This UPS driver is illegally demanding to see drivers license from customers or she will take back your package. She grabbed my DL out of my hand and took pictures of it with her personal camera shown in her front pocket. It is not policy of UPS to take photos of your DL. I'm worried for identity theft. After I questioned her if it is policy of UPS to take pictures of customer DLs with their personal phones she rudely told me she is taking my package back and to figure out how pick it up myself. I had to call the police. The dispatch supervisor for UPS Art Barajas told me it is not policy for UPS drivers to take pictures of your personal identification and he would have talk with her. He refused to give me her name so I could include it in my police report and told her to leave before police arrived. I'm at risk for identity theft and she is rude and ghetto towards customers, she should be fired to prevent her from intimidating and stealing other peoples DL information. I'm blessed with a two-hour lunch break at my workplace, therefore have time to run errands. I decided to pick up my package at UPS. I also feared I was going to miss the UPS delivery person and not get what I've been waiting for too. A bit of a line when I arrived at UPS -but moved adequately (I'm easily entertained, waiting in lines with my phone) as there was two attendants retrieving packages. Have your tracking number ready. Within 5 minutes, my package was retrieved from the back and I was off and on my way ... Small, free parking lot. Staff is wearing masks for COVID prevention. Just bring your inner "Greg Packer game" when you come get your package. It's honestly like UPS put an ad out to find the most incompetent employees in the world and decided to put them all here at this location. I was supposed to have 3 packages (all from different companies) delivered to my home last week - they all had the same delivery day. ALL three packages ended up saying "undeliverable" and when I called UPS customer service they said it was likely driver error and to go pick up my items at this location. Well, UPS customer service needs to get a clue - as this location actually doesnt store items aside from will-call items. I went to this location yesterday (the employee blamed the driver too!) and was told my items were actually at a warehouse and they can be sent here for will-call. I asked if they can send them to my address or another address (friends house) - they said no, its either back to the merchant or will-call. I opted for will-call... kicker is, the merchant has to make that change - so I was on hold for hours between all 3 merchants. One of my packages reflect that I was delivered to UPS will-call YESTERDAY (the same day I made the call) - so I went first thing this morning after CONFIRMING (IN WRITING) with UPS customer service that it was indeed there... I get there and NOTHING. My package still is not there. So I leave and call customer service because the man at the store is VERY poor at explaining the steps that I and/or the merchant can take and how my package can be released to me etc (its a whole runaround if your shipping address doesnt match your ID, which I 100% understand but he explained it horribly) - Anyway, his manager or coworker had to come out from a back room to explain things to me and although I could understand her recommendations/next steps better... She was a total you know what. I left and called customer service again and said that my other packages are now reflecting that they've also arrived but that I dont want to go back unless they can tell me with certainty that they are there. They said they cannot call any UPS location (storefront) but that I can give them a hold number for each. So, I returned a THIRD TIME and gave them these hold numbers and STILL NOT PACKAGES. Between the driver who dropped the ball, the incompetent rude employees and customer service who has no idea how their actual storefronts work... I honestly question if I will ever have another UPS delivery (at least by choice). Should I order another anything that comes via UPS, and it goes missing, im going straight to the merchant rather than these geniuses, as It's like talking to a potato when you visit this "customer service" center. After struggling trying to change the delivery of my packages (it happened twice) to a UPS store two blocks away from me (so I can pick up after work). They said it was not possible and held it for pick up at this Arminta location. A few years ago they used to be opened till 6pm and also on Saturdays till 2pm (or something like that), so I did pick up a few packages there even though it was a bit inconvenient. Now..... They are opened M-F from 10am to 2pm !!!! Is this a joke? I actually work and definitely cannot go at those hours. As I m sure most people are in similar situation. How inconsiderate! Of customers. Eventually they send the package back to sender..... One of them I lost the money I paid for because it was too much hassle. So frustrating!! I am at home all day, Apartment Building with a Balcony facing the major street where delivery trucks park by the main entrance. Driver never showed up to deliver the package but they update the tracking on Amazon. Stet I g they tried to deliver. Drivers are liars and update with fake delivery status so they can go home early. They lost my package and when I filed a police report and a UPS report, a lady working here by the name PATRICIA started harassing me with her phone calls, saying she knows my name and address and she can see "I have filed a lot of prior police reports ". This particular UPS location