Had the incredible breakfast burrito upon stumbling across this food spot this past Thursday and was pleasantly surprised by not only the service but also the tremendous food! I would highly recommend this place to anyone, especially anyone with an affinity for a delicious breakfast burrito.

Fantastic food! The combo plate was enough for my dad and I. We ate so good. Everything on our plate was incredible and cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly and helpful with our order taking. The restaurant was very clean and spacious, with outdoor seating and plenty of parking. We will return soon to try all of their amazing food!

Menu as of 2-13-26, prices have gone way UP!

I thought I reviewed this place already. It's so good. I've eaten here on a few times, it's spendy!. I think since things have gone up across the board they have to also raise prices. The food is fresh and made to order. I LOVE their garlic sauce. The customer service here is also great. Today for a combo plate and extra side of the garlic sauce. It was $27. :( worth it though because of the quality.

Little family owned, hole in the wall place here in Upland with some delicious pastries and Mediterranean food. The also serve breakfast as well! I love eggplant and the Italian eggplant sandwich is definitely a must have served in a freshly baked pita bread. Side of fries sold separately. Reasonable prices here. Will definitely be back! Love the hospitality here. I got full from eating all that but next time I come will try one of their pastries. They make fresh cheesecake which I love!

Small quaint place with small area for seating. Lady is nice. I ordered to-go and it took about 15 minutes I ordered: Combo plate with chicken and steak kabob - average. Meats are a little dry and there's just too much rice and not enough protein. Salad and hummus are good. Worse thing was the bread. It was so hard and inedible. I think she microwaved it and that's why it got hard. Baklava - dry, not good Dubai cheesecake - best unique tasting cheesecake I've ever had. The cream tasted more like a whipped cream or ice cream. So decadent. I'd come back only for this.

Food is top tier here got a steak nd chicken plate and it was 5/5!!! Super good The service was good the lady upfront was kind and made sure to put utensils as every restaurant should! Vibes in there were chill for the most part but the food speaks for itself !

Food was very tasty and juicy meat so that was good you can tell they make everything fresh and the pita bread was made fresh, which is a first in all the local spots I have tried. Service was great and I was recommended a special but opted to go with the combo plate. The place was newly renovated and overall very clean. The price for the combo plate after taxes was $24 and my husband and I split it. Would try again and I will be coming back! Thank you!!

First time trying Mediterranean food and wow!!! Everything was very flavorful. I have seen this spot for many years and finally decided to give it a try. Will definitely be coming back. Not only was the food very good but the owners were so friendly and attentive. They made sure everything was tasting good and we definitely noted how proud they are of their business. I cannot wait to keep coming back and trying more things!

    Christopher D.

The chicken schwarma flavor is an A. It's prepared with fresh ingredients and cooked properly. My only quibble is that it's a little small for the price. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area as service was friendly and dishes prepared to order. There's some seating inside but I'd take it to go.

    Many dessert pastry options!!

Little gem of a place! Friendly service with great recommendations: Tasted the chicken shawarma wrap and hubby tried their combo plate with 2 meats!! Fresh and tasty!! Place is clean and a great place for dinner or stop in for some coffee and fresh BAKLAVA and other pastry options Definitely will be back!! They have a mon-friday combo special going to try the next time we visit!!

Fixed a craving after exercise with Risen Bakery. The woman at the front recommended the chicken wrap, which was delicious. I saved half of it for tomorrow's lunch. The tour was delectable as well. Get an extra cup to go!

Finally got to pop in and try this place. My daughter and I drove by saying we should check them out and we finally made it a dinner option. I had the chicken kabobs which I really liked. The flavor was great and the garlic sauce/butter was perfect. My daughter got the steak kabobs and I tried some, but was impressed with the toughness of the meat. The girl running the front was friendly and the inside and outside of the store was clean. We said we would come back and check out the breakfast again see how we like it.

    Beef Kabab Wrap with hummus
    Ricardo E.

