I really enjoyed it! We ordered a large half pepperoni and pineapple half pepperoni and sausage as well as a half order of the garlic cheese bread and everything was perfect! The slice and a soda deal is great and for a few bucks more you can make it one of the very good, regional beers on tap. I'll give anyone the benefit of the doubt for an off visit, but my last two to Upper Crust they have brought my slice with significantly less cheese than they used to. The place is pretty cool on the inside, and has lots of great craft brewery options with detailed chalkboards for each beer to choose from on the walls! I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza (well done) and it was quite good! The crust and toppings were super crispy and the pizza tasted great! The slice, which was a literal QUARTER OF A PIZZA, only cost $6.50 and came with a soda! Only thing to improve is that the soda machine was out of CO2, so that the soda was flat, but otherwise, really great. My son and I came here on day for lunch after a half day of school. We both had the slice and soda special. I added ham and onions to mine and he had pepperoni on his. The service was fast and friendly. Pizza came out hot and looked great. Crust had just the right amount of crispness all the way through the slice. The slice is huge, one was more than enough. Wow, something else! Like most Tucsonans, I had ducked into Upper Crust on occasion. I liked their pizza, but never really gave it much thought. However, I recently tried them for the first time in several years. I was floored. This time the pizza and the garlic knots were both what I would name as Best in Tucson. I complimented the chef, and he told me they have switched back to their 1988 recipe. They were proud of their product, and they should be. I've been here several times before and pretty much gotten the same few things each and every time: the 2 giant slices of Pep sometimes with the Caesar salad. We ordered by phone for delivery. I was placed on hold after three rings without even being asked to hold. I hung up after about a minute because I thought that was extremely poor customer service right off the bat. You should always ask if someone could hold, not just put them in the queue. My boyfriend called two minutes later and his order was taken promptly. We ordered a 12 inch pepperoni pizza and the pound of tysonized wings for around $32 and 40 minute delivery quote. The food showed up a bit early, and the driver was pleasant, but the pizza had slightly slid forward in the box. As pizza restaurant employees we get that this can happen, and that certainly wasn't our problem with the order. The problem was there was little to no sauce on this pizza. It was so cheese caked that you couldn't pull a slice from the pie because is was so spongey it would pull the cheese from all the other slices. I literally had to use some sauce i had in my fridge to add some source of moisture to the pizza, which didn't help the flavor at all. My boyfriend is an advocate for this place but I've got to say i am not at all impressed. He enjoyed his wings, but also told me they are nothing like he remembered. Not enough buffalo sauce in the mix. But he is still okay with what he got in that aspect. We both agree the pizza was sub par. I hope that the quality of this place increases and meets the standards that he is use to from Upper Crust. read more

Went on a Sunday afternoon. Wait was 30 minutes for a pizza. Ordered garlic cheese bread to come out first, but it came out with the pizza. Pizza is really good. Not quite as thin as a true NY pizza (I'm from NY), but taste was up there. Good chew crust and cheese. Two turnoffs... 1. Tables were dirty. Napkins and cheese everywhere. Not too many people came in, so there didn't seem to be a reason why they couldn't straighten up the dining area. 2. Two guys sitting behind us ordered pizza to go. When it arrived, they opened the box to eat a slice before leaving with it, probably because they had to wait so long. I know this because one of the employees came to their table and said, ""Next time if you're gonna eat here, I'd rather not waste a box." To which they replied they were eating a slice and then taking the pizza home. It was not professional at all to tell a customer that, especially in the tone he used. Those customers didn't have a responsibility to defend themselves and it made it awkward for everyone else sitting there. Unfortunately it hasn't maintained its quality. The service here is great. Just like I remember. The place also looks similar to the way it used to. They have some of the same posters on the wall. I was happy that the tacky tables were gone. They used to have magazine cutouts encased by a sheet of glass. Pizza is looks like it used to. The slices are absolutely huge. good, big slices. It's a bit more expensive than what I remember, but still worth the price for what you get, but is not what it once was. The pizza is mediocre. While the crust is good, the rest of it is not so much.