has unreasonable operational hours from 9am-2pm. Which means, you have to take off work just so you can pick up your package! It's ridiculous!!! The ups customer service center Van Nuys is absolutely the worst. I have had countless packages delivered damaged, broken, the outerbox being destroyed, packages tampered with, as well as packages stolen. I have made several complaints about these incidences only to be told at the drivers Handly packages with the utmost care. We all know that is not true whatsoever. As a matter of fact I've received packages with footprints on them. Unfortunately I've had approximately 3 packages stolen and I had to file a police report police said they could not do anything because this is an ongoing issue with the porch Pirates. I did end up talking to a supervisor named lorenda. She was extremely rude, harsh, and abrasive while speaking to me, she is absolutely disuusting. For the most part she accused me of some wrongdoing and said I can't believe this and we will not pay your claim period, and hung up on me. Who treats a customer like that? Personally she must have issues in life to treat customers the way she treated me. I cant imagine how she treats her friends, family, or someone she has a problem with. Now UPS put a block on our delivery address as well as the driver refusing to make a delivery. A few months ago one of the drivers blatantly lied by saying I went to the delivery address and nobody was home. I know that because my neighbor received a package when I was outside. Now is this driver just lazy or is something else going on with certain drivers? Also UPS in Van Nuys only has 1 and a half Stars. Makes you wonder. We all have different opinions and post different reviews but how many people have received damaged, smashed, missing items in the package, or packages stolen? I would bet thousands. Please do yourself a favor and never use UPS for anything . Deceptive: they promise a delivery date but keep rescheduling. They push a paid service implying that my package will be delivered faster but when you don't buy the service they specifically delay your delivery. My tracking shows out for delivery and by end of day I should receive my package but late at night it shows exception and rescheduled. They teach you a lesson that you need to buy additional services from them to get your package on time even though the store I bought from paid for delivery. Your business will suffer delays all in the name of them milking you out of a few bucks. Don't use them for anything they are not an honest business. Online UPS is a disaster! I carefully arranged for an important delivery to be made on Thursday, 15 October. I allowed a day for contingency. Everything was in order. Except no delivery on Thursday. Tracking online said it would be delivered by noon on Friday, 16 October. Noon came and went. That night I checked tracking again. It said "delayed." This morning I checked. Tracking said it was at the Customer Center about 3 miles from me, in Van Nuys, CA -- and that delivery would be Monday! No, no-no! That is too late! The live representatives I spoke with were apologetic and made lots of excuses. They said delivery was closed today, Saturday. That didn't help. They said there was a "problem" with the address and they needed a manifest number. I said I wanted to talk to the station manager. They promised to relay my message and to expect a call in an hour. That was three hours ago and I am still waiting. I jumped in my car and drove to the facility. The counter was closed, but the warehouse was open. I asked for the station manager. A young supervisor was brought to me and asked for the tracking number. No fuss about "address," or "manifest." In a few minutes, he returned lugging my parcel -- a five-gallon pail of fire retardant. His name is Steve Kick, and if it wasn't for him, I would have taken further action. What was I prepared to do? My family was waiting for the word. We would have blocked the truck entrance with our vehicles until our problem was resolved -- or until we were hauled away by the police. This delivery was THAT important. Thanks to Mr. Kick, further action was not required. UPS needs to refine their system. They also need to promote Mr. Kick, an individual who recognizes the need for SOLUTIONS and not EXCUSES. I realize they have zillions of packages, and that is all the more reason to fix problems like mine. By the way, the delivery address was clearly marked and nothing that appeared to be a "manifest" number was identified. By the way, while I was writing this review, I noted that UPS had updated the delivery information for this parcel. You can see the emailed notice in the third photo. First, the item is described as a "letter," and second, it has the wrong delivery zip code. No wonder my urgent parcel was delayed. read more

