Ernest, who owns this business replied rapidly to our SOS that our HVAC had quit our 2200 Sq Ft. one story house right at the start of the recent 2 week horrible heat wave. We knew it wasn't repairable anymore and he confirmed that. We needed a new HVAC system. We interviewed several people with different HVAC companies, but his knowledge and helpfulness was outstanding and his price was also outstanding. He got us a top-of-the line HVAC system after he explained what we needed in great detail and moved us to electric. Plus the duct work was falling apart and it needed to be raised up so he promised to put in a new better duct system. Which he did. He even arranged for us to get a much needed decent loan in order to purchase it. His team started the work in just a couple of days and they worked so hard in such terrible heat and managed to get it done in one day. They were friendly and polite and cleaned up everything very quickly. The Thermostat wasn't working properly and Ernest figured it out the next day and took care of it. After it was all installed we decided, after seeing the mangy, well-worn, fly-away installation in the attic where the HVAC was installed, that we needed new installation. Ernest and his crew agreed 100%. So, we had his crew remove the very, very old installation and put in new installation. Ernest arranged another good loan for us to be able to afford to put new, again top-of-the-line, installation in. His crew for that was as excellent as the HVAC crew. You certainly can't find any company better to replace an HVAC system than UPRIGHT CONSTRUCTION & HVAC. Of course, our air conditioner stops working during a heat wave. It was a Saturday afternoon and I couldn't reach our regular HVAC company so went online to look for a 24/7 company. After reading good reviews for Upright Construction & HVAC, I decided to give a call. Imagine how surprised I was when a real person answered the phone, listened to my sob story, and said that they could have someone there in about 3 hours. When Ernie arrived, he went right to work trying to figure out what the problem was. After trying a number of things to repair the outside condenser unit, Ernie informed that the fan was no longer functioning and could not be fixed. He gave us a fair quote and told us they could do the repairs on Monday. He also offered to bring us a portable unit for use until they could do the repair. We definitely took him up on his offer. On Monday, his crew showed up on time and completed the work in the timeframe we had been told. The crew took care with everything in our home and were respectful of our space. I was worried the system/unit might need replacing & about needing repair unexpectedly. He diagnosed the problems were all in the compressor unit, documented the issues with photos & quoted me a price. Given the amount of time and labor for dismantling, cleaning, salvaging and replacing parts to rebuild it back together, the price was fair, &work was done without drama & now AC is back on. Called another HVAC company and they replaced a capacitor causing the coil to freeze and condensation leaking in my walls through the light fixtures in my kitchen. Called Upright Construction & HVAC. Within 24 hours they diagnosed the problem, replaced my A/C condenser, Coils, and Heater. Had to use a crane to get the condenser to the 4th floor roof. Gave me a great deal and even handled the drywall repair for the access hole needed to access the heater & coils. These guys are incredible.
