Ordered an 18" half and half specialty pizza online. Half meat lovers and half chicken pesto. The order was ready for pick up right on time and still hot. Crust was tasty and crispy, NOT burnt at all. I liked both sides but the meat lovers edged out for me. There was a good amount of meat without being overload and heartburn inducing. The chicken pesto was good too but I wish there was a little more pesto. I'll have to request it next time. The chicken was a bit dry but that's to be expected from the pizza oven. I wish the price was a bit cheaper but it's better than the other NY pizza place in town! read more

I have never been a big fan of pizza. About 5 years ago I found a little place in Vista with the best Brooklyn style pizza and the coolest owner. After about 2 years of going there with my kids, the owner decided to sell and move out of state. I have not enjoyed pizza since then. Until I was out running errands one day and came across this place that sold pizza by the slice. I was starving so I went in. The pizza was AMAZING and the closest I will ever find to my old spot. The staff were very friendly and told me about every pizza they had available. They have at least 10 options of pizza by the slice. Their lunch special is 2 slices and a drink for only $9. I'd say this is our #2 pizza spot after Bottega Italia in Old Town. Bottega's more traditional Italian, better ingredients, better dough IMO. UES is a good slice, but NY? I don't know about that... the water is the trick up in NYC... same goes for the bagels up there. The $9 special for two slices and a drink is a great deal tho... we'll be back for that. Stopped in for their grand opening. Lots of slice options! More than any over place I've ever been to. We grabbed a pepperoni slice, a pepperoni jalapeno and pineapple slice, and a deluxe slice. All three were great. The best part was the crust, very New York like crust that not a lot of places can pull off. The place was a zoo cause it was so busy during their grand opening but all the staff was on it and friendly. I will be going back for sure! read more

FINALLY A GREAT PIE IN TEMECULA!! Being a family that lived many years in Philadelphia, this pizza is the closest thing to East coast pizza around here. The staff is very nice and helped me out quickly. They remodeled the inside and gave this pizza shop a much needed facelift. Most importantly, this pizza has the perfect crust, perfect amount of cheese, perfect amount of crisp.. it is perfect and this will be our go to spot. The food is pretty good, but orders are consistently wrong. Tonight we ordered two pizzas, a calzone and a house salad. Arrived early to pick up. Pizzas were ready, calzone still cooking. Ok, but the pizzas were cold when we got them home. Also requested no black olives in the salad. Black olives were added. It went in the trash. Wasted money again. I'm so happy that the owners of Upper East Slice are the sons of the owners of the former pizzeria Bongiorno's. The pizza, Stromboli, garlic knots, and cannolis we ordered today were absolutely delicious! The new store front is very nice and we like the clever name they chose for the new place as well. The food is just as good as our beloved Bongiorno's and we will always be faithful patrons for sure. I should also note that we're from New York and so this pizzeria is very reminiscent of home for us. read more

We were driving home around 8:30pm, I was thinking about how there's usually not much food options open except fast food - I had just gone to NYC last month and thought about the options like pizza, and boom this place showed up on my search, HAD to turn around and try it. Did not disappoint, pizza was delicious and just like NYC, service / staff was so friendly and accommodating (they were closing early for being a slow day), and the ambiance is super cute (think gold stools and NYC memorabilia). Heard about this place from a buddy of mine so I had to try it. Have to say one of the best pizza places I've had in a while. The sauce was very flavorful and the crust was amazing! I got the standard cheese pizza and even just that was really good. Only thing that I had to complain about is that they don't take cash.