Risen Bakery & Grill has a lot going for it. The parking lot is a bit small, but there's parking available on both sides of the building, so it actually works out just fine. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, offers a gender-neutral restroom, and has a nice little sitting area that makes it comfortable to dine in. The menu is big but not overwhelming, which I really appreciated. There are plenty of options without feeling lost. The prices are also a good value for the portion sizes you receive -- definitely fair for what you get. I ordered two items. The first was the Beef Wrap Kabab with Hummus. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark for me. The beef was cold, dry, and lacked flavor. The hummus was okay and worked well as a dipping sauce, but it couldn't fully save the wrap. I've had this same wrap at a different location before and it was served hot and very tasty, so I was a little disappointed this time around. Now the second item -- the Chicken Shawarma Plate -- completely turned the experience around. It came with a fresh, crispy, delicious salad, a warm and flavorful bed of rice, and beautifully hot chicken that had all the flavor the wrap was missing. Everything tasted fresh and properly prepared. And the garlic dipping sauce? It curled my toes and danced merrily in my mouth Absolutely incredible. That plate made me forget about the cold wrap real quick. The cashier was nice, the place was clean, and overall it was a good experience. I'll definitely be back -- but next time I'm sticking with the warm plated dishes. Maybe I just chose the wrong wrap this time. It would have easily been a 5-star experience, but the wrap threw me off a bit. Still, thank you for the experience -- I'll be back.

The pasta was swimming in a watery tomato sauce that made me just angry and grossed out . It didn't taste like authentic Italian food at all, specially from being from Europe, this was nonsense. I was also confused by the concept. The restaurant presents itself as Italian, yet the menu mixes Italian and Mediterranean cuisines in a way that felt inconsistent rather than complementary. The only positive part of my visit was our server. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and did a wonderful job. Unfortunately, the food was so disappointing that I wouldn't return. If you're looking for the definitive Lebanese experience in the IE, this is the order to beat. The Breakdown: * The Trio Grill: You get a sampling of everything--chicken, beef, and kefta kebabs. The chicken kebab was the standout for me; it was incredibly tender and had that perfect open-flame char that you just can't replicate at home. * Baba Ghanoush: This was a smoky revelation. You can taste the fire-roasted eggplant in every bite, and the texture was perfectly whipped and creamy without losing its soul. It's easily some of the best in the area. * Tabouleh: So many places use too much bulgur, but Mezzaterranean does it right. It was a bright, herbaceous explosion of fresh parsley and lemon that cut through the richness of the grilled meats perfectly. * The Extras: It all comes together with their fluffy rice and warm pita. Pro tip: use the pita to make little "mini-tacos" with a piece of chicken, a dollop of baba ghannouj, and a pinch of tabouleh. The Verdict: The portions on the Trio Plate are massive (definitely enough to share, though you might not want to). Everything tasted fresh, vibrant, and authentic. It's clear this family-run spot puts a lot of heart into their recipes. 10/10, will be back for more of that garlic sauce!

I was warmly greeted by a lovely lady who seemed to be both the manager and the waitress. The restaurant has a vintage style; it's set in an old building, giving it a vibe, but honestly, it looked a bit worn down and didn't seem that clean especially the restroom, which also didn't appear very sanitary. For food, I tried the sujuk appetizer: a spicy sausage with sautéed veggies. Unfortunately, it wasn't like what I've had before; something about the taste was off, and I didn't enjoy it. I also ordered the mixed grill plate, which came with three portions: chicken, ground beef, and steak. The steak was actually quite good, and I really enjoyed that, but the chicken didn't taste like a young, fresh chicken; it was like one of those big, hormone-fed birds. The rice was not fresh and it was a warm up from the day before. Overall, I didn't really like the food quality and didn't feel like it matched the price at all. On the plus side, the service was really nice; that lady was very kind and genuine. One odd thing was that there was nothing on the table; no salt, pepper, napkins, or sauces. you have to ask for everything. And since the railroad is so close, you occasionally hear a loud train passing by. All in all, despite the warm service, I probably won't be coming back.
