

Upon entry you check in, they give you slippers, you change into your robe and then depending on your package you either wait in the zen area with tea or water, or go straight into your massage. It's a wonderful place to celebrate, reset, or just treat yourself because you're worth it. It's always clean, the staff is pleasant, and Linda is my favorite masseuse. But everyone is wonderful! Don't hesitate to book them. My favorite is gifting friends couple massage or even booking one for a friend & myself. I've recommended so many friends here! I'll see you guys soon

I was gifted a Groupon for Eden Day Spa and received a massage and hot stone reflexology treatment…read more The latter was nice and relaxing, but the massage itself was so intense that it was a bit difficult to make it through. I'm someone who usually can't ask for hard enough pressure, but it was at times truly painful, and I even had some bruises the following day. That said, I did feel like the massage made me feel better and helped with some difficult knots, so I can't say it wasn't effective. The lack of cleanliness in the locker room was also a miss for me. When I showered after my massage, I was kind of grossed out to find that the shower didn't drain properly, and in just a couple of minutes it had filled a few inches with water that had a bunch of hair in it from previous users. Although I thought the facility was nice and peaceful overall, I don't think that I would return.
