Came in here for lunch the other day to try it and the nicest couple in the world owns and operates this restaurant. Service was immediate and one of the owners came to take my trash off my table while I waited for my food. I got the Chicken wrap and it was absolutely incredible. Risen Bakery & Grill has a lot going for it. The parking lot is a bit small, but there's parking available on both sides of the building, so it actually works out just fine. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, offers a gender-neutral restroom, and has a nice little sitting area that makes it comfortable to dine in. The menu is big but not overwhelming, which I really appreciated. There are plenty of options without feeling lost. The prices are also a good value for the portion sizes you receive -- definitely fair for what you get. I ordered two items. The first was the Beef Wrap Kabab with Hummus. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark for me. The beef was cold, dry, and lacked flavor. The hummus was okay and worked well as a dipping sauce, but it couldn't fully save the wrap. I've had this same wrap at a different location before and it was served hot and very tasty, so I was a little disappointed this time around. Now the second item -- the Chicken Shawarma Plate -- completely turned the experience around. It came with a fresh, crispy, delicious salad, a warm and flavorful bed of rice, and beautifully hot chicken that had all the flavor the wrap was missing. Everything tasted fresh and properly prepared. And the garlic dipping sauce? It curled my toes and danced merrily in my mouth Absolutely incredible. That plate made me forget about the cold wrap real quick. The cashier was nice, the place was clean, and overall it was a good experience. Outside: There is a good amount of outdoor seating! It's supper easy to find, and there is a lot of parking! Inside: There's only a few tables, but that's okay. I went at lunch time and a lot of people were taking stuff to go! So I don't think that should be an issue. Food: The sandwich was nothing special, we wouldn't get it again. Their chicken/filet mignon kabobs, rice, salad, pita bread, hummus, and garlic sauce were amazingly tasty. Big chunks of moist chicken and filet mignon. If you get the combo plate, you can get double chicken or mix of chicken + filet mignon... this is a really good deal! Good portions in everything. Falafel was good, too. Flavors were top notch all around. And last, but not least, they make out of this world baklava... they are light, crispy, not heavily sweet... just so yummy! Best baklava I have ever eaten hands down. My favorites are no topping baklava and pistachio baklava. The dark chocolate, white chocolate, and pistachio sauce baklava were a bit sweeter IMHO. What a great establishment! Visited for the first time with a group of friends. The owner really went out of his way to accommodate us as soon as we pulled into the tight parking lot. Bright and modern very clean and organized. The outdoor patio is a great space for larger groups. Inside are bar stools and tables. Greeted with a warm welcome and bright smiles. The menu is easy to navigate through, desserts are displayed to view while ordering. A gracious friend treated our table to baklava! A delectable dessert to add for that grand finale. Drinks include fountain sodas, bottled beverages, coffee, tea and lemonade. Apart from the Mediterranean dishes there's also a choice of burger with fries if you're feeling classic. A solid choice for Mediterranean. Creamy hummus with bold flavor. Rice was well seasoned and falafel was crispy on the outside with a tender center. 5/18/24 Our friends got together one Saturday evening at this place. It's been on my radar since we've driven past it so many times--and it really just looks intriguing (coz of the name) & inviting. Parking is a bit limited but we managed to grab a spot. The staff & owner were kind, so welcoming when we walked in. It is as if were houseguests visiting from out of town. The lady behind the counter, Amani (I hope I guessed the spelling close enough) was especially attentive. We opted to seat ourselves at the outdoor patio for some fresh air. It was quite comfortable in terms of the weather. We each ordered at the counter & I opted for the Kofta combo which is paired with rice, pita, hummus & a side salad. One other friend ordered the chicken combo, then one other friend ordered the falafel combo. One friend wanted something different & got the cheeseburger. We additionally got baklava (one friend got it for us to try) and I ate mine in about 3 bites--it was really good, not too sweet. You can tell it was made with love & fresh ingredients. My kofta combo was delivered to our table in a fairly timely fashion. We dug in as soon as everyone received their food. I enjoyed mine, loved the flavors of the seasoned meat & the rice was delicious. It's quite a huge portion & I barely ate half of it. Thankfully it already came in a to go container. I've always been curious about its name so I asked the owner, Gabriel (who had come by to ensure we were taken care of). Why "Risen"? So he said because of 3 reasons: this spot had been consumed by a fire in the past and after a rebuild/ remodel it's "risen" from the ashes, then since it's a bakery, its like a nod to how bread "rises" and thirdly, he says it is because of the Lord who has "Risen" Now it makes a lot of sense. I even hear religious songs playing softly in the speakers. Great name for a restaurant. Good food & company-great combo with very nice and attentive staff, what's not to love? Closed Sunday.. Outdoor and indoor seatings available, small parking lot in back . Inside and outside perimeter and bathroom was clean . Met some friends for breakfast at 8:30 am . We sat outside under their patio area catching up and waiting on another friend to join us . While we waited one of the employee, Nemo a friendly smiling lady brought over 3 baklava for us to try . Wow! She read my mind lol!! Baklava is one of the fresh baked pastries I wanted to try . It was flaky and delicious. I ended up purchasing 6 more assorted baklavas to take home . I was informed by Nemo the pastries in side the glass case is fresh baked in house. Definitely coming back again for some desserts. I had their meat Kafka wrap , it's tastes mild , I recommend to add more of the pickled vegetables inside the wrap for boost of flavors.
