The owners of this restaurant are absolutely incredible people, I learned persian a few years ago, and these people were the only ones who actually knew it and spoke to me longer than a second; I can tell this restaurant is the authentic persian dining experience from this interaction alone! The food is exactly what you would expect, I got the Qormeh Sabzi and Ash Reshteh, the person I came with, ate Garlic Chicken Kebab and had Garlic Paste, if you have had Qormeh Sabzi before you know what to expect, it was very delicious and had that authentic flavor. The Ash is traditionally a breakfast-y food, it's a stew, it's great to break up the bread and put it in the Ash, eat it with a fork, very good! The Garlic Chicken Kebab is absolutely incredible, I think if that was all I got, it still would be worth a stop just on its own. The atmosphere was relaxed, there were nice decorations of ancient Iranian civilization, stuff you would see on the walls of Persepolis. The TV was playing nature, it also played some persian music, and azeri music came on too, I enjoyed my time here.

Saturday night takeout was an amazing feast packed with authentic Persian cuisine that rivals the Darya's of Anaheim and Raffi's of Glendale. Upland Kabob, in my book, is the Inland Empire's go to place when craving for this traditional ethnic delight. The pictures really don't give justice to the dining pleasure our family had. They packaged the chicken and koubideh in an aluminum container. While we were waiting for our daughter to pickup the food, we fired up our oven to 500F, prepared our own raw red onions with sumac and warmed butter ready for our pita bread, I also scooped some hummus from our stash and drizzled it with extra virgin olive oil (colavita) and sweet paprika. We had the ingredients for shirazi salad at home so we made our own as well with fresh mint from our garden. When we were all ready to devour our feast with our rice warmed up and ready, I stuck in the aluminum container in the oven for 8 minutes with the lid detached and placed loosely over to protect the meat from over heating. Chicken Barg was so juicy and tender!! The garlic paste elevated the taste to a "shake your head" approval. Koubideh was succulent and firm!! Squeezed a dash of lemon juice and a slice of roasted tomato for acidity with the fluffy lubia polo and wow - truly a foodies delight. Fessenjan - I ate this after the Koubideh and chicken Barg. This was just unexpected. For years, I've had to travel to other Persian restaurants when I had a craving. So I wasn't expecting this from a restaurant that I chose since my daughter was close by. What a valuable gem this place is. The quality of their fessenjan exceeded my expectations. The pomegranate and walnuts were just the right mix to complement the chicken. The sauce with the fluffy basmati was a marriage made in heaven. Baklava - there was still some heat in our oven so we put it in for 5 minutes to warm it up and get the nut oils to melt into the pastry while we were making our mint tea. Oh yeah- there was no better way to cap our evening. Even the Baklava was good. To the staff who were generous in their servings. Every penny was worth it. I work hard so I appreciate the people who work hard to deliver a product. Everything was cleanly packed and you can tell attention to detail is what Upland Kabob has and not to mention the kind phone order taker and maitre d' who was very hospitable while my daughter was waiting for the takeout. Thank you for a job well done and for making our home dining experience enjoyable.

Delicious Middle Eastern food with amazing flavor and generous portions! The hummus was smooth and fresh, the pita was warm and perfect for dipping, and the grilled meats were juicy and perfectly seasoned. We loved the koobideh, chicken, and shrimp combo. The rice was fluffy, the salad fresh, and the lemonade hit the spot. Great service, super family-friendly vibe. We left full and happy.

Delicious food. The service was excellent and attentive. I came in late toward the end of dinner service and everyone was still extremely polite. The tomatoes were very yummy. The kabobs were exactly like my friend's mom makes them and they are Persian. An excellent meal and I would eat here again. The hummus was memorable. Very, very good.

Just finished our little family dinner and I must say we really enjoyed our first visit here! The customer service is on point. attentive and friendly. Malad was our server and he was great. We had salmon kabob, chicken saltani plates. All plates with rice and salad. Hummus and pita bread delish!! Baklava- omg, some of the tastiest I have had in a long time! A nice little spot and we plan on returning for sure! Thanks for the hospitality! Don't forget to ask for the Garlic paste. I had to purchase and take home! Mmmm

Delicious garlic sauce that they sell in house and on Amazon.

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and great customer service! Popped in for a quick lunch and were not disappointed. Beef Koubideh and Tender chicken were both tender and juicy! Garlic sauce is to die for- so we bought a couple to go! Definitely recommend

If you're looking for the definitive Lebanese experience in the IE, this is the order to beat. The Breakdown: * The Trio Grill: You get a sampling of everything--chicken, beef, and kefta kebabs. The chicken kebab was the standout for me; it was incredibly tender and had that perfect open-flame char that you just can't replicate at home. * Baba Ghanoush: This was a smoky revelation. You can taste the fire-roasted eggplant in every bite, and the texture was perfectly whipped and creamy without losing its soul. It's easily some of the best in the area. * Tabouleh: So many places use too much bulgur, but Mezzaterranean does it right. It was a bright, herbaceous explosion of fresh parsley and lemon that cut through the richness of the grilled meats perfectly. * The Extras: It all comes together with their fluffy rice and warm pita. Pro tip: use the pita to make little "mini-tacos" with a piece of chicken, a dollop of baba ghannouj, and a pinch of tabouleh. The Verdict: The portions on the Trio Plate are massive (definitely enough to share, though you might not want to). Everything tasted fresh, vibrant, and authentic. It's clear this family-run spot puts a lot of heart into their recipes. 10/10, will be back for more of that garlic sauce!

As we were brainstorming what type of cuisine we wanted, we both agreed upon West Asian/Middle Eastern. So, of course, I hopped on Yelp and was delighted to findCafe X2O! Seeing that it was a Lebanese spot, I knew that the food would be pretty good from the get-go. When we arrived to the restaraunt for late lunch, we were seated promptly, given the menus, and water to drink. We ordered the chicken breast kabob plate, the beef shawarma plate, with sides of grilled vegetables, hummus, baba ghanouj, and toum (garlic sauce). Of the bunch, the baba ghanouj and toum were my FAVORITE! SO FLAVORFUL! As for the grilled vegetables, I'm personally not a fan of whole roasted roma tomatoes and a whole grilled zucchini. The chicken kabob and beef shawarma plates were pretty yummy! However, I did prefer the meat and the rice to be a lot more seasoned & salted. They both tasted a bit too bland for my personal liking, however, the proteins were tender and cooked to perfection! (I do tend to be extremely particular about West Asian/Middle Eastern food, given that I am West Asian/Middle Eastern myself and have high expectations when eating out - hence the preference in extra seasoning! ) I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have ayran (Middle Eastern yogurt drink), as most spots tend have this on their beverage menu. That would've been perfect to sip on the extremely hot day it was! I do plan on coming back here to try out their falafel and shawarma wraps. Highly recommend to folks in the area that are curious to try West Asian/Middle Eastern food and are looking for a solid spot to eat!