The manager claimed my package wasn't there, found it but denied it was mine out of embarrassment, had me speak to 3 different representatives on the phone for an hour who claimed it is there but the manager argued with them that they're wrong, they don't know how to do their job, and to NOT open a lost investigation claim because she knows the package is not lost but she doesn't know how to get it to me. What The...?!?!? The Deets: Tried to Deliver notice. (I was home!) Dumped at "Fast Stop." Tried to Deliver. (I stayed home AGAIN!) Tried to Deliver. Wrong or missing apartment number. YET, the notice includes my ( hand written by the driver )apartment number. I have no clue as to why my (substitute?) DELIVERY DRIVER has no clue! I've left specific instructions. Dial 003. That's all. But No. She or He seems to prefer leaving post it notes for all the apartment residents on the call box. WithOUT ringing the resident. Nor our apartment manager. My regular delivery guy, Art, completely gets it, but when it's NOT him, watch out! Please chose USPS. FedEx is not reliable neither, from my experience. I've called the customer service center. I'm promised the local center will call me by a certain time. Nope. And that, the driver will be given the instructions. Not working. This special package, containing fragile antiques from my parents (who have recently passed away) was left at Fast Stop, a mini mart right next door to my other good guy, Art, proprietor of Mail Box Plus FedEx Ship Center. BEWARE: UPS DRIVER THEFT is taking place. Like many others have said, I wish I could give 0 stars. This is why: Six separate iPhones were supposedly "delivered" to my home this week. None were ever delivered. On Wednesday December 6th 2023, I obsessively followed the tracking minute-by-minute for the delivery of three iPhones from AT&T. (BTW, I work at home in front of a large window staring at my front door located five feet away.) When the package was apparently left "at the front door," I happened to be standing outside in front of the front door! There was never a UPS delivery to my home or my neighbors all day. It's no mystery that they didn't leave photo proof of the delivery. They were never here. The driver clearly lied. I called customer service and they contacted dispatch with the promise that dispatch would call me within minutes. I never received a call back. I let AT&T know, and they de-commissioned the phones remotely and sent me three new phones. On Friday for the second batch of 3 iPhones, I moved my work computer near the front door outside and spent the entire day freezing my a** off so this would not happen again. Guess what? The UPS driver updated the status as "delivered at front door" at 5:14PM, two minutes after the status changed from "loaded on truck" to "out for delivery." Do they have time machines now? Magically again, I was sitting there and no photo was taken. If there was, the photo would show me and my wife sitting by the front door! I called customer service. They promised me that dispatch would again call me within the hour. I waited, waited, and waited. I still have never heard anything from dispatch or anybody else at UPS. I tried to "file a claim" on the website, and it said there was an error and that I wasn't permitted to file a claim!! What in the world is happening?? My guess is that the driver, or a mastermind criminal employee in dispatch, is stealing these phones and selling new sealed phones to victims on the street or online. The phones won't work since they get shut down remotely, but that's not a problem for the criminal of course. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. 1. Called UPS customer service Thursday and was told my package would be available for pickup at 16000 Arminta St. Friday 2. Went to pick up 10AM Friday and was told my package is at a warehouse a mile away (no pickup available) and that I need to call the UPS hotline and ask them to move my package to 16000 Arminta St. 3. Called the hotline right away and explained the situation to the service rep. He's baffled and asked to speak to staff onsite. 4. The local staff that I handed my phone over to explained to the service rep that a. this place is overflowing so they had to get another warehouse a mile away. b. The service reps needed to call the warehouse to have packages moved from the warehouse to the facility at 16000 Arminta. This means you, the receiver, have to call the UPS hotline and talk to a service rep and request the package to be moved over from the warehouse to the service center. c. Let other service reps know that that is how it works at the facility at 16000 Arminta What the!? What kind of operation are they running here, or at UPS as a whole? The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing! In the meantime, people are wasting time trying to pick up packages that are not here. Thanks for wasting my time. read more

Uhm, I requested through UPS to have my package routed to be picked up through their customer care line. (I tried using the 'Change Delivery' option online as I do have a MY UPS CHOICE account, or whatever you call it. No matter how many times I clicked on it, it would ask me to log in again and the vicious cycle repeats). So then after directly requesting the change over customer service, I repeatedly confirmed with multiple agents to ensure that it was NOT going to be delivered at my home address as no one was going to be home during the weekend and we have had a few of our packages stolen before. I got a confirmation call from a number that stated on google it was connected to this location somehow. The person Robert left a voicemail saying that once the package is routed to this hub that they would hold it. I thought, 'Perfect!' right? I tried to call back the number to confirm (again) and the number was unreachable whatsover. Well, the next day I checked on the tracking information and lo and behold it was delivered at my home with a photo showing it sitting at our front door. I am lucky that my next door neighbor was home as we asked him to recover it and keep it safe until we came back. Look, I am very thankful the package was received at the end of it all, but definitely disappointed in this whole process. I really think UPS needs to re-evaluate their services and processes. If I could have, I would chosen an option for FedEx delivery for an extra fee. read more
