David is the best. You can tell he knows what he's doing, is honest, works hard, and treats his customers well. I had a Lexus 2008 IS250 in which the touchscreen had stopped working and the trunk would not open. It's been hard to find someone to know how to fix it. David gave me a very reasonable quote and explained what he thought the problem was and how he would solve it. I told him it was my commuting car and that I needed it back ASAP. I dropped it off on a Friday afternoon and he had the touchscreen fixed and ready for pick up the following Monday. He was even willing to wait for me to pick it up - I work up the hill and it takes me approximately an hour to get back to Upland. He told me, "don't rush, I'll be here." He told me to swing by on the weekend to get the trunk fixed, since the part didn't come in until the Tuesday after, and I could keep using my car to commute during the week. When I came by that Saturday, he fixed the trunk, and even replaced my windshield wipers and a fuse in my car so that I can put a car charger in. All under 20 minutes and he didn't charge me labor for "straightforward" things like that. I would like to share my experience with Upland auto electric.After taking my 2002 Dodge caravan to another shop to be repaired for what I thought was a need for a tune up because of misfiring the problem was not fixed. I was told that the car needed a catalytic converter . The manager of this place recommended a muffler place so I went there to to have it repaired. He said that the catalytic converter definitely need to be replace but after replacing it , it did not fix the problem so he recommended to take it back to the guy who worked on it originally. So back I went. So after a week and a half with out my van. The guy said he thinks it's something electrical because they could not figure it out. He said that I might try Upland auto electric on 9th street in Upland. I went down there and me the owner a very nice and knowledgeable young man named David. He said that he would be happy to look at and let me know what the problem was . I left my van with him and he called me back a day or so later and told me what it was and the price to fix it. His pricing was reasonable so I told to go ahead and fix it. When I picked up my van it ran great. Sadly, following pre-arranged personal visit where David visually inspected my vehicle, gave a rough estimate (grain of salt taken) and a promise to produce an actual quote within the week... after 10 days (and 2 follow-up calls), David had still failed to produce the quote. Even more sadly, we had arranged a time to have me come and visit again, confirm the estimate and even pre-pay or parts... Davis blew me off and didn't show. Very disappointed. Can't actually review the business due to above. I'm chalking it up to them being too busy, but busy is busy. Still, you keep your promises. You call people back and inform them.
