The favorites of the night: pesto chicken sandwich, and pulled pork sandwich. Everyone enjoyed the fries, both potato and sweet potato. I had the taco salad and it was good, but the ground beef was a bit dry. Overall, everything was good. The food, the service and the beer. I'm sure we will eat there again.

I will say that I was not disappointed. The first visit I sat at the bar and enjoyed some world cup soccer, a great beer, and the star of the day, an amazing burger and fries! The next time I visited Deschutes, my daughter joined me. I had a tasty salad and an ipa. My daughter just ordered fries, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Our server, who' name I cant remember was excellent and the beer was brought out immediately and the salad and fries followed soon after. If you live in Portland and have not visited Deschutes, or if you are in town for a short visit, I definitely recommend Deschutes!

The taproom is located in an industrial area and shares a space with Pizza Thief. Parking is plentiful and on the Thursday afternoon that I stopped by, the taproom was pretty empty. Happy hour is from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and you're able to get $3 off of select pints. I opted for the Northleft, a hazy IPA and for $4, it can't be beat. This particular hazy had great texture and the hops really pack a punch. If you're not familiar with Great Notion beers, they also have a bunch of delicious sours and "smoothies" that are otherwise very difficult to find from other breweries. It's a true art and only talented brew masters are able to create beers this tasty. If you have an opportunity to head towards this part of town, I highly recommend checking out Great Notion. If you're working remotely, they also have guest WiFi you can connect to to get some work done with beer in hand.

If I'm being honest, I don't come here for food because they mostly have pizza I believe and for my money their are better places to grab a slice. There's a bar and a patio. Basic looking. It's about $8 a pint. Can be expensive, but many of the beers are made in small batches. There's many beers that change depending on the season. Best one we had the last time was the Brews For New Avenues. This is a pale ale, and proceeds are donated to charities for the homeless and others. It has notes of citrus, guava, and red berry. The other beers include some with floral flavors if you're into that kind of stuff. For sure it's a place with high quality beers. It's located on SE Stark between 10th and 11th. They're closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
