I decided to use this place after a lot of research on collision centers my insurance covers. There were a lot of 5 star reviews, a just a couple one star. I made my appointment a week ahead of time and showed up 15 minutes early. The door was locked, and someone came out to help me letting me know they would be with me shortly. She then came back outside and stated the people who were going to do my estimate were not there and I needed to reschedule. I got no call beforehand letting me know about this and there was no explanation. These guys were our salvation to getting our work truck fixed. After taking it to Upland Collision nobody wanted to touch our truck. I would highly recommend this place. It's all the little things they did that add up. We first brought our car in for what we thought was some paint damage and Ralph took a look at it and realized it was only surface level and scrubbed it away and didn't charge us anything. We knew we would come back here if we had more repairs. Fast forward one month and we have some damage on the front bumper so we bring the car back in. We only have one car, so they gave my wife a ride to her school nearby after she dropped off the car. They kept us informed through the process and did an exceptional job repairing our bumper. This is by far the strangest experience I've had with a business. The warning signs were present as soon as I made the first phone call. The lady that answered the phone had a tone as if she was doing me a favor by answering the phone. It's difficult to explain, so you will have to hear it for your self when you call. It's a condescending tone as if I should be on my knees thanking my good fortune that I can have the privilege to bring my business here. At the time I felt that it was that perhaps she was having a bad day. Everyone has a bad day right? So I made the appointment and got the estimate, and I have to say the man I talked to was pleasant and I thought we'll let's give it a shot. My claim was through a major top 3 US insurer , and this shop just happens to be an authorized repair shop for this major insurance company. So needless to say this is easy money, guaranteed payment for services rendered. Then the trouble starts. I called back and I recognized the lady that picked up the phone, and she had the same tone as the first time. I should have hung up, but I asked for the appointment. Then she says, we need a deposit. I said no problem talk to the insurance company, they are handing 100% of the repair cost. She said "no, this can't be covered by the insurance company, we need you to pay out out pocket, just in case you change your mind." I called the insurance company and the rep said she never heard of such a thing and called the repair shop to guarantee them that all costs are 100% covered. So, why would I make a deal with a shop that I don't intend to use? I'm an bewildered honestly. This shop gave up a guaranteed pay out just in case I changed my mind. Needless to say I took my business else where and OMG! It was a night and day difference. If you wan to know where I made my repairs check out my other reviews, and you won't be sorry. Great shop After a fender bender, the party at fault's insurance (a smaller company) was accepted by Ralph's shop to repair some damage that had been caused. Ralph's team disagreed with the insurance estimate and fought and won to get my vehicle returned to its status before the accident. He handled behind the scenes communications from the rental car company and the insurance company, making it all the less stressful experience. What's best, the car had lost its charge due to a dash cam I left plugged in during repairs, and the car battery died on me at the gas station. I called Ralph and a 10 minute drive later, he jumped my battery just like that (battery since fine after discovering the issue).
